I've been going here for 20+ years. Unfortunately, they hired some front desk help that was anything but! This "person", receptionist, (God forbid Vet Tech!) whatever was outright RUDE. My 8mo. old PUPPY, had a lump on her side. Period, nothing else wrong with her, normal in ever other respect, which I tried to convey, only to be talked over and told " IF IT WAS MY DOG, I'D TAKE "IT" TO THE ER" Then to top if off, I was called an hour before my appointment and told the power was out and she (same gem) would call me the next day to re-schedule, nothing Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Monday, I called another vet. Sorry guys, this kind of shit's not acceptable.

My wife and I have been going to this establishment since 1992. It is not convenient for us due to location however the reason for our loyalty is Dr. Carron. He has been taking care of our animals with compassion, honesty, and understanding. Tonight we made the inconvenient trip with our two cats on a simple wellness set appointment. Our cats have extreme anxiety and stressful reactions in our vehicles.

We waiting for close to an hour which wasn't the issue. The issue was seeing three different vehicles getting taken care of as they showed up after our set appointment. I get COVID, emergencies, and picking up medications during the waiting period all come into play. When I finally got our of my car to ask are we getting service soon the person responded "what are your pet names!" The response was not polite and when I gave her the names she didn't respond back.

We are really disappointed in the front office service. If it wasn't for me getting out of my car asking for service we may still be there waiting in our vehicle with constant crying cats. Next time give your customers some communication especially since we called to check the main line went into voice mail since it was after office hours. We will not be going back! We will miss you Dr. Carron!

Plaza Veterinary Hospital is an oasis of kindness and excellence in a world where both are in short supply. They are thorough and helpful and clearly love their animal clients. This is a good practice and if you're seeking care for your animal this is the place to go.

Have gone to Plaza Vet for over 10 years. Have never had a bad experience taking care of my 2 dogs and 1 cat. The techs are excellent. Last time I took cat he got upset in carrier and made a mess. Tech said no problem, and took carrier, cleaned it and provided a new clean towel in the bottom. Dr's Ast and Carron seem to really care about your pet.

They also both seem to have the experience and knowledge to help with the health of your pet. If there is a procedure they feel is appropriate for treatment of your pet they are upfront about what the cost will be before doing so you do not get a surprise. Last time with cat they were actually significantly under the estimate. They seem to only prescribe treatment that is necessary for the health of your pet.

No pushing of other stuff. In case you have not figured it out yet, I really like this place. Lots of vets closer to me. It is a 1/2 hour drive and could go to one that is 2 minutes away, but I have always had good results here. The 2 minute away I have had mixed results.

Had my dog, Pepper, get her nails cut down. They did an awesome job! She is hard to trim due to her black nails & wick. She is also very touchy about her paws. Thrilled with the results of her trim!

Dr. Ast and Dr. Carron have taken excellent care of both my Golden's - about 15 years worth of care in total. Honestly, I don't have a preference which doctor I see as both are wonderful! They are compassionate, caring, don't push services and treatments that aren't totally necessary and are very upfront about costs of services if they might be expensive. All the Tech's are great too! Very knowledgeable, helpful and true animal lovers! I highly recommend Plaza Veterinary Hospital!

We have had a great experience with Plaza Veterinary. Dr. Ast has been taking care of our dog for years, and he is always very thorough and takes the time to explain everything and answer questions. I have always appreciated that he always spends a good amount of time with us, never rushed, and has been available to talk us through things even when we've called from out of town.

We adopted a dog who doesn't really like going to the vet. Even with his "issues, " everyone at Plaza has always been great with George and we appreciate their patience every single time that we bring him in.

This is the best vet I have ever been to by far. I moved far away (over an hour) and tried to find a new vet. No one compares and I still take the drive to go back to them. You can tell everyone there genuinely loves animals and actually cares. The vet, Dr. Carron, is so thorough, and makes sure you understand everything that is being said. He takes his time and actually cares about the animals.

They don't try and push hundreds of dollars of testing at one time, just what they think might be needed (if any), or suggest other things if necessary. I don't care how far I have to drive, I will continue going here for as long as I have pets. Thanks guys!

We have been taking our cats here for 18 years. Everyone is very caring, and Dr. Ast and Dr. Carron spend tons of time talking through problems. Our cat needs euthanasia and despite being short handed this week they are coming to my home. Both vets are well versed in feline diseases and open to my seeking advice from Facebook support groups. I am very happy to have them as part of my team.

I have been taking my pets to Plaza for nearly 40 years because I trust their knowledge and their care. The staff all know my animals by name, and make us all feel welcome. While I usually see Dr. Carron, I have also had my pets seen by both Dr. Ast and Dr. Adams. They are all three caring and compassionate doctors and, frankly, I don't understand some of the other reviews. I have, and continue, to trust all three of them with my furbabies lives.

