Priority Pet Hospital

We love Priority Pet Hospital for our dogs. They always take great care of them and even saved one of our dogs in an emergency. I highly recommend their care!

This practice is so booked up that it's nearly impossible to get an appointment within a month. Dr. Burns, from what I can tell, is very educated and compassionate. As far as the rest of the staff, I cannot say the same. Don't waste your time, call around and find a vet that can see your pet in an appropriate time frame. Take your business elsewhere and save yourself the frustration.

This place is the worst. All they care about is getting you in so you can pay for a visit. You cannot fill prescriptions anywhere but with them. It takes 1.5 hours for a very simple appointment. They made me come in to get my dog updated on his shots before they would refill his prescriptions. Turns out, he no longer needs that shot because he has gone blind, which they would have known had they ever followed up on him instead of cancelling his last appointment and just referring me to a specialist because they did not know what more they could do for him. Standard of care is a joke, accountability and follow-up is non-existent. I will be taking my pets and my business elsewhere.

First time client. The office staff were extremely helpful, when I was put on hold the actual doctor picked up and scheduled my appt and spoke with me for a few minutes. Upon arrival everyone who worked there was friendly, offering hellos and loving on my dog in the lobby. The vet techs and doctor spent a ton of time with me, looking over my senior dog thoroughly and offering great options for his arthritis, explaining everything in detail.

She wasn't quick to stick him with needles or do unnecessary things he likely didn't need. She also offered great advice on the new puppy we have arriving next week; when and how to socialize her and the safety of our upcoming camping trip. The vet techs (1 in training) were so sweet and did a great job with my dogs blood draw and shots. The vet personally called me back the following day to walk through his blood tests, and this was after a front desk follow-up call to see how he was doing post-shots. I was very impressed. Crossing my fingers they can keep this up, because if so, they have a long term client on their hands.

I rarely write reviews but I welcome the opportunity to share my feelings about Priority Pet Hospital. I have been with Dr Burns for 10 years now. She is so special. I trust her completely with my animals health. The technicians and office staff are also top notch. I highly recommend this practice for your pet(s).

05/09/2022: More than a year now, all good, still 5star. Very professional service. This was our first visit to this clinic and also first time in person. Doctor answered all my questions and clarify what is going on with my puppy. I will continue adding comments after each visit. 4/22/21

From the front desk to the vet techs to the vets, everyone is so kind and empathetic! I have seen Dr., Michael's, Barnes and Nichols and have been so very happy with the care my miniature schnauzer, Roxee, has received! As well as my Yorkie Ole, who has since passed. D Follow up is excellent They have always been there for me and my dogs when I've needed their help! A really well-run practice. Thank you for all you do.

I couldn't be happier with this pet hospital! I brought my two dachshunds in for a wellness exam and for their neuters. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating, making our whole experience feel easy and convenient. Dr Michael and all of the techs did a great job helping ease any anxiety for my pups and made sure that they felt comfortable while also being able to get any work done in a timely manner.

I was really surprised with how affordable they make everything, as well as having great payment options where you can sign up for a plan that spreads out the cost of vet visits, vaccines, etc. It makes it a lot easier to afford anything that my dogs may need. Highly recommend!

I often read reviews were people are upset they couldn't leave a 0 star but with priority pet hospital I am bummed out I can't leave a 10 star. The staff there is amazing and I genuinely mean that. The patience you have to have when dealing with my dog Kyla. She isn't the easiest. She had a traumatic experience as a pup at the vet and since then it's stayed with her.

We just moved from Colorado the only home she's ever known and that was stressful enough for her and then having to go to the vet she was not having it. I have been to multiple fear free vets in Colorado but none would bother and unfortunately my vet I used to go to retired at Buckley square veterinary clinic. with priority pet hospital they took the time to give me my options very upfront with pricing and above all the patience they have is immeasurable when dealing with special cases like my dog. I highly recommend this place and will be scheduling all of her needs with them in the future

I've been bringing my dogs here for years. They are prompt with their appointment times and their staff is compassionate. They do communicate clearly with me about what tests they are ordering and the purpose. However, they don't always ask me if that's what I want, so I have to be savvy about knowing what I do and don't want for my pets care. When I decline a test they are super about just moving on and not trying to convince me that I'm making the wrong choice. They are cooperative about helping me come up with a gradual care plan that meets my needs and my budget.

