Cremation is a process where the pet's remains are exposed to intense heat. Through heat and evaporation, the remains are reduced to the body's basic elements. The cremated remains (or basic elements) are what is commonly referred to as "cremains". They are odorless, sterile, weigh only a fraction of the pet's original weight, and can be safely stored indefinitely.
The death of a horse or pony is an upsetting and traumatic experience for everyone involved. When my cat passed away, I called a few crematories, but none were located in the Philadelphia area. That is when I found Paws To Heaven Pet Crematory. The staff at Paws to Heaven is caring and kind. My pet's cremains we delivered to my house in a beautiful box with a certificate. Thank you for taking care of my baby. It was a relief to have the his cremains delivered to my house, going back to the animal hospital that soon would've been too painful. Thank you for your kindness and compassion.

Thank you guys so much for making the passing of my sister family pet rabbit special. When I first called on a Sunday they answered the phone and was very kind. A guy came to my home within an hour to pick up my sister rabbit that had passed. We received the ashes back in two days. My sister rabbit meant the world to our whole family and we are all amazed with the service we received. We truly appreciate it, Thank you so much.

When I say I am in tears. My baby passed on Sunday and I was called to come get her ashes today. I knew I would be emotional because she's been apart of my family since I was 15 years old, but when I opened that box and saw this beautiful red wood box with a name plate that read "Chocolate" I cried. It was so beautiful. It literally broke me. The certificate of cremation and The Rainbow Bridge, really are beautiful touches. I'm still teary eyes. If I could post pictures I would. Keith is amazing. My baby malano passed away Thursday. Keith has been amazing with helping my family in this time. Constant communication. meet up from the vet was easy. Keith came out in a snow storm to delivery my baby back to my family after only one day. The price you cant beat, it's the cheapest I founded looking around for 2 weeks. I'm so grateful for them in the hardest time thank you!

Update 12/9: the owner reached out and investigated to see what happened. I definitely appreciate the follow up and investigation - found there was miscommunication combined with the dreaded spam folder. While nothing can be undone, I truly hope these issues brought to light some solutions and I am confident that they will make sure this doesn't happen again to another client.
Thank you Paws to Heaven for taking these concerns seriously. ------------------------------------ I am really disappointed in this business. Thanksgiving weekend I lost my sidekick and fluff unexpectedly. I was in completed shock, but was told that the only decision I needed to make was 'do I want the ashes back' (of course I said yes) and that Paws to Heaven would be reaching out to me before the cremation, which would occur after the autopsy was complete.
I wanted to talk to Paws about getting her pawprints, because I've been wanting to get a tattoo of her prints, but hadn't done the ink prints because I thought I had more time with her. By middle of last week (around Dec 1st), I still hadn't heard anything from them. I tried calling, and then sent an email through their "contact us" link to ask if it wasn't too late to get her paw prints done.
Today (Dec 8, 2021), I received her ashes in the mail. No pawprints. No communication. Date of cremation noted as Dec 3, 2021. I am hurt, sad, angry, and frustrated. I will never have another chance to get her prints, and the lack of communication with them is completely unacceptable. I still haven't heard anything from them. Grieving pet parents - beware.

WE at the Forked River Animal Hospital have used Paws to Heaven for many years and have always had the best of service and compassion fro Paws. They are caring and professional, have always addressed any problems with out customers and if you are looking to have your pet privately cremated this is where you should take your fur baby. They take care and pride in what they do and your pet is returned to you in a beautiful mahogany box with a name plate.

Amazing people here! I was a total mess walking in to have my dog cremated after passing and they were so very kind to us.. they understood and let me sob like a baby and still had compassion and patience to sit and listen and explain things to us .... they had him ready after only 48 hours and the urn is beautiful! Thank you so much for everything, I was very happy with how beautiful everything was!

TERRIBLE!! Our family member is gone and we will never have him or his paw print again! Our golden retriever/yellow lab, Taeo 16yrs, was entrusted to these people to get a simple paw impression. When I picked up our box from the AWA, our feelings were excited but sad then they turned to complete shock. Our paw print was that of a chihuahua certainly NOT a retriever's paw.
Our cat's paw is bigger than what we received. I called to inform them of the mistake and maybe there was someone out there with a retriever's print. But we have not received any correspondence from "Joe" (in charge) nor the female that answers the phones. DIY!

This is the second time i have had to use the services of Paws to Heaven through Eastern Shore Veterinary Hospital. The presentation of the cremains in a linen cloth and the stylish wood box with the name engraved on a plate were very classy and comforting. Well worth it to have Honey home and not simply "gone".

What a beautiful tribute! They sure gave her and I the royal treatment. I have the remains of Riley and AJ has the Remains of Sheeba and all I can say is I was expecting the same. They were all a wonderful tribute but this out did them by far. Went as far as to engrave her given name. Wow!! I am not sorry I spent the extra money to take her to the Animal Emergency Hospital and Paws to Heaven pet Crematory..
They were nothing but respectful and kind. I dont want anyone to have to but should you need to I recommend them if you cant get to your vet like we couldn't. Well worth the money.

UPDATE 2020: I do not recommend them (anymore)! Our last 2 encounters (last July and this June) with our last 2 dogs was much different than our first. I was incredibly disappointed with their customer service person (both calls answered by a woman in the office). They lacked any compassion for the loss of our boys (both in 2019 when we cremated our MinPin, & recently when our Fox Hound passed) and were 100% unhelpful with any questions we had.
I'd recommend going elsewhere (as we did with our last dog). This company has obviously been in the death business long enough that they've become desensitized to the harsh impact of losing a beloved four legged family member. We lost Shady last week. We selected Paws To Heaven after talking through our options with Dr. Dykstra at Eastern Shore Veterinary Hospital.
He spoke so highly about the integrity of your process, your professionalism and care. We received Shady's ashes back today and were so touched by the evident care and thought that was put into everything. I was especially touched by the Rainbow Bridge message & certificate of cremation. The Hanover picture box with Shady's ashes is beautiful and Shady's casted paw print in the framed shadow box warms my heart every time I look at it. Losing a loved one is always hard but it helped tremendously in lifting our burden by knowing that Shady was in trustworthy & compassionate hands. Thank you so much for your wonderful work!
