Thank you Dr. Jessica! Splash is much more comfortable and is able to get up on his own and walk normally! The vet techs were so good and patient with him because he doesn't like blood drawn. I'm very lucky to have been a client for over 20 years.

I was seen promptly, the prescreen was as normal, the Dr. Jess asked questions, examined Scooter and took samples and confirmed my suspicions, prescribed meds and set up a recheck. I've been a going here since the late eighties and have never once had a bad experience. They are great.

I got a cat for the first time and being my own pet. The place is welcoming. They helped me so much with him and making sure, he is healthy and comfortable. My cat likes going there and seeing them. We have been taking our beloved animals to Northern Rhode Island Animal Hospital for over 30 years! The staff is wonderful! Always kind and compassionate even while we were having to face difficult decisions and heartbreak. We will miss Dr. Logan and wish him well in his retirement!

Northern Rhode Island will always get 5 stars from me! I love all the doctors and staff here. Best group of people to care for your fur babies! Best of luck to Dr. Jeffrey Logan on his retirement!

By far the best vet ever and staff. We love Dr. Andrea she took a traumatized dog that came from a kill shelter and loved him not because she had to because she has a beautiful soul an is so calming. Olly is not shaking anymore when arriving at the vets. Thank you and your staff for always being top notch. Love the Darveau's

Critical: Quality Receptionist was horrible. Made it all about herself. Smh! She said "It's not my fault that your cat is over weight and matted", huh? I just wanted to get help for my cat who is in severe pain. She told me that this animal hospital will not accept cats. Change your advertisement then.

I have had all three of my small dogs cared for at NRIAH, this goes back to 1988. They are competent and caring. I have been well satisfied and rate them highly. I just loss my dog and they could not have been more helpful and supportive.

I've had them for my animals for about 20 years. Every person there thru the years seems intelligent, knowledgeable and loves their jobs. Unfortunately thru the years they have gotten a little pricey and when I got my cat I had to go somewhere else. But NRIAH are awesome

My dog is 12 years old. He has been going here since he was 5 months old. He was so very sick we honestly though we were gonna loose him. I called this place and relayed my concerns. Let me back up a little. My Akita was throwing up yellow bile. We thought he might have a stomach bug. As the week went on, it got so bad. I called the hospital and told them this was an emergency and this is what they told me "Bring him in next Fri and we'll see if we can fit him in." This is the way that corporate takes care of your pet now. BUYER BE WARE.

If you love your pet, seek a new place to take them. My wife called North Smithfield Animal hospital and they said, "Bring him right in" They didn't ask If we were patience, just bring him in. They will be my new vets for my two dogs from now on. You should be ashamed of your selves

I highly DO NOT recommend Northern RI Animal Hospital! In my personal opinion, please take your pet elsewhere!-- I am so dissatisfied with the service I got from Northern RI for my dog. I came in for an emergency visit on Friday 07/23/21 around 8:40pm and was there for maybe about 15-20 minutes. They misdiagnosed my dog with vestibular disease. They offered to do bloodwork and run a lab.

But they do not have a lab on site, so it would of had to get sent out for results. They said I could also do it at my vet, so I was under the assumption it was not as serious. They handed me a print out from the internet on vestibular disease, and charged me $187.48 for an exam and a shot of Benadryl. I had to go out and buy my own Benadryl to give him the following morning.

I took my dog to my vet in the morning, Banfield Pet Hospital in Bellingham, and they saw my dog and immediately said they aren't capable of handling his condition as it is appearing more serve than they are handle to care for and referred me to a 24 hour animal hospital. I then took my dog to Ocean State Veterinary Specialists and diagnosed him with having a stroke.

I am so disgusted with Northern RI Animal Hospital. I was there for maybe about 15 minutes, give or take. It did not feel like they actually cared for my dog and they also misdiagnosed him. They did not have the lab testing at their site, so even if I did do the testing, they would of had to send it out to get the results. So that would not have made a difference.

His condition presented the same as the day I went to Northern RI and as it did for Banfield, but Banfield recognized it right away. I could if possibly lost precious time, about 13 hours, for my dogs condition to get help due to Northern RI. My dog is still in the hospital today (Monday 07/26/21) from Saturday. I am so upset and enraged. This review doesn't even cover a portion or the experience I had at Northern RI Animal Hosptial.