We are new to the area and picked this Vet because of reviews and it's close to our house. The Vet went through my dogs records and was aware of her issues and conditions before my appointment. My dog is a rescue and a little skittish around new people. They took their time with her and made her feel comfortable during the visit. Making an appointment for one of our other fur babies with them.

I am sure this is a great place based on the reviews. However, I emailed them to set up a dental cleaning for my dog. The receptionist called me and asked if I was a current client which I am not. She then said that service is for their clients only. My advice is next time use that service to get more clients! It would have been great if they called and said let's get that scheduled. Have you ever been in before? We would love to meet your pet and make you a client.

We have been taking our two Bergamasco sheepdogs to Priority Pet Hospital for over almost 5 years. We have always been extremely satisfied with their level of service, expertise, and advice. We would definitely recommend them to anyone in the area. Professional, courteous Doctors & staff. Facility is very clean.

Everyone at Priority is top notch! Have always been kind to us and equally kind to our animals who are sometimes (and not) kind to them. We had 2 cats that were patients there and now have 4 dogs that visit on occasion. I won't go anywhere else!

When I first moved to Arizona I lived in Gilbert, not my scene, but I'm very glad I did because I found Priority Pet Hospital. I now drive 40 minutes to take my dog here and highly recommend Dr. Burns and staff. They are fear free and Aaha accredited. Everyone is very professional, knowledgeable, caring, and patient. My dog is a rescue and they take very good care of her when she is there. From three years ago, they are becoming very busy and I'm so glad they are!

I was looking for a new vet, when we moved two years ago and found priority pet hospital. I feel fortunate that we have found a great place for the care of our fur babies! I appreciate the care, concern, and commitment we have received to date. If you are looking for a great vet that is transparent and provides quality services this is a great place! My fur baby has been coming to this clinic for a little over a year now. She got really sick over the weekend with a stomach bug. I called their office and Dr Burns picked up the phone herself. She was so pleasant and answered all my questions and concerns and gave me suggestions for care. What doctor picks up the phone and talks to pet parents directly anymore! She put all my worries at ease! I've always had a pleasant experience at this office! Absolutely recommend them!

Dr. Burns and staff never disappoints. They are a fear free practice. In fact, my service animal absolutely adores going to see her vet and the techs Because she knows she's going to get a lot of love and peanut butter :-

What a horrific experience! I will admit my dog is very anxious when she goes to the vet if it's not someone she knows and she will bark if you don't give her treats until she's realizes you are ok. And since I have given this office 3 separate appts times to get to know my dog-nope different dr every time! She's still anxious!

Being that they boast about providing a STRESS FREE environment, I would think more than 1 dr & asst. would try to win the dog/patient over by giving treats to reduce their stress. Show them this is going to be ok. While my dog is barking and Dr Nichols is standing 8 feet across the room telling me to speak up she can't her me when I was explaining why I was there & what was going on with my dog.

I finish speaking she says "ok, I'll go get the antibiotics, it's probably a bladder infection, we are checking urine now. Exam is $59 Urinalysis $89 plus the cost of meds for today." And she went to walk out the door! I said "are you going to give her an exam?" She said if you want that I have to go get help-why am I paying $59 for an exam-you never touched my dog! WTH?!?!

Finally came back with a tech and still no treats, asked me if I have trazadone for exams-NO I WONT DRUG MY DOG FOR EXAMS JUST CAUSE YOU CANT TAKE 2 minutes to get to know her! She listened to her heart and said her stomach was fine-ok that's it! Tech will be back in with your meds! An extra $63 but we don't have them all, so pay for all today and come pick the rest up next week. Hmmm, no thank you. I'll find them somewhere else, or pay at pick up.

I will say the 1st time I went, I saw Dr Karin was great at getting to know my dog! No problems at all. After today my confidence in Priority help has been completely LOST! Don't get me started on the paperwork that got messed up for my other dog.

We discovered Dr Burns and staff a few years back and have been extremely happy with the care they provide for our dogs. They are very accommodating and find a way to get ours in every time we have an emergency. Highly recommend this excellent team.

I have been with Dr Burns for 11 years now. She is an excellent vet. Knowledgeable, kind, compassionate and very, very responsive. She thoroughly explains everything. I trust her completely with my animals. Her staff is top notch. I would not consider taking my pets anywhere else.

Incredibly unprofessional! Honestly, they act like elementary kids who can't handle feedback! I would NEVER take my pet here regardless of the urgency! Beware!

