In November 1998, Dr. Donahue and Dr. Yeatts opened the North Suffolk Animal Clinic in the Bennetts Creek area of Suffolk. In 1999, Dr. Donahue declared his retirement and Dr. Yeatts bought the practice. Today, Dr. Yeatts is joined by a team of excellent veterinarians, technicians, receptionists, and assistants. My wife and I have the pleasure to visit NSAC on a regular basis. We cannot praise enough the great staff a and Vets who labor there. They exemplify Saint Francis, Patron Saint of all creatures with their compassion. Matt Browning is fantastic! We look forward the next chapter when they grow into a new location very soon.
Thanks Matt!

Our family has received nothing but the best care here. Dr. Browning and staff are most attentive and compassionate, happily going above and beyond the norm. I actually look forward to taking my furbabies to the vet, and they don’t mind so much, either. Not only does Dr. B provide exceptional care, but he refers us to top notch providers outside his scope of services, too. I thoroughly feel as though he gives the same, if not better, care to our furbabies as his own. He is thoughtful, rational, reasonable, detailed and deeply caring. He totally gets my obsessive dog mommy moments and gives me assurances when I need them most. I am so grateful to my friends for recommending him to me. Our switch to Dr. Browning from another practice a few years ago was one of the best decisions we’ve ever made.

I took my cat Scarlet there who was just about on death's door. She suffered from chronic diarrhea. She has Feline Herpes which caused conjunctivitis in both eyes and a respiratory infection. The doctor's and staff worked to find a way to fix her. The doctor called during the week to check on her. Just when we thought the worst and were going to have to put her down, the doctor tried one more thing. This cat went from 8lbs to well over 10lbs and is no longer messing herself up or the house. She feels and looks so much better.

Super friendly staff! Extremely thorough Dr who explains everything and ensures understanding. I thought I'd never find a vet here that I liked as well as my Scooter's doc in NC that saw her for all of her 14 years, but North Suffolk is great 😁 Oh, and they have adorable decor and art there too!

The doctors and staff at North Suffolk Animal Clinic are some of the most wonderful people we have had a chance to meet. They treat all animals in their clinic with genuine compassion, skill and concern and they are equally responsive and kind toward the owners. Our family will be forever grateful for the patience, compassion and understanding they provided during an extremely sad time with our wonderful Labrador, Dexter.

From Our Website

At North Suffolk Animal Clinic, we understand the decisions and emotions you may be facing as your pet reaches his or her senior years. We treat end of life care with the utmost compassion and respect, and are here to help you in each step of the way. Coping with the impending loss of a pet is one of the hardest experiences a pet parent will face. Whether your furry friend is approaching his or her golden years or has been diagnosed with a terminal illness, we are here to help minimize any discomfort or distress.

At North Suffolk Animal Clinic, we have the capability to perform full diagnostic testing, including blood work, urine and fecal sample screenings if necessary. The goal of these tests is to identify underlying causes of disease before physical symptoms may be present. As pets age, they are at risk for chronic illnesses such as hyperthyroidism, kidney disease, cancer and other conditions. The earlier we are able to diagnose these conditions, the more we can do to keep pets healthy and active.

We offer preventive care plans to help you spread the cost of your pet's healthcare over the full year, divided into monthly payments. It's a great way to ensure your pet gets all of the medical care he/she needs, and you're able to continue this program for his/her entire life. Your pet will get all the necessary healthy pet checkups, vaccinations, blood work, and other services needed, making it easy for you to budget!

Good nutrition is essential for all pets. A healthy, balanced diet will give your young puppy or kitten a healthy head start in life and keep him active in the years to follow. In addition to our nutrition counseling services, we carry a full line of therapeutic diets for dogs and cats that address skin disease, kidney disease, heart disease, obesity, diabetes and more.

Stop in and see our great selection of retail products to serve you and your pet. With odor eliminating sprays and candles, hypoallergenic treats, treats that hide pills, and leashes and collars that include a lifetime guarantee, you are sure to find something you or your pet will enjoy! We carry a variety of products from VetriScience, including joint supplements, liver support products and products to support behavioral, gastrointestinal, and immune health. VetriScience holds the seal of quality from the National Animal Supplement Council on their packaging.

A radiograph can help in evaluating your pet by revealing information that may not be visible to our veterinarians from the outside. Radiography at our clinic is safe and painless. X-rays not only show broken bones, but can also tell us the size, shape, and position of almost any organ in the body.
