Dr. Tom grew up on a farm in Chokio, Minnesota. In 1989 he graduated from the University of Minnesota with his doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. Since then he has worked at the Cold Spring/St. Joseph/Paynesville Veterinary Clinic. His professional duties have always included all species of animals: large and small.

This is the best vet clinic I have ever taken my pets to. The entire staff is fantastic and the veterinarians are wonderful. Whenever I call or email with questions, the response is quick and very thorough. My kittens have had a few issues, and I've never felt like I was being a bother by asking questions. The doctors, especially Dr. Dennis, have been extremely caring and helpful. I feel like my fur babies are getting the very best care here. I could not be more pleased!

We're been clients for 11 years. We have been impressed with the friendly and helpful staff. The vets are top notch. We have had fur babies with chronic conditions - diabetes, Addison's disease and cancer - and the medical care has always been compassionate and effective. In one case our vet (Dr Dennis Bechtold) did extensive research to find a treatment for a pernicious gastro-intestinal issue.