My husband and I have been taking our two Springer Spaniels to Plaza Vet for several years and have been very happy with them. Everyone we've interacted with has been so kind to us and our doggies. The vets and vet techs truly love animals and it shows! Our dear female is in her senior years now and has been experiencing more health issues. Both Dr. Carron & Dr. Ast have spent a significant amount of time answering our long list of questions and walking us through how to care for her health at home. I'm grateful to have such competent and caring people looking after our dogs! I would highly recommend Plaza Vet!

We have been adopting shelter dogs since 2002 and have consistently worked with the vets at Plaza to keep them healthy and happy. Everyone at Plaza is very kind and helpful. The vets are very knowledgeable and take time to explain everything in detail and answer questions. I highly recommend their services.

We went to this vet twice before we found another one in the area. The first time we saw Dr. Carron, and he was good with our group (we have 3 dogs). On the second visit, we saw Dr. Tracy Adams. This was the visit that caused us to never want to come back in again. Our Shar Pei/American Bulldog mix had some swelling/fluid in her hocks. She has always had this swelling that goes up and down off and on (ever since we got her as a puppy and she is 7).

She has seen 3 different vets (due to us moving to different states) and we have mentioned it to all of them, and they have seen her when there was a flare up. None of them had any concerns regarding this swelling, and her blood work never reflected a problem. We had supplied all of the previous vets' paperwork when we initially brought them in for a meet and greet.

We took Keira in because she had 2 dark looking areas - one on her leg and a new one on her stomach. We mentioned it to Dr. Adams, and she immediately said something about the swelling. We explained it has always been like this (and we had even mentioned it to Dr. Carron on our initial meet and greet, and he wasn't concerned). She immediately wanted to do a blood screening and check her for Lyme disease.

We agreed, and after a full blood panel that came back clean and negative Lyme test, she wanted to do more tests on Keira. Dr. Adams said she didn't know what was causing the issue, and wanted to keep testing Keira until she figured it out. During our discussion with Dr. Adams, she spoke to both myself and my husband as though we were bad pet owners.

She made us both feel by the way she talked and her demeanor as though we didn't care about our dog. I thought maybe I just took it wrong, but my husband mentioned it to me when we got in the car to leave. My husband and I talked after the visit, and we decided we would be finding another vet. She called us shortly after our visit to give us the blood panel results, and we were very clear on how she spoke to us.

She did apologize and said that wasn't what she meant, but it was too late. We also explained clearly we would not turn Keira into a test subject. Turns out, we went to another vet shortly afterwards and just by sight he said the swelling is from something called Shar Pei fever, and he has seen this before (and was treating another dog with some medicine, since this dog also ran a temperature).

Since all Keira had was the fluid in her hocks, he said we could try to sprinkle turmeric on her dog food to help reduce the fluid. AND IT WORKED! And the dark spots were nothing more than skin tags that were removed when they got a dental (and tested to make sure nothing more.all clean!). I would not recommend this place to anyone!

After having bad experiences with other veterinarians, my husband and I decided to try Plaza Veterinary Hospital based on the two positive Yelp reviews posted. and Yelp did not steer me wrong! Over the course of two years, I have never had a negative experience. Their staff are kind, polite, and clearly love animals. The technicians and assistants are knowledgeable and GREAT at customer service, which can be hard to find these days.

It is reassuring to see them handle my dogs as if they were their own- my dog had to have a number of shots, and they kept him calm by talking to him and petting him the entire time. Also, the vets here are willing to take time to listen to my concerns, and answer my questions! I know that doesn't sound like that's asking too much, but after experiences in other vet offices where I felt like it was simply a financial transaction and the vet was gone before I could even utter a question, I was very happy to find that the veterinarians at Plaza take the time to discuss options, decide courses of treatment, and answer questions.

Be aware that this means that you may have to wait a few minutes for your appointment. but if that is what it takes to find a vet that is willing to take time with an overly-concerned dog owner such as myself, I will happily wait for every visit.

This is simply an outstanding vet. My dog has unfortunately a very lengthy vet history and I've been to several vets in both Texas and here. My dog was jokingly referred as "The million dollar dog" at one place, it was all in good fun. I've only met with Dr Ast but he really impressed me. During the first visit he noticed that something was wrong with one of her legs, one of the vets at a different clinic concluded she had arthritis but it turned out that Dr Ast was correct and she actually had a torn ACL. I've also taken her a bunch of times due to urinary tract infections in my dog and he's done an outstanding job in trying to get rid of it.

He always returns calls even if it ends up being after they have closed the office and is glad to answer any questions that you may have. On top of all this their prices are outstanding in IMO when you consider the value they provide to you and your pets. I've been to some other good vets in the past but they charged a LOT more. I'm very glad to have found a really outstanding vet that I trust and that I can afford to take my dog to.

Very caring and professional people working here, although, some may say somewhat expensive, but the excellant care and professionalism of these people for your pets is all worth it.