I would NOT recommend a single person going to Northern RI. I only went there due to living close by and I wanted to take him to the closest hospital to get help. I wish I drove the extra time and took him to Ocean State to begin with. Northern RI was a horrible experience and the staff did not care when I complained to the technician over the phone that same night. I truly hope no other pet owner brings there dog there. I do not have any faith that they will take the time to properly care for your pet.

My mother and I brought our 20 year old cat in and unfortunately had to euthanize her and the staff there were very nice and caring. Other vet clinics were turning us down because it was last minute but they got us in even with their busy schedule.

I have been taking my dogs to Northern for years. The staff is absolutely wonderful and care for my girls as if they are their own. They have become like an extended family. The level of care is second to none, as the staff is professional, patient, realistic, and kind. Look no further if you are searching for a comprehensive veterinary practice!

I have been going to this vet for more then 10years! I am not sure what happened but the staff are extremely rude, unprofessional, and sigh and roll there eyes as if you are a bothering them! They don't care about your pet, all they want is your money! Dont go hear, unfortunately the front desk can ruin a business and the doctors have no clue!

We have taken all our animals ( always at least 2 dogs and a cat or two) here for over 15 years. Dr Logan is great. The staff as of late though has been substandard. The girls are sometimes rude and handle your animals like a animal control officer capturing a viscous dog. Due to COVID, you cannot go in with your pet. We were told by one girl that we need to muzzle my CAT because he tried to bite her.

My cat has never bitten anyone that I know of. He comes in contact with extended family and strangers and NEVER bit anyone. My black lab has high anxiety and does not like to go to the vet without us. When I picked him up, same girl said he was terribly misbehaved! If I receive this kind of treatment, how are my dogs being treated while waiting for the vet? I have a responsibility to protect my animals, so after 15+ years, I'm saying goodbye to Northern RI animal hospital

These folks were my vet for my 2 beloved dogs, Lola and Dunkin. Lola was getting on in years, and Dr. Jessica helped us make the decision to let Lola.go. She was there through the whole process and was so compassionate. A month and a half later, Dunkin had a mass in his stomach burst. I rushed him in and he wasn't breathing. They immediately began CPR and brought him back. 2 of their staff followed us to Ocean.

State Animal Hospital, monitoring Dunk the whole way. They got him there safely. Unfortunately, he disn't make it that night. I will never forget how they treated him and my family. Shortly after, we moved 30 miles away. They are still and always will be our vet. They are worth the 30 mile drive.

I cannot say enough about this place. All of the Doctors and Vet techs here are so caring and accommodating when it comes to both my cat and dog. I recently had my cat in for almost a week and they let me visit him everyday. The hours are great and I don't mind driving from Cranston to North Smithfield for the amazing treatment they provide. I highly recommend this hospital and wouldn't take my animals anywhere else.

Dr. Logan and his team are excellent! They are compassionate and understanding of your needs during stressful times. The time and attention to detail is amazing. I've worked with them for over 10 years and would highly recommend them to anyone in the area. They truly love and care about what they do.

Brought our cat here to be treated for an unknown problem. Doctor Logan (The owner of this joint) misdiagnosed the real problem and we had to bring her back the next day to be put to sleep. Our cat had a stroke but the doctor didn't see the signs and symptoms. Paid $400 for an emergency visit the 1st day then had to pay another $200 the next day to have her put down (13 yr old cat).

I wrote a letter to the owner asking for some sympathy and consideration. We never got a reply. They couldn't be bothered to even acknowledge our letter. They have no compassion for animals or people. Just money hungry thieves preying on you in your moment of desperation. They take advantage in any situation. Very cold people. Needless to say WE will not be returning.

Have been going to this place for many years. Love everyone here. Always pleasant whenever I call to make an appointment or to reorder medication. In person they are just as great. Many people there are unsure of German Shepherds but whenever I come in with my girl they can't wait to see her. They all wish they acted like her. She loves the attention they give her but turns into a chicken when they need to examine her.

They are so patient and gentle with her. I always recommend them when people are looking for a new vet. Even when I used them for my past dog before he passed away they were great.

I have been going to this vet for a long time. They have been thorough in their exams. They are kind and interacted well with my cat, who is terribly afraid of strangers. When I had to put down my last cat, they were very compassionate. I am often calling for refills or there to get prescription foods. They know my voice when I call or face when I pop in.

