This place has affordable prices. The only thing I don't like is the wait time. I've waited up to three hours. If you need a affordable vet and done mind the wait time then this is your place.

Dr McLemore and Dr Mark are the best. They do not dismiss any of my concerns and are very thorough. I drive 1-1/2 hours each way just to take my dogs there.

I rarely review anything but had to this time. I was a long term customer at the now closed SW location. I took my current dog for the first time to the Hwy 6 location. He is uncooperative and a handful. I advised them of the circumstances before the appointment. The receptionist, or first person I saw was very nice and helpful. Then a tech came in.

My dog growled at her. I was concerned because the tech was not friendly even though I tried to strike up a conversation. I got the impression immediately that she hated her job. I asked if she knew the circumstances and she said she knew my dog was a biter. I never said that to anyone. Before she even started ANYTHING she said I would probably have to come back because she was the only tech there!

So why did they let me waste my time? Then she approached to vaccinate. My dog growled and tried to hide under the bench. I said "If you just take a moment to make friends it will be fine." She said "I'm not putting my hand down there." He was muzzled so there was no danger, yet she let me know that she did not intend to be kind to my dog in any way.

She left to get the vet and returned to ask me when I would like to reschedule. Bottom line - this woman never intended to help me in any way. She hates her job and DEFINITELY HATES DOGS! There is no other conclusion. This one useless employee has guaranteed that I won't be back. I have never been treated so badly in all my decades of using veterinary services. Just don't go there.

Everyone was so nice! They treated our puppy with such pleasure and care, also they were very insightful on how to take care of our dog health wise and body wise would definitely recommend this place

We have been using Pet Vet at this location for years. They are professional, thorough, and knowledgeable. They are flexible with appointments, are easy to reschedule appointments, and can usually get you in same day for emergencies. They keep to their appointment times, and are fast and efficient also.

Took my dog here after here not visiting the vet for 2 years. They did a wonderful job of taking care of my dog despite my dog being very anxious to strangers. 10/10 would recommend!

Dr. Maclemore is an amazing doctor. She's seen 3 of my dogs for 17 years. She's very experienced and compassionate. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Even after I moved farther away, I still bring my dogs to Dr. Mac instead of switching to another closer to my new location.

Dr. Sloat at the Southwest Fwy location did a great job with my pup's spraying. She was back to herself in no time. All the staff were super friendly, from appointment to taking care of a billing problem. I will most definitely bring my dog back here for her needs.

They caused my dogs death! He went in for a nail trimming and came out a totally different dog. Died 19 hours later. The place is a total dump. The signage has been all torn up and hanging down since Harvey. I cannot believe I took my dog here, I should of known better but the proximity to my house made my decision. There is literally never anyone there but a few employees, hardly ever seen a customer.

The two vets are certified weirdos. A conversation with them is quite creepy. Never had a problem with the nick fellow but the little ghetto ass high school girl and the other tatted up girl have no business working an establishment with this sort of responsibility. go anywhere but here. A simple drive by will tell you that. They must be embezzling $ or something through this place because they aren't getting many customers.

Took my dog in for a deep teeth cleaning and the bill was $600. $55 for extractions, how hard was it to pull a loose tooth from a 5 lb maltese?!? teeth cleaning was $500 and blood work was another $100. this place is a rip off do not come here! And I just spent $300 on my other dog here last week!

Been bringing my pets to the Heights location for years. The vets are always pretty timely, and it's easy to get in and out usually. Not the most polished office or in anyway glitzy, but that's fine. They always listen to what I have to say and do a good job of only providing the service you need. Visited this location recently after moving to the SW end of town and was happy to discover Dr. William was there that morning. He's seen all my cats and dog several times, so it was like visiting an old friend.

Shopping center seems like it could be a little interesting at night, but there's a daycare and several shops during the day. Toss in a token mostly harmless homeless guy and you can imagine the shopping center. These guys are definitely worth a shot if you need to take your pet somewhere to be seen!

I started coming to Pet Vet on Southwest Fwy because its so conveniently close to me. I've taken my cat to be seen here. I like that they open at 7am. My cats have been seen by both Dr. Mark and Dr. Sloat, they both strike me as very professional. I once had to call Dr. Mark to get approval for an online cat prescription for worms, he gave it to me with no problem, that was a big plus for me.

When I took my cat in for her rabies shot recently the whole experience was great. Everything was done promptly, and Dr. Sloat administered the shot seamlessly, causing no pain or discomfort to my cat. I was not charged any extra fee's and the cost was very reasonable. Due to the location and my overall happiness with this Pet Vet Animal Hospital I see no reason to go somewhere else.

This place is horrible. The staff is life less and incompetent. We took my dog in of 16 years to see why he wasn't eating or drinking they diagnosed him with diabetes. They kept him for a few hours to give him IV fluids and gave us a prescription for insulin. We followed their instructions on the times to give him the shot. What they failed to mention to us was that if he still wasn't eating don't give him the shot.

By 7 am the next morning he was having back to back seizures. We later had to put him down (at a different clinic of course) later that day. This place is crap full of crap doctors if you love your pet take them someplace else.

Pet Vet on the Southwest Freeway & Bissonnet has been around for years. I know. I used to work there. Okay, so I'm a bit prejudiced. That aside, it's still a great place to take your pets. The price is right and the doctors are outstanding. I live in Willowbrook but I'll be taking my dogs back to Dr Mark and Dr Sloat. They took great care of all my dogs the first time I lived here. Now that I have moved back to Houston I will happily drive over to SW Houston to have them care for the dogs I currently own.

Pet Vet Animal Hospital DOES NOT have your pet's best interest at heart. I took my dog there because her hind legs were shaking. After a 400.00+ charge for exams and lab fees, the vet told me that they could not figure out what to do and arbitrarily decided to give her a painkiller/NSAID.Deramaxx to be specific. However, the lab test done by Pet Vet that day showed my dog had elevated liver and kidney functions. 2 major contradictions to prescribing Deramaxx ( just google it). Worst of all, the vet did this with a straight face and wanted to me to buy multiple refills as well as some prescription dog food "just to be safe". I would stay away from these people, it goes beyond caveat emptor. they see a sick dog as a way to fatten their wallets. BE CAREFUL.

This is the WORST vet I have ever been to! DO NOT take your pet to this vet or his staff. We took our cat in for a life or death issue and he never even returned our phone calls, while our cat was in his care. His staff is terrible and extremely rude. He leaves the office for hours during the day and not just at lunch and you can never get any information from him or the staff.

He charges the bill up as much as possible. I had my horse at the state of the art facililty at Texas A&M for the same amount of time I had my 8lb. cat at his office and the bill for my horse was less expensive!? This was not our only very negative experience with this vet, please do not give him any business! Your pet would recieve better care just about anywhere else!
