Oakview Veterinary Medical Center is a well-established, full-service, small animal veterinary hospital providing comprehensive medical, surgical and dental care. We provide a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures through in-house testing and the use of external laboratories. We also work closely with local practices when special diagnostic procedures are required.

At Oakview Veterinary Medical Center, we are proud to offer a comprehensive range of services to address your pet's specific veterinary needs.
On arrival, please remain in your vehicle, and call the office to let the staff know you are here as our lobby is closed. After checking in, please wait by your vehicle with your phone available until the medical staff informs you a room is ready for your pet. When a client is not in the room with their pet, communication with the veterinarian will be by phone or Airvet live-stream video.

We had a poor experience with a supposed rabbit savvy vet closer to home, and we knew we needed to find someone else, even if it meant traveling a bit further. We're so glad to have found Oakview and Dr. Martel. All of the staff are wonderful, and I can't say enough good things about Dr. Martel and Amanda (the vet tech who usually assists Dr. Martel). You can truly tell they care about the health of our rabbits and I know they're always in good hands.

Fantastic! Dr. Martel explained everything that was possibly going on with our rabbit , and was concerned with his health. Dr. Martel came back multiple times to check up on us and didn't pressure us into treatments & procedures that costed a ton on money. We followed her recommendations and was able to narrow down what might be wrong with him. Overall, positive experience, everyone was polite, professional, and amazing! Dr. Martel & her staff is top notch! Highly recommended.

We were new clients at Oakview a few days and I can't say enough good about our experience. We were scheduled an appointment in a very timely manner. The staff was absolutly AMAZING not only with my dog but also with me. Very thorough, bedside manner was impeccable, and the genuine care and compassion was such a relief. You and your pet are made to feel like family.
If I could give a 10 star rating I would. We were able to be seen on an urgent bases but now I'll be transferring all the fur kids over to Oakview for all future appointments.

Oakview and Kris Hankison came highly recommend to me for my new puppy, Taco. He exceeded all expectations of a great veterinarian experience period. Excellent repoire with my puppy who had zero anxiety or stress and didn't even notice getting two injections or a complete exam. He thoroughly answered questions and gave helpful pointers for me as well.
Most of all they somehow managed to sneak me in right away, even though I was a brand new customer, they were busy, and having just called earlier and in the day. I'll never take Taco elsewhere! Fan for life!

The oakview team is truly incredible! They are very knowledgeable and have always been so kind and courteous. I just recently got my first puppy and had a lot of of questions about how to give him the best care. He recently had parasites which freaked me out but they helped so much by getting back to me quickly and reassuring me it was going to be fine. Thank you guys so much for caring about my little guy as much as I do!

This is my favorite vet ever. My beloved dog, Wilbur, was diagnosed with lymphoma and was given a year to live by UW-Madison Veterinary Clinic. Oakview was closer to home and was able to distribute his chemotherapy for four months until he was in remission, and then they put him to sleep for us after he came out of remission six months later. Every single person here was so great and gracious with us and our situation.
They even sent us a bunch of personalized gifts in the mail once Wilbur reached remission, including a necklace with his name engraved on it, and I still have them all. When they brought his ashes out to my car window because I had a newborn baby in the car, they cried with me. I would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Hankison, who was by our side the entire journey.
I also recommended this vet to a friend, and she has switched to them, because they were so great to her. Thank you for your empathy and all you do. I don't know how you do it. See you at the rainbow bridge, Wilbur.

My small dog (6 pounds) is 14 years old. He was scheduled for a dental cleaning and inevitable extractions. We were concerned because of his age and size. (I'm an Anesthesiologist, so I know the risks). Of all the dental cleanings he has had, this was the VERY BEST. He was completely back normal the very next day and is eating kibble on Day 2. We have had two vets at Oakview and the quality of their care is excellent.
They are nice too. They are busy though, so plan in advance. Also the technical staff seem to be a cut above in training and education. They know their business. We are lucky to have such competent providers in Plover/Stevens Point.

I love Oakview Veterinary Medical Center. The people that work there are extremely kind, caring, informative, friendly, and courteous. Every time I bring my English Labs in, they take incredible care of them. They have gotten me in immediately on an emergency basis, and they have dealt with several of my older dog's skin/allergy issues. I would highly recommend Oakview to anyone who is seeking fabulous, caring, amazing people to take care of your pet. They also offer kennel services! Wilma and Walter LOVE going there!
