Magruder Tabb Animal Clinic

Took my 2 year old cat this week for the first time and it was a truly nice experience. Staff was great and the Dr. completely knew how to handle her since she gets extremely stressed in the vet! Our concerns were addressed and we went home happy!

Great pricing. Additional services besides a visit such as prescriptions and tests are inexpensive. Also has a nice atmosphere, with helpful and inviting staff. My cat was seen promptly for his appointment. They also seem to have a good system going for their walk-ins - despite being busy, you don't have to wait hours to get in. Even with lots of pets going in and out, there's no loud barking or whining that may scare your pet. They also handled my cat very gently even while he was trying to run away.

Our vet was out of town and our cat needed care. They worked us in. Dr. Wallace was very thorough, explained everything that could be done. I would highly recommend him to all pet owners.

Every doctor I've seen here has been phenomenal. Dr Wallace being a favorite, of course. His prices are affordable and he genuinely cares about animals. Most of the front staff is pleasant as well. Just an over all wonderful place to take your pets too!

My fiance & I bring our five pets here and we are so glad that we do. The whole office is helpful and informative. I also have to give a shout out to both Dr. Kline & Dr. Wallace for being so tentative to my questions and concerns. Dr. Kline has been so helpful to us, not only did she evaluate a bump on one of our dogs tails at a check up (that we scheduled for surgery) It eliminated any anxiety I had, she also personally sent an email about our cat, and her Kidney diagnosis to make sure we had all the information and could treat her as needed.

In the same hectic week (on a Friday afternoon at that, when most would want to go home) I had an emergency with one of our dogs and Dr. Wallace jumped on the phone and told me to stop in real fast. No wait, no hesitation, quick appointment to calm my anxiety for over the weekend and even handed me his cell phone number to update him on Copper. Thank you staff at MTAC! Y'all are truly awesome.

Absolutely 5 stars, I'd give them more if I could! They were extremely kind when my husband and I called the morning my sweet Paisley passed. Told us to come right in (we were planning on euthanasia but she passed right as we were about to bring her in) we received this beautiful urn which we were not expecting, but truly appreciate. 10/10, as long as I'm in this area I will bring my animals here!

Really great vibes from this place. This was my first visit to this clinic and I know already that they'll be my regular vet. I feel like they really care about what's best for my pets and helping me make informed decisions about their care. Highly recommended!

Started going here when we got our gsd last August during covid. Had heard good things about them and it was a plus that they allowed us to come in to appointment with our puppy. So many vets did not. They have been doing a great job taking care of our pup. Patient with all our questions and Koda has no issue going. The receptionists are all A plus too!

My first visit at Magruder Tabb Animal Clinic went really well. I adopted a new kitty (Lulu) and within a week she got sick. My wait time was minimum and the front desk staff were very kind. The doctor and staff were very attentive and checked her over with a fine tooth comb. Answered all of my questions and I never felt hurried. The next day Lulu felt so much better and before the week was over she was well.

For the past 18 years I took my other animals to another vet closer to my home in Hampton. As the years progressed I felt like my babies weren't number 1 in their eyes. I'm so happy I decided to change vets and Magruder Tabb came highly recommended. After all, we want the best for our furbabies!

They were amazing! My new vet for a dog, cat and a bunny. We had a sick puggle on a Saturday morning and no one would see us. They were thorough and sweet. We even got our meds right there. Great all around.

Literally the best vet we’ve ever been to. We’ve been taking our own dogs here for years, but as a pet sitter I’ve often been to other clinics with client’s dogs. While other clinics are nice, I’ve never met anyone who rivals Dr. Wallace. He doesn’t pressure you to do tests or buy things you don’t need and will typically even tell you what your pet can go without to save you some money.

He gave his personal number to a friend and saw them after hours so they wouldn’t have to pay twice as much for an emergency vet visit, and has been known to make house calls as well. Just today, we brought in a new dog and she was scared of the new surroundings and people. He sat on the floor and gave her treats until she was happy and sitting in his lap.

He took his time with her to make sure she was comfortable instead of pushing to get her in and out quickly. We also go to a low cost clinic for vaccines as we have so many dogs, and he doesn’t mind that at all and always welcomes us in no matter how long it’s been since we’ve seen him and doesn’t try to get us to come to him for our routine stuff. He’s also given us items such as medicated shampoo for free and even discounts on large bills.

I can’t recommend him enough and would trust him to take care of any of my animals. We haven’t seen his new partner yet, but I assume she’ll be great as well as he actually cares about animals and would only work with the best. The techs and office staff are typically all very friendly and helpful as well.

Just moved to the area and took our dog for her check-up. All the staff members we encountered were nice. Dr. Joe Wallace was awesome. He didn't just wanted to know about our dog and have us be on our way. He was interested in our family as a whole, dog AND humans together. That just set a great tone for the whole visit and I'm so thankful I went with Magruder-Tabb Animal Clinic for my girl.

Also was informed of their boarding and grooming services and just love that it's basically a one stop shop which is fantastic for my busy family! I definitely would recommend this clinic to anyone looking for a family friendly clinic!

I've got three medium-big dogs which makes keeping track of things a bit of a pain. They have a "pet portal" to help organize things, and have boarding and grooming services that are less expensive than anything I've been able to find in the area. Prescriptions are cheaper than pet-meds - if your pets get prescribed something it won't break the bank.

All the people here are friendly and happy to explain things. My wife usually takes them over which leaves me a bit perplexed when I take them, but the staff keeps things sorted for us

I have been going to Magruder Tabb Animal Clinic for 20 years and it is a great place to take your pets! Dr. Wallace and all the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Dr Wallace has the biggest heart of any vet I have ever had contact with. The staff is friendly. I bring my three pets here along with rescue dogs I get. My pets are my family and I trust Magruder Tabb Animal Clinic to get the best care possible!

My puppy loves this place. They kennel girls play with the animals and genuinely care about your pet. My puppy gets separation anxiety but he gets so excited to spend he day getting groomed and attention while I'm at work. It's hard for me to leave him but I know he's in good hands!