I like the personal service. I will likely be moving in a few months and I am sad that it will be too stressful for the cat to drive that far to go to the vet. I only had one negative experience the entire time--one time, my cat had a 2-inch boil on his stomach where the fur fell off. The vet's response was to measure it and measure it again in a month to see if it changed size. Their only response was"I am not sure what it is." They never worked it up or came up with a diagnosis., which annoyed me.

Stay far far away from this so called animal hospital! I brought my dog in for a limp on all her legs she was diagnosed with Lyme's disease!they didn't even take her temperature and never gave me a follow-up call to see how she was doing! all they gave me was 28 days of antibiotics and shove me out the door! I went to their office today!

I said my dog is in pain and is now limping on her legs can you do anything for her? I asked her could you please give her an anti-inflammatory for her pain? Her answer was no we can't give your dog anything unless you bring her back next week for another exam! I asked them why they never gave a follow-up call never took her temperature! Their excuse was they see too many animals diagnosed with Lyme's disease and they don't have time to follow up on the cases. this is unheard of this place should be put out of business. Do yourself a favor and drive the distance to go to a real veterinarian in a real animal hospital, this place will do nothing for you except take your money!

My 3 year old chihuahua was experiencing vomiting & not eating so I made an appt since it was a holiday and a lot of offices were closed. I had a tech named Holly. I knew my dog was very sick. Holly went & got me an estimate for $575-970 for iv, blood tests, X-rays, etc. I told Holly that I simply cannot afford this & is there some testing we can start off with so its not so expensive.

She starts to belittle me saying that I shouldn't have more dogs than I can afford and that she only has 2 dogs cuz that's all she can afford and how she is a single mother and she had a+ credit so she can have an extra credit card just for her vet bills. At this point I'm crying and feel like a piece of shit but just paid all my bills for the month & didn't have the money!

I even applied for some credit card they accept there but was only approved for a portion of the quote. I told her to just do the blood test & we'll take it from there. While in the back I could here her talking to her coworkers about me! This just made me feel more shitty. My dogs blood results came back that her kidneys and liver were failing so at this point they would refer her to a specialized hospital & she only had a 30% chance of survival.

So in the end we had her euthanized. The visit cost me $285 instead of $970 & I had the answer I needed. Not only was I so upset that my dog was being euthanized I felt like a worthless piece of shit cuz I don't have a special credit line for vet care. This was the worst experience in my life. I can't believe that someone like this works with people.

I also had my son with me who did not need to hear the things she was saying at a time like this. She had no compassion or respect for what we were going thru. I have taken another one of my dogs there in the past and was going to switch to their ofc for all my animals care but after this experience I will NEVER go there again & I will not recommend anyone who loves their pets to go there either!

We had to bring our beloved 13 year old dog, Molly, to be put down yesterday. It was a heartbreaking day for myself and my husband, but the staff at NRI Animal Hospital were simply outstanding. They took the time to explain everything, even letting us know that our sweet girl would be buried on a large plot of land in VT. I found them to be extremely comforting in my time of sorrow.

Each of them spoke soothingly to and pet Molly as they went over everything with us and prepared us. In the end, Molly passed on her own before they were able to administer the meds. We found the experience to be comforting and it made it much easier to make peace and say goodbye to our special girl. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a vet - their bedside manner is second to none. Thank you for making yesterday a little bit easier for us.

I had moved four or five towns away and didn't want to torture my cat with a 45 minute ride to the vet we used to go to and someone recommended Northern RI Animal Hospital. I set up an appointment for her yearly visit and they were very accommodating and helpful which made the transition smooth. They called my old vet to get my cat's records to figure out exactly when I needed to come in to keep her rabies vaccination up-to-date and I even received a reminder call a few days before her appointment.

They were able to take me on a Saturday morning as well which is convenient. It is set up similarly to the place I used to go, where there are multiple vets and unless you specifically request one, you get an appointment with whoever is available. So, I can't say my cat liked it. after hissing and growling and crying and being jabbed and poked at all morning, she's still in hiding.

But I thought they were very thorough, up front about prices, knowledgeable and friendly. I was very happy with the services I received there, including the prices. I will definitely be going back.
