The whole staff was very friendly and personable! They were friendly with a dog who is often scared of new places especially when she was in pain. They actually made a diagnosis based off an X-ray that our other bigger Vet missed! My dog is on the way to having less pain because of the staff here!

I wouldn’t take my rabbits anywhere else! Everyone is so personable and doesn’t mind answering your questions, they are great when the animals even when they are timid. One of our rabbits isn’t a fan of human contact and Dr. Flinkstrom and the techs were very patient with him. Also it is so convenient to be able to get the animals’ medication immediately after surgery and not have to go deal with a pharmacy. Thank you everyone!

Our pets have always received loving, compassionate and knowledgeable veterinary care. We trust the medical advice and care given at all times.
Referrals we have been given for outside facilities for additional care have always been good referrals and spot on with care.
The office staff, scheduling and communication are timely, clear and concise. Billing for all services is reasonable, and the Pet Care Club option that LVH offers makes routine and specialty care even more affordable.
It is also very comforting to know that house calls can be made if needed. Just an added service that we value.
LVH is first rate in all they do!

This was my first experience with them and we went there because they were the only place in the area experienced in bunnies. I unfortunately had to put my bunny Puffles down, but they made the process easier and they were caring! I also received a voicemail the following day with their condolences and a hand written card in the mail from the female doctor we saw.

Customer Testimonials

This is one of the only vets around that does small animal and reptile care. I brought my Jacksons chameleon here because she had some sores on the inside of her mouth and wouldn’t eat. They took her right in and did surgery, she’s back to her normal self and I couldn’t be happier! The staff was wonderful and very welcoming and really knew what they were doing. I will absolutely be bringing my reptiles and other pets here in the future.

Doctor Val, her genuine love of animals is apparent. Everyone is attentive and thorough with my pets. I am confident they are getting the best care.

I have owned dogs most of my adult life and I loved everyone of them. They were family and as such their veterinary care was/is very important. I have received excellent vet care in Minnesota, Florida, Georgia, and Washington State, but of all the vets, technicians and staff I have known, Lunenburg Veterinarian Hospital tops them all.

Alyssa and Nichole were very nice to my timid dog! Also, I got a phone call with the test results very quickly. And I really appreciate your Pet Care Club services, which helps me spread vet service costs in an affordable monthly payment.

From Our Website

Lunenburg Veterinary Hospital is proud to serve Lunenburg, MA and surrounding areas. We are dedicated to providing the highest level of veterinary medicine along with friendly, compassionate service. We believe in treating every patient as if they were our own pet, and giving them the same loving attention and care. We are a group of highly trained, experienced animal lovers who are devoted to giving our patients the best care possible. If you have any questions about how we can care for your pet, please don't hesitate to call us at (978) 345-2623.

At Lunenburg Veterinary Hospital, we are happy to offer microchipping. Every year, thousands and thousands of pets go missing. Not knowing where your pet is or how to bring them back can be a helpless, hopeless feeling. It's a tragedy that happens all too often. But there is a simple, safe, and effective way to ensure your pet's safety and retrieval should they ever become lost. Microchipping is a standard procedure that implants a tiny chip underneath your pet's fur. It is a painless and relatively fast procedure, and is completely safe.

Preventative medicine is important when our pets are young, but as our pets age, and become prone to certain disease processes, annual exams and blood work become even more important. Annual exams and simple blood work to check liver and kidney values, along with thyroid function have the potential to alert us to early changes that may give us important information about your pet's health. Beginning exams and annual blood work when your pet is young and healthy gives us a baseline to compare to as your pet ages.

Pain is a terrible thing. Lunenburg Veterinary Hospital wants to alleviate as much pain and discomfort in our patients as possible. In an effort to bring you the highest quality care, we are dedicated to provide top notch pain management. When our pets are in pain, so are we. It's an awful feeling to know that your special friend is hurting, especially when there isn't anything you can do to help them. It is our goal to eliminate as much pain as possible, and to give these pets a better quality of life.

At Lunenburg Veterinary Hospital in Lunenburg, MA, we believe that one of the most important aspects of caring for your pet's health is vaccinating him or her against potential diseases. There are a variety of diseases which affect our pets and other animals. This makes proper vaccination vital in protecting them from the many types of illnesses they are susceptible to. It's important to consult with us about the unique risks of living in our region. We will be happy to discuss the benefits of protecting your pet with vaccinations, as well as, provide you with information on the required vaccinations for your pet.

Dental care is very important for our pets, though many owners do not realize just how vital it is! Dental disease is more than just bad breath and discolored teeth! It can cause many health issues, including heart disease, liver problems, and kidney disease. Dental disease affects more pets than you may realize! In fact, 80 percent of dogs and 70 percent of cats over three years of age suffer from some form of the disease. This makes it the most common pet health issue among our pet population in Lunenburg, MA.

The team at Lunenburg Veterinary Hospital is comprised of highly trained and experienced animal health professionals who have a genuine love for working with pets. Our staff treats every patient with the highest quality of medical care as well as a gentle touch. In 1983, Dr. Flinkstrom settled in Lunenburg with wife Teresa and sons AJ and Sean, and opened Lunenburg Veterinary Mobile Facility, making house calls for "All Creatures Great and Small." In 1988 the practice was moved from the pickup truck and the kitchen table to the current facility.

We are proud to provide Lunenburg, MA and surrounding communities with state-of-the-art veterinary surgical procedures. We believe in utilizing the highest level of medical technology, and our surgeons are experienced and highly trained. We also realize that it can be stressful to have your pet undergo surgery. We want to assure you that your pet is in good hands, and that we will do everything to provide the best care possible. We will communicate with you about the things you need to know before, during, and after your pet's surgery.