I called up 10(!) different places to schedule my puppy's 1st vet's appointment; these guys were able to fit me in with a much shorter notice than all the other places who quoted 3-4 weeks wait for a routine check up. Thank you, very grateful for that! Our first visit with my puppy was very pleasant, the staff is very kind and helpful and our vet took her time to explain everything and answer all my questions. I'm so glad we found such a great place with my pup! Highly recommend!

I can not say enough wonderful things about this place! Dr. Burns is phenomenal! I have been looking for months for a new good vet in Gilbert where I moved to as my current vet is in Scottsdale and one that will allow in person visits. I found this gem and I am now making it my primary vet! I am a over protective dog Dad and came in with a list of concerns. Dr. Burns went through each and every concern I had one by one making sure she answered every one of them!

Not to mention as she did this not once did I feel rushed! You can tell Dr. Burns truly cares about your pet and is so intelligent in her treatment plans! That is so rare to find! Her assistant Rebecca was also so friendly and thorough with her notes! Well done! Thank you for making me a very happy client and one that feels so grateful for finding my black Lab Mason a place that I know I will be in good hands with!

Mizz Kitty had her teeth cleaned and they took such great care of her. She loves seeing the girls. They are very affectionate to her and she loves that. She has renal insufficiency and they gave us food to try to see if she liked it before I bought any. The wait time is minimal. Sometimes I don't even sit down and they are there to take us back. They get her in the same day when she is sick. We love and appreciate all of them

I never thought I would randomly think to myself "how great is our vet?!" But that's what Priority has done for me. Everyone is so kind and will take time to answer your questions. If an urgent matter comes up, they get you in quickly. They make it seem like your pets are some of their best friends and they truly want to see them doing their best. I can tell my dogs feel the same way with how happy they are each time we visit!

So reliable, clean and friendly! We take our three girls to see Dr. Burns is the best. She takes the time to listen to our concerns, answer our questions and follows up! We have two Dobermans and a Pit mix, the staff loves them and gives them so much love. We got the girls spayed here too and couldn't have been happier with the service. Strongly recommend!

Dr. Burns is phenomenal! She really knows her stuff and is very engaging. the late Wednesday appointments really help my fur family ensure they can see her!

Caring, Patient and Thorough! Our Frenchie has high anxiety when we go to the Vet, and this is the first place where I felt they understood and took time to ensure he was comfortable. Each member of the team and Dr. Michael was very professional and made sure I understood his care plan (and the cost of our visit). I was very impressed, and happy with our visit. Also, I know many worry about cost, and I felt they were reasonably priced.

Never been to a vet with such caring staff. They went out of their way to make my anxious pup as calm as possible (which is no small task). They also listened to all my concerns and kept me involved through the entire visit. After prescribing my dog some new medication they even called to check in to ensure the meds were working okay. Was scared to try a new vet but they are definitely replacing my previous primary vet

Priority Pet Hospital is clean and follows Covid guidelines. Receptionist was friendly. The vet assistant in the room was very nice answering all my questions. Didn't feel rushed at all. The veterinarian took time with our Shih Tsu puppy and examined him thoroughly. The overall ambience was welcoming. I loved our experience.

We rescued a puppy that we knew almost nothing about. We were able to schedule an appointment right away. Everyone was super nice, friendly and very welcoming. Fantastic experience all around. Thank you to the whole staff.

I took my puppy to Priority for a checkup and vaccines and they were so sweet to her. She's not very good with other animals and when she'd bark, they were very understanding. She's very bad with ppl touching her mouth but they were patient and very good about handling her! I really liked my experience here and will be back!

Yes - my service animal is a pit bull. Dr. Burns didn't even bat an eye! She is so knowledgeable, takes the time to answer questions thoroughly and makes every effort to make the other half of your team (or pet if you aren't a handler) comfortable without sacrificing quality care. It's difficult (IMO) to find a vet I connect with - and therefore I trust my pup with. Let's talk about tech's and office.

Every tech I've spoken with or interacted with has been compassionate, kind, and genuine. They allow me to assist in order to help round out my pups training for future visits. I've spoken with Devan several times on the phone for various appointments; I am constantly juggling the moving parts of my life. Devan is patient with my changing needs. Confidence, leadership and valued team members. Whoever is managing this practice seems to have the right formula!

They've been taking care of Waffles since he was a little tator tot. They're always so caring and available to answer all our questions. Waffles gets so pumped every time he gets to visit them. Their customer service is amazing
