Horrible vet, maimed my dog to try to generate income from a surgical procedure. I took my dog afterwards to a veterinarian hospital where her injury from parkway was found to be beyond repair.

I just read a review from a few months ago where the reviewer commented on declining quality of care and customer service. The reviewer felt the decline occurred after Dr. Tanner purchased the practice, upon Dr. Wraith's retirement. Dr. Tanner did not purchase the practice. It is no longer privately owned. I, too, have seen a drastic decline, and I have found another vet clinic. I just want to set the record straight.

Currently sitting in my car waiting for my dog's appointment to be wrapped up inside, and just wanted to write a review about how pleased I am! I had a horrible experience with a different vet a few days ago and ended up leaving the office mid-visit so I decided to bring my dog to Parkway today to be seen. The doctor (blanking on her name, sorry!) was sooooo kind, patient, and informative.

All of my questions were answered, and I didn't feel like I was being pushed to buy unnecessary medications or preventatives (as some vets do). Unfortunately, I live in the LA area so I can't use Parkway as my primary vet, but whenever I'm in Dublin visiting my parents. if I need vet services, I'll be back!

I got an email asking me to review this vet since I took my dog there. Overall it was easy to make an appt. I will say it's getting frustrating that vets are still doing curbside. If kids can be maskless in school then there's no reason that we can't have in-person (masked) visits. It's hard to know what exactly is going on when your pet is having an exam when you're not there. Is the doctor truly seeing them?

Or is a vet tech doing an exam & the doctor is signing off on that? A lot of trust is expected of us from a doctor we've never even met face to face. I get that in the height of covid that was necessary. But that's not where we are anymore. I have no issue w/limiting the # of people who are in the room w/a pet. I have absolutely no problem w/being masked regardless of vaccination status.

I encourage it. But being curbside when every other industry is back to normal seems ridiculous. It feels more like a way to keep us out vs covid precautions. I only had one visit. It was fine. I appreciate being able to book an appt easily.

One of the vets who works here just wants to make money. gave my dog multiple medications and didn't check her feces. She would rather over medicate my dog for extra cash than do her due diligence. Like other reviews mention, GET A SECOND OPINION. Don't recommend going here.

I highly recommend Parkway Veterinary Hospital! I am new a client and brought my Getman Shepherd there. Mara is very frightened to go to the Vet but because of the great staff and Veterinarians at Parkway she did great. They were really patient with her and were calm and gentle. Mara was not stressed and left the appointment calm. All of our questions were addressed and the The Doctor gave us a wealth of information for her future wellness.

I really felt like it was a partnership with my dog's best interest at heart. From the first phone call through our first visit every employee we came in contact with was friendly, knowledgeable, caring and professional! Such a relief to know my dog will have excellent care going forward.

The staff and the doctor was very professional, kind and respectful. They addressed all my concerns and answered all questions and took notes. They treated my dog Uno kindly and gently. I can not talk about the facility inside since we are not permitted to get in and there is only a curbside service. I will recommend this place for your dear furry family members!

I've been going to Parkway for the better part of 20 yrs for various kids. They're still in the "pick up in the parking lot" mode. Call in when you get there and they come and get him. We were on time and they were on time and we were done in 30 minutes. Got a call from the vet outlining the results and then they took payment. All in all, it worked out fine. And at least I can listen to the radio while I'm waiting.

I started with this vet practice in the 80-90's way before Dr. Tanner joined the practice. After she joined, she treated all of my pets at various times when my other vet (Dr. Wraith) was not available. Every time I had to go in to see her, I shuddered to know that I had to work with her condescending attitude. She is a real pistol as she is quite the know-it-all and extremely arrogant.

If there are other vets available in that office, my recommendation is that you schedule with them instead. Before Dr. Wraith retired, it was a wonderful experience, but after he sold the practice to Demi Tanner, the whole practice just became unresponsive, uncaring, and representative of her cold demeanor. Be prepared because you will experience this if she treats your pets.it is just her DNA.

Dr. Chan is very knowledgeable, nice and very patient. She explained all the details of our dog's surgery and took us through all the steps and procedures. She definitely inspires trust and reliability.

As much as I used to LOVE this place, I do want to recommend you get a second opinion if you're a new pet owner. I rescued my pup in 2018 and have been bringing him here since. Hes always had these benign masses and we were told by his vet that they were benign and not some thing to worry about. Even during one of his teeth cleanings the idea of removing them came up but we collectively decided it was alright to keep them bc as we were told, they were benign.

