The Neighborhood Veterinarian animal hospital is the heart and soul of the solo practitioner, Dr. Sue Bartz. After feeling much disappointment while working in the corporate world, Dr. Sue began making plans to build a hospital based on professional service and personal care. It took well over a year of hard work and dedication to build an animal hospital worthy of such merit. Though the clientele was small, Dr. Sue and staff made sure each and every client felt secure with their services. Over the years this philosophy has not changed.

Sue as she is more affectionately known by friends and clients alike, knew by the third grade that all she wanted to be when she grew up was a veterinarian. Now, some 50+ years later, she admits she still loves what she does for a living and cannot imagine doing anything else! Born and raised in the heart of America's Dairyland in Green Bay, Wisconsin, Dr.
Did you know that the most important part of your visit with The Neighborhood Veterinarian is the doctor's examination? The doctor will examine your pet prior to any procedure or routine care. She may find a problem in your pet that you did not notice. An examination includes an evaluation of your pets: eyes, ears, teeth, skin and haircoat, muscles, skeleton, genital region, and heart (rate and rhythm).

I cannot say enough good things about the neighborhood Vet! We worked with Dr. Klemens and he sat with me for almost an hour discussing my cat and ways to improve her health and behaviors. We were ready to rehome her with all of her issues, and he gave me so much peace of mind that I can manage her with a few changes at home. He wrote me a list of recommended products and we went to Petco on the way home and got them all! Thank you, Dr. Klemens for helping us!

Dr. Sue and the entire Neighborhood Vet team are great. We switched to Dr. Sue after a long relationship with our prior vet, but it was well worth it. The team is responsive, direct, and practical. They provide our dogs with excellent care and demonstrate they genuinely care for their health and well-being.

Dr. Sue and the staff at The Neighborhood Veterinarian are wonderful! I have a bigger dog who is a spaz in public and they take good care of him at each visit. The office is easy to get ahold of for questions and they do their best to squeeze you in for emergency scheduling if/when those situations arise.

Dr. Sue and her staff couldn't be more caring and the care they provide is exemplary. Dr. Sue has been our vet for almost 6 years - she has always been very thorough and we never feel rushed in our visits as we have a larger veterinary practices. I feel like she truly loves each of our pets and has referred us to a wonderful surgeon when one of our dogs needed extensive orthopedic surgery. I can't recommend Dr Sue and her staff highly enough!
