Vaccinations

There are a variety of preventable diseases which can affect our pets. Having your pet properly vaccinated is vital in protecting them from the many types of illnesses they may encounter. Vaccines are recommended based on your pets age, health and environment. We will be happy to discuss the benefits of protecting your pet with vaccinations, as well as provide you with information on the required vaccinations for your pet.

During your visit we will go over your pets diet, preventative medicine and exercise to ensure that your pet is as healthy as possible!
Yearly physical exams allow you to be able to monitor your pet’s weight. Weighing your pet yearly and discussing their diet will help ensure that your pet stays a healthy weight throughout their life. It is much easier to start a diet when a pet is a one pound overweight, instead of fifteen!

I have an elderly dachshund that is suffering from heart problems. When I brought her in she was having breathing problems and was very lethargic. Dr Evans was very kind explained my options and preceeded with the emergent care. It looked really grim but after removing some fluid and starting her on some medications she bounced back. Its been a few weeks and she still has her heart issues, but she was chasing a squirrel this week! Thank you for the added time we get to spend with Tessa.

Friendly staff, easy to make appointments and affordable pricing. I also think they have an easy check in process for when you arrive. They handled my very anxious chihuahua very well with no complaints. I appreciate that so much. After just two visits, I decided to switch my dogs over to this clinic permanently due to ease and quality of service.

We had a great experience with Dr. Evans. Our cat, James, was referred to Dr. Evans for an ultrasound. Dr. Evans reviewed our cat's entire medical history with me and then was able to perform the ultrasound and subsequent biopsy that same day. Unfortunately, the biopsy showed that James had a fairly aggressive form of cancer. Dr. Evans provided us with several treatment options and spoke with my husband and me multiple times (and after hours!) to help us make the best decision for our cat.
Eventually we reached the point where we had to put James to sleep. Dr. Evans and his staff were so kind to us during this difficult time. We would highly recommend this office!

Dr. Evans cares and that's what sets him and his practice apart. We switched over to North Oak Animal Hospital a little over a year ago and we are so happy we did! I feel as though I am valued as a customer and my pets really are his priority. I'm a nervous fur mom with a crazy schedule and they are always quick to get me in, answer my question, and resolve any issue that arises.
The one time I did have a hiccup in service with the office Dr. Evans called and apologized personally. When my pup was seen for not feeling good, he called the next day to check on her. He truly is an outstanding veterinarian. 10/10 would recommend!

I brought my dog here for a last minute eye exam when his regular vet couldn't get us in. Dr. Evans was very thorough during his exam and took his time to help my timid pup feel comfortable. You can tell he is very knowledge about his field and cares a lot about the animals. I think we have found a new veterinarian!

My little chihuahua was recently diagnosed with Addison's disease. She saw Dr. Evans for the first time this week. He took his time answering my questions and he was great with her. I appreciated how knowledgeable he is about Addison's and current research on the topic. So glad to have discovered his office!

Dr. Evans is a very down to earth and calm man. He helped us care for our senior dog with compassion and sound advice. Most recently he helped an overheated dog that was suffering in Aldi's parking lot this week. It was close to closing time and him and his staff didn't hesitate to revive this pup despite having no appointment and they were not clients. If your looking for a solid vet, check out Dr. Evans.

My experience at North Oak Animal Hospital in my first visit. 1. Grateful because they worked me when I expressed to them my worries about our sick chihuahua 2. I brought my dog here after he was attacked and left with puncture wounds. They were able to fit me in to the schedule same day despite being booked, and everyone seemed to take a genuine care for my dog's well being. Everyone is very friendly and the care plan and pricing is all very reasonable. I'll definitely be choosing them as my vet of choice and highly recommend anyone else with a dog or cat to go to them.

North Oak Animal Hospital went above and beyond in care for our dog, Zella! She is a cherished member of the family and we were so grateful that she was carefully monitored in the hands of their skilled veterinarians during a recent surgery. Our 11 year old pup, Chewy, was a new patient of Dr Evans following an unfortunate circumstance of being attacked by two other dogs. Chewy was pretty bad off. I brought him in without calling, and the staff graciously took him in and cared for him with love and respect. Unfortunately, a day later Chewy succumbed to his injuries. He was a tough old dog, whom we loved so much. We are grateful for the care he was given and guidance Dr. Evans provided us. From the bottom of the Tyler family's hearts, we thank you.

We adopted a pup (Holly) 5 days before Christmas hoping to surprise my 3 year old. 2 days after adopting Holly we discovered she had Parvo, and we had to send her to Blue Pearl's ICU for almost a whole week. The crew at North Oak Animal Clinic helped us coordinate a transfer of Holly from Blue Pearl the first Monday after Christmas, and in ~24 hours after arriving at North Oak Holly was eating and stable enough to return home.
North Oak Animal Clinic also helped us coordinate overnight, monitored care at the MU vet clinic across the street, which was super convenient and much more affordable than Blue Pearl. Although it was a few days after Christmas (better late than never), Holly eventually met our son and it was love at first sight (see hugging picture). I can't say enough great things about Dr. Evans and the staff - highly recommend!

My 12 year old dog became very ill in a short amount of time and my regular vet recommended I call North Oak Animal Hospital because he was unable to see my dog. I made an appointment and I cannot say enough about how professional and caring and empathetic everyone was at North Oak Animal Hospital. Dr Kim explained everything about my Tobeys' heart failure and was extremely patient at answering my questions and giving me all the time I needed to make a decision. When I made the decision to put him to sleep they were so caring... I just don't have the words but they will be my vets from now on.

Dr. Johnson was a good vet, but I think there were some issues with the dogs clinic that we weren't okay with. However, a young veterinarian husband and wife recently took over the practice and we've been extremely happy with them and the new clinic. They've expanded and seem to be more on top of their game. Between my parent's, my brother's, and my own two dogs, we've visited them several times in the last couple months for checkups, shots, teeth cleaning, allergies, and a sinus infection. Extremely professional, knowledgeable, and reasonable prices compared to other places. So I highly recommend them.

We had an emergency situation with our Yorkie who had surgery on Monday and started bleeding on Tuesday. We went to North Oak Animal Hospital walked in and said we had an emergency. The receptionist told Dr. Johnson and he saw our little dog immediately. He talked to our vet on the phone, told her what he was doing. He applied a compression bandage and cleaned her up the best he could.
This gave us enough time to get her to our Vet in Liberty. I think Dr. Johnson helped save her life. We are very grateful to Dr. Johnson and his staff for their excellent care and help.