This past Friday one of the tail masses popped and as a result they're recommending we chop off his tail. Had we known this was even a remote possibility, we would have scheduled a removal ASAP. they're nice doctors and staff, but make sure to get a second opinion.

We have been with another vet for 20 years. They could not see us within a week period and if the could it would be an emergency. I tried Parkway nervously. THEY WERE AMAZING! I have a small high strung dog. THEY WERE SO GOOD WITH HER! And me! THANK YOU for taking such good care of us! So grateful I found you!

Dr. Tanner and the entire staff at Parkway are fantastic. Thorough, communicative, professional and of course they love animals. Dr. Tanner is also patient, analytical and a good problem solver. I've taken my dog to Parkway for years and will continue to do so! They really care about your pet's health and well being.

Overall, unimpressed with lack of customer service provided. Pandemic conditions aside, methods and practices need serious improvement and to the detriment of my dog's health. Brought my shelter rescue dog for a visit, who suffers from either spay incontinence or a urinary tract infection. The Vet and team took her in and ran tests quickly enough on a Thursday 8:30am appointment.

However this is when things unraveled rather quickly. Next day, Friday, I called in learning the office has a low level phone system yielding a busy signal the majority of the time. Finally getting through, receptionist says they received the urine test result and I'd get a call back from the doctor that day. No call comes AT ALL. Saturday I called in and learned they are closed.

Fast forward to Monday, receive my call from the doctor confirming a medium level UTI requiring stronger antibiotics. Knowing AND processing this information on Friday would have been more advantageous to the dog's health. Letting 3 days lapse with a known cure is unacceptable to me. I mean, we visited for this ultimate purpose. Back to the busy signals.

I arrive at the facility and received about 30 minutes of busy tone. I ask a passing technician for help in the parking lot. They offer no hello, just say you need to keep trying the phone to reach us and keep walking. Finally I got through learning I'd buy some medication. When I ask for instructions, tech says the instructions are on the bottle. Arriving home, I examined the bottle and learned there is a miscount of doses, short of the prescribed number.

More busy signals when I called back. Also, I had to inquire do I give the medication dose all in one feeding or split up the dose through out the day since you say it could cause nausea and vomiting. I was instructed all at once like I should have known. Perhaps I -should- have googled this instead of asking the vet that I paid. Sorry for the long rant, but from a communications and medical position this is not a place I will be returning to for help.

I've had 6 dogs my whole life ( so far) and Dr Tanner is the best veterinarian I've ever had. She always ensures my dogs are getting the best care possible while also explaining everything to me in a way that I can understand. I cannot recommend her enough.

The staff at Parkway Vet Hospital are wonderful, empathetic, caring and professional. Dr. Tanner always takes the time to discuss details related to all my pets and their health, suggest things to improve conditions, keeps an eye out for potentially developing problems and always treats us with kindness and compassion. Thank you, Parkway Vet!

Came for an appointment for my dog and found their front doors locked. It's July 28th 2021 and they are still not open for in-person appointments "because covid"! How ridiculous is that? Get vaccinated or wear masks, but open up! I refuse to do the whole "hand over your dog at the parking lot and talk to the vet over the phone" dance - there is no reason to do it like that anymore. Will not come back until they return to normal procedure.

Dr. Tanner is the best! She took excellent care of my cat after my cat's spay. One day my cat accidentally shook off the cone around her neck and licked the wound open; Dr. Tanner asked me to take my cat to visit her even though she was actually off the duties on that day. I really appreciate her effort. Thank you! Dr. Tanner.

Last time we took our pup there they didn't have a problem coming out to the car to draw blood and cut our dogs nails. We took him there to check if he had a foxtail in his paw and had to medicate him beforehand. The doctor acted in a manner that would make any dog react, when she touched him he flinched so she threw her arms in the air and refused to check his paw or trim his nails.

I am disgusted with the service and attitudes of the doctor and the assistant. They care more about money than your animal, I know this from past experiences. Avoid if you want quality care for your animal.

EMAIL ON 05/30/20 WISHING OUR CAT FRITTY A HAPPY BIRTHDAY! First of all you haven't been my vet since the last time I took Fritty to Parkway on March 25, 2019!.he was always caringly seen by Dr. Wraith. When Dr. Wraith cut his scheduled hours back, our loving cat Fritty had the unfortunate experience of being seen by Dr. Demi Tanner. She is one of the worst, uncaring, unprofessional vets I have encountered in years!.I left that day never to return to Parkway with either Fritty or any of the several cats and dog that we are so lucky to be blessed with. Fritty had a long and happy over 20 year life under our care. Dr. Wraith understood his medical condition and prognosis.for that I am eternally grateful!.Fritty has passed on and with that, I have no intention of ever setting foot inside the Parkway facility for any reason.please remove me from your system and do not send me any more future meaningless emails. I have found a much more caring veterinary hospital for our animal's medical needs. Richard Geiger

We have been coming here for years but I want to take a moment and give some kudos to our appointment this am. Our sheltie got an ear infection so I went online and made my appointment this am and got a confirmation within minutes. We got there and followed the Covid 19 protocol I called and they came out and got our dog seamlessly. Dr Chan was great she called me to provide me on her diagnosis and treatment and was friendly and thorough.

