North Concho Veterinary Clinic was established in 1970 with the goal to provide complete and compassionate medicine, surgery, and preventive care to pets of all ages, while building long lasting friendships with pet owners throughout the San Angelo community. Purchased in 2005 by Dr. John E. Russell, D.V.M., this continues to be our goal. Because of Dr. Russell's caring and compassionate care for animals and his investment in education and technology, our clinic has been able to expand and grow, and provide the most up-to-date care to our patients.

I have been using North Concho for over 20 years. The care that they provide to My dogs has been outstanding and assisted me in raising dogs who live past their life expectancy. Dr. Russel and the staff have always gone above and beyond expectations and saved my silly Golden more than once. The service is affordable and quick and I've never questioned the recommendation of Dr. Russel or the staff!

My dogs will run to the door when I tell them we are going to see Dr. Russel and Lisa and they knock me out of the car to get in the door. That's the best recommendation I could give- they love them!

My little dog, Sunny, had been throwing up, not eating, and was becoming listless. Naturally, this started on Saturday evening, as things like this can happen. I phoned North Concho Veterinary Clinic at 8am sharp on Monday. They got us right in. The vet examined her and gave me a couple of options. I wanted to make sure Sunny wasn't seriously ill, so I asked for labs to be conducted.

I was told the total cost with the thorough lab work and it was very reasonable. The total price included a myriad of medications. Luckily, the lab work showed nothing serious. Sunny just had a stomach bug, like we humans can get. I can't stop singing the praises of this wonderful place. The vet is so compassionate and the ladies at the desk are the best. You don't go broke taking your pet here. I strongly advise anyone looking for a vet, come here. I am sold on it, and so is my darling!

A quick warning. GET A SECOND OPINION. A few months ago our cat's mouth was bleeding. We took him in to get looked at. They said he had some teeth that needed to be pulled. They had a dental special that month so we left him to get the bad teeth pulled and to have a cleaning. When we pick them up they told us they had pulled seven teeth. Seven teeth all at once.

If I had known I would have told them to pull the three worst ones, let them heal and then done the rest. They sent him home with a nicely swollen face. The swelling never went down, the bleeding came back. We decided to get a second opinion. It was cancer in the jaw. Most of the jaw was gone. North concho either never saw it or it happened really fast, I don't know which.

I just know our cat had to suffer through that lousy teeth pulling before we had to have him put to sleep. Can't afford an autopsy so we'll never know. What I do know is that if your pet needs any kind of major surgery or you just feel uncomfortable about the treatment they're getting, if you can afford it, GET A SECOND OPINION. No reputable vet will mind.

It may not have saved my cat but at least it wouldn't have suffered as much. I guess they're okay for shots and such, that's why two stars, but we'll never go back there again. And there's no use responding to this because I'm never going to read it.

This was my "fur baby's" first visit. She was very calm and relaxed. I was impressed by the service and attention of the ladies at the front as well as the veterinarian that saw us. We are sold on this place!

Changed Vets due to new Management and Ownership at the old vet we once used here in town. Filled out the new client forms and was briefed on pricing and services by the office manager. I am Impressed so far. Think I am going to like this vet.

The staff at North Concho Vet clinic is great. I'm new to the area and was nervous about finding a good vet. The search is over. My dog needed shot updates to board and the staff met me at my car and took my 80# fur baby inside for his visit and brought him back to the car. I didn't even have to get out. Great service during this pandemic. Thank you!

Since I got my pup North Concho Veterinary Clinic is the only vet he will ever go to. All of the employees make us feel as though we are home when I take him for his appointments and he loves them! Gets so happy to see them every time! They always answer any questions I have and take good care of my boy.

After using this vet clinic for a number of years, I stopped because of one of their employees. She is very bad at communicating with customers and she shows no compassion for animals. If I didn't know better, I would think she ran the whole place. During the last visit for me, she came into the exam room telling the girl helping me that she needed to tell me I had to pay the full bill.

I was sitting right there and she could have just directed it to me. My dog was getting shots so it was a small expense. She is very unpersonable and I believe she is some other employee's daughter. She really doesn't have any people skills and she isn't the vet so she needs to stop acting like she knows all. Running of business.
