Dr. Powell is the worst medical practitioner I have ever met. She misdiagnosed my boxer for 2 months. Her only agenda was prescribing medications that cost a fortune, that didn't work, and most importantly giving us inaccurate medication storage instructions. Only prolonging the agony my poor dog was in. Some of the medications should not have been prescribed for corneal ulcers. Antibiotics she had us administer for 2 months were totally unnecessary.

I was only educated to all this after going to get a second opinion with another Ophthalmologist who informed us of all this after taking my boxer there. My poor dogs ulcer had ruptured. When I raised concerns with Dr. Powell and sent in photos. I was told all this was normal. Also be cautious she takes your pet to a back room for her exam and you never really know what goes on back there. Please do not take your pets to this butcher! We are now pursuing legal action as no Pet should have to go through this.

The must not have children cuz she was extremely rude and short with me about my son who was 1 at the time. There were no other customers in the lobby and my son just walked around the lobby exploring and she had a major problem with him simply being a kid. It wasn't like he was touching stuff or making a mess. He was just walking around. The receptionist was kind enough to give him some paper and a pen to draw on and the doctor still had an attitude with his presence. It took everything in me not to snap at her. You couldn't pay me to go back here. I'd give it no stars if I could

If you value your pet and your purse, find another solution. This doctor has no idea what she is doing and is after money. She does not treat cherry eye in dogs and is no good at diagnosing the simplest of ailments. If something isn't going correctly, she blames your pet. Always puts the blame on you. Go somewhere else. Read ALL of her reviews, not just the ones you can skim on Google. You have been warned. I learned the hard way.

Dr. Powell and her staff are the best and we love taking our blind chihuahua to her eye clinic. They are also extremely precautious about COVID and make you feel more at ease than most places. It also helps that Dr. Powell has her boxer up there with her bc she is absolutely adorable

Super friendly professional staff and doctor. The office needs a facelift but don't let the facade and faded mauve blinds lead you to believe that your pet won't get the royal treatment! Great experience!

Had to wait but worth it. Dr. Gail Powell-Johnson gave my dog a thorough eye exam and found the reason my dog's eyes were weeping so much fluid. No surgery needed and I was told what to do for her and given some eye drops that seem to be helping. I was very impressed with the whole experience and staff. Highly recommend!

Dr Powell is THE BEST. I've been bringing my sweet cat Penny here for several years due to tear duct and cornea damage as a kitten, and feel safe knowing that she's under great supervision. Dr Powell is so knowledgeable and kind, her staff is always friendly and I feel that Penny's recovery and maintenance is due to the great team at Atlanta Veterinary Eye Clinic

Dr Gail Powell is a true gem and has helped our Teddy with her experience and knowledge about medicine, expectations, and thorough regime. She is helping us learn to navigate through the eye issues Teddy has and make him as comfortable as possible. His quality of life has improved by us following the protocol and suggestions she has made.

I found my cat in the middle of the road, in the middle of the night 7 years ago. Blind from birth, Dr. Gail has shepherded my cat and even me, as his guardian, throughout the last 7 seven years. Dr. Gail recommended new therapies that have been highly successful instead of continuing status quo options that have been key in improving my fur babe's quality of life, for which I will be forever grateful.

Cost - Perfectly normal. Our once a year visits are more affordable than a standard, annual vet check up. Availability - Great. Saturday appointments are a life saver. Staff - also great and easy to work with when re-ordering medicine and working with my often hectic schedule.

Dr. Powell was so wonderful! We were actually caught in traffic and running late. She actually stayed 30 minutes late to exam our cat! We did not feel like she rushed, but instead took the time to walk us through the procedures and her diagnoses. Her staff was also very nice and accommodating even though we showed up late. Just a great experience. Would highly recommend going here.