Next thing I know my dog was dropped off in the car and ready to go. I have been pleased with the service we have received here through the years from the front desk team, the vet technicians, to Dr Charles, then when he left Dr Tanner and now with Dr Chan. Getting a team on a new process takes time and patience on all ends and this was a smooth process so THANK YOU!

I made an appointment due to the Covid-19 situation, they advised that when you get to the parking lot they would come out and get your pet. I arrived to my appt 10 mins before my appt and called to let them know I am outside in their parking lot - no one answered the phone. I waited an additional 10'minutes after my appt no one came out - I called again and finally got someone on the phone and let them know what happened and they could care less, no apology, nothing.

I left the parking lot and gave up on this place. My family has been going here for years and although they could be a good vet, the trouble you have to go through to get to the vet is not worth it and unprofessional. I made an. Appt for another vet the same day and I won't be returning due to this experience.

We've been here several times now with our cat, and we've been very happy with all our visits! The first time, our cat had been suffering from a problem that a previous vet had diagnosed as a bacterial infection, with very little improvement for several months. We were very pleasantly surprised when the vet we saw here was able to narrow down the cause and administer a very quick and effective treatment in a single visit.

Subsequent visits have also been pleasant, efficient, and reasonably priced. Looking for a new vet was a very stressful experience, and I'm extremely glad that we chose Parkway.

I just starting using this vet over the past year and they seem to do a good job overall. The only issue I have is they never seem to accommodate same day appointments. Not sure why they have an issue about this but I've never had any luck with it. I called as soon as they opened today and the Lady didn't even hesitate and said they are fully booked, she could have at least acted like she was looking over the schedule to try and fit me in.

Maybe they just don't handle emergency type calls. My past vets have always made availability, so does my dentist for same day emergencies, lol. Typically businesses like this will give some cushion in their schedules to meet customer demands and be able to schedule these same day appointments.

My experience with Parkway Vet goes back some 20 years with our Chocolate Lab (who had knee surgery at 4 years old and was put down here at 17 years). Then our Terrier mix (with chronic ear infections). Then my girlfriend's mini Dachshund. Their care is the best. Dr. Wraith is my favorite but I have received outstanding care from all their staff.

Their receptionists truly do enjoy all the dogs and cats that come in there - always ready to hand out treats to calm our furry family. Today we took our Dachshund to them for the last time as he passed away the day before. They treated us with kindness and respect. A technician came out to the car to receive the body. We were all choked up and the technician nearly cried too.

Birth and death, the cycle of life. They see it all. When facing choices on treatments, Dr. Wraith lays out all the options, and what makes sense and reasonable costs. With some medications like flea pills, he tests on his own dogs before recommending them to his patients. I cannot recommend them more highly. When I get my next puppy, if I'm in this area, I will be going here.

They sent me a vaccine reminder through email. I made an appointment with them to do the vaccines for my dog. After I checked in, the doctor checked my dog's temperature, teeth and ears ( took her less than 2 minutes). I thought it's just regular routine before the vaccines. But when I received invoice its $114 for 2 vaccines? I was shocked, then I looked carefully, there was a $58 physical exam and consultation charge which I didn't ask for and I was not informed before they did it. $28 per vaccine is already above the average price (average is $15-20).

Now I have to pay $58 for something I didn't ask for. My dog is in a very good condition, why would I want a physical exam and consultation? All I wanted were just vaccines.

I'll be going to Parkway Veterinary for my 2 pups. When living in Dublin, we needed to find a new veterinarian for my 2-year-old shepherd and 5-month-old FMD. Both were rescues and the puppy was/is very scared of people. Dr. Bloomberg was very patient, kind, and knowledgeable with both of our dogs, but I was extremely impressed with the way she handled our shy dog.

He eventually opened up to her and let her do her exam. She even brought him to the back to meet new people and slowly get accustomed to strangers. Even though we moved back to SF, I still make the trip out to Dublin for their annual check ups.
