We realize at New England Animal Medical Center that for many of our clients, the ability to pay for their pet's veterinary care and treatment can be a major concern. We offer many types of payment methods, but unfortunately, we do not offer payment plans. Currently NEAMC accepts CareCredit, a credit card accepted at over 225,000 enrolled healthcare providers across the nation, and Scratchpay, which offers a financing option that is a loan and not a credit card.If your pet requires hospitalization, NEAMC will provide you with a written treatment plan that includes itemized costs of the proposed veterinary care.
At New England Animal Medical Center, we can answer any questions you might have regarding your pet and the service you can expect to receive from our hospital. Below we have provided some frequently asked questions that may answer your own. Feel free to call us anytime for more information. Answer: The VMD, DVM, DACVIM, DACVECC are abbreviations of various veterinary degrees. The University of Pennsylvania grants a 'VMD' while all other United States Colleges of Veterinary medicine grant 'DVM' degrees.
The New England Animal Medical Center is a modern facility with over 14,000 square feet of space that has been designed to maximize our ability to care for our patients while providing our team with all of the tools, space, and technology necessary to practice high-quality veterinary medicine in a teaching and learning environment.
Here at the New England Animal Medical Center (NEAMC), we believe that we have created a good balance between professional expertise and a positive work environment. Would never ever go there again. My cat needed surgery and they needed 2k for it. I could not afford it upfront. I begged for a payment plan and they would not accept. I tried to take my cat out to go somewhere else and have her looked out. They HARASSED me for animal abuse and called my phone and my sisters boyfriend (who brought in my cat) phone multiple times a day and would not let me take my cat back. it took weeks for me to have my baby back.

My father had to call and tell them to stop harassing us. I went to somewhere that was more reasonable and she is doing perfectly fine. I understand having a pet you'll need to pay for their needs but I was 22 at the time with a not so good job. Just want to add they charged us almost 1k for my cat who was 21 and about to pass to be put down. She was having seizures and could not eat.

They just want your money. The harassment I had from them was unacceptable! My cat was perfectly healthy until a dog attacked her without me being there. I highly recommend somewhere else.

We recently lost our dog Max to a horrible series of events. Every person we spoke to had nothing but compassion and kindness as they guided us through the terrible decision to put him down. The loss of our family dog hurts, but I couldn't be more grateful for how we were treated during those final moments. The staff there clearly love animals and I didn't for a moment doubt our choice to bring him there. Thank you.

I had a wonderful experience here this week. My dog ate something he wasn't supposed to. After not eating and not even able to keep water down for 36 hours we called at 10pm Wednesday night. They called me within 15-20 minutes to let me know that he had been seen and the treatment plan. He ended up staying overnight and I picked him up the next afternoon.

The 2 doctors I spoke with, receptionists and nursing staff were all amazing. Transparent about the cost and what would need to be done. Not pushy at all about what they think would be best. Open to my opinion which isn't always the case at some places. I will absolutely return here the next time I need emergency medical treatment for my pets and I recommend others check out this facility as well!

My mom's cat is suffering in many ways and needs to be put down so that she may have her last moments be in dignity and respect and so that she doesn't suffer any longer. This hospital is 24 hours, yet we are turned away despite being the only car in the parking lot. This hospital has botched an emergency C-Section on my mother's cat and she has not been the same since.

We went here as we were desperate to end her suffering and they turned us down. Convenient they can botch her surgery but not help her when she is suffering as a direct result of their negligence. Why offer 24 hour services at this point in time? It makes zero sense. I understand it's a pandemic and you might be short staffed but maybe offer a disclaimer or change your hours of operation because you are NOT offering 24 hour emergency care as you claim. Taunton Cat Hospital will be squeezing her in despite being fully booked.

Definitely call local and call another veterinary service that cares about the suffering of your pets. This is one of several complaints about this place that her local cat hospital has heard of. Apparently this place gets complained about around the clock and is notorious for mishandling animals.

As a resident of this area I know the options are limited in terms of emergency animal care, but I would highly recommend reaching out to other places before using NEAMC as an option. I brought my cat here when I found her in dire state after coming home from work. I completely understand that they have a large amount of patients so the communication and wait times are extremely lengthy.

I don't put any blame on the staff working here, but encourage the management to assess the current setup. My senior cat spent five hours at their facility, while waiting for diagnostic results. At the point in which I got a phone call back with the results, I felt uncomfortable leaving her there any longer then she already was. I could hear dogs barking and lots of noise which I know would be extremely anxiety inducing for her as a senior cat.

I felt even more confident in my decision to bring her home, as she was returned to me, covered in her own urine. The next day her health was rapidly declining, so we called to ask for medical advice on the medication she was given. We were told that we would get a call back. By the time they called back, my sweet girl has already passed. They didn't even leave a voicemail. I am very disappointed that she spent her final day here.

When our rescue got sick we headed to another animal hospital, 5 minutes prior to us arriving they called and said they couldn't take him unless we wanted to wait hours. I called my vet back and they recommended NEAMC. I called them as I headed that way and they did the intake right over the phone. Within 20 min of them taking Tater in Dr. McNerney had already run tests and had some answers where I still would have been sitting in a waiting room at the other hospital. Sadly we had to make the most difficult decision to let him go but the staff there was amazing. We are grateful for the compassion they had for Tater and cannot thank them enough for all they did to try to save our sweet boy.

This whole place belongs in the portajons they have outside. I brought my 9 month old puppy in at 1:20 because he had torn his nails on his paw trying to run away from a scary truck. Was told it would be 2-3 hours. After three I called for an update and was told the Dr would call me back shortly. After another hour I called again and was told the same. An hour and a half later I called again and threatened to call the police to finally be connected with the doctor and find out if he was ok. Would never use again.

Horrible and if I could give them no stars I would took my dog with a gash in her neck to get it cleaned or anything they had her for hours I sat outside waiting after 4 hours I called them cause I have my 1 year old with me they told me I should have left and the nurse made a mistake not telling me they also said my dog hasn't been seen yet so I leave and go home to feed my son and they call me to go get my dog the second I get home saying they can't do anything today.

They gave her antibiotics and didn't clean the wound nothing just gave her back full of blood. They also decided to charge me 145 dollars for bringing her there even though they did nothing. Plus 18 for the antibiotics they gave her. They should be shut down. After going back for her and paying they take 30 minutes to bring her out i had to ask what was going on to a nurse taking boxes to the dumpster she said a dog is coding in the back so it may be a little. Horrifying experience. The photo is after they gave her back to me

These two photos are only two weeks apart. New England Animal Medical Center saved our girl's life on a 10 minute notice. When we called originally we were told that this place was too full to accept new patients, but when we explained the severity of the situation we were accommodated. Three staff met us with a stretcher and pressure was applied to the bleeding area.

We knew we had come to the right place. Everyone was so kind and helpful. I know that our dog was well taken care of when she was in their care. I will never stop recommending this place. -Travis, Michael, &Luna

Honestly I was terrified bringing my dog here after seeing a lot of the reviews, and of course I only saw them after I dropped my dog off, but I was pleasantly surprised. The staff were great and I never waited more than an hour or two for an update. They were fast, but they took good care of my pal. Also as I'm sure many of us pet parents know going to the vet is very expensive, but here they told me that if I had to bring my dog back within 72 hours of the initial visit the exam fee was covered!

That saved me a chunk of change when I had to bring my dog back a few days later (also please note that while I did have to bring my dog back it had nothing to do with the quality of care he got). If my pal Benji is ever sick again this is definitely where we will go!
