So grateful for Dr. Heidi and the staff here. They've gotten my 4yo pitty through two TPLO surgeries (huge and long recovery time) and she's recovered like it never happened. It's clear that they care about my dog's health and take the time to make sure I understand what's going on and feel confident in caring for her at home. I've moved all around the Austin area and continue to take my dog here because they're so good. In addition to the surgeries, they've cared for her gastro health, allergies, and general wellness. These guys are the best.

They were wonderful, Brought a 3 week old puppy in she's very tiny runt of the litter Dr. Smith and everyone there worked on my little Peach until they ran out of things they could do for her. She is so much better and I really appreciate the level of concern that they showed for her discomfort and the price can't beat the price for an emergency vet. Would definitely 100% recommend.

My dog is older and had been sick a few days so I was very concerned. Without hesitation Dr Doyle had me bring him in. After checking him out he was prescribed some medications. Their technician Shelby was wonderful. She was so gentle with Rocko and explained all the meds to me and what to expect. I left there feeling so much better! Thank you Dr Doyle and Tech Shelby!

My overall experience with Lakeway vet has been poor, but there were two particularly bad situations. First, my dog has special needs so when I had to leave town for 2 days I thought it made sense to board her with her vet. However, when I picked her up her nose was scratched and bleeding and she had patches of wounds on her elbow from presumably being in a cage 24 hours a day.

She was scared for almost 2 days after I picked her up. Second: she was scheduled for a dental and day of I took her in and they were walking me through the charges and wanted to charge me $90 extra dollars for "special anesthesia" - my mom was a vet tech so I called her to ask and she assured me the propofol was just fine and even doctors use it on 100 year old patients.

When I declined the up-charge, she insinuated multiple times that if my dog were to die on the table, it would be my fault for not not spending the extra money (she's fine btw). The receptionists are rude and I do not recommend anyone go to this vet. Listen to the reviews!

This place had me in grateful tears today. My dog was clearly in pain. And every other emergency clinic in town was at capacity. I called Lakeway and they were so kind and said they were also very busy but they would get my boy seen. From the vet, to the tech, to the front desk staff, these people could not have been nicer. They were thorough and hopefully we've got my sweet boy on the path to recovery. My heart is just so thankful for Lakeway Vet Clinic today! Cannot recommend them enough!

Thank you for giving our rescue kitty, Pepe a wonderful first vet visit. We appreciate all the advice on taking care of him. Dr. Doyle was so sweet to Pepe and my boyfriend's daughter. Lovely people. I wish they had a payment program or that they weren't so expensive. But they were amazingly sweet and understanding. They operated on my little kitty, and showed us care credit when we didn't have enough, and were very patient with us as we looked for a way to pay for the operation. We were a complete mess and they showed no malice or anger or anything. It's clear they care about the animals here. I also appreciate the waiting room refreshments.

I brought in my cat for emergency surgery, and had a wonderful experience. The staff was kind, attentive, and explained everything in detail as I asked many questions. Dr. Smith was absolutely phenomenal. She took such good care of my pet, and I could not have been more fortunate to have her as our vet.

Easily the best vet practice I've been to. My pup ripped a stitch on a Sunday and they were willing to squeeze us into their busy schedule on short notice despite not being regular patients. Every staff member was kind and informative. They quickly repaired the stitch and the pricing was very reasonable for an emergency visit. I wish I lived in Austin so they could be my regular vet. Thanks again Lakeway team!

I have taken both my dogs, 2 rescue rotties, 1 which requires a particular amount of kind patience and love because of her past and the other a total goofball and have had great experiences all of the times over the last 4 years that I have been coming here. I have seen 3 different veterinarians and find each of them to have their own redeeming qualities.

They have all been empathetic and clearly have a love for animals. They have of course made recommendations but have always been respectful of my financial limitations. My most recent visit was unfortunately in the middle of the night for end of life care for my senior cat Walter. The night staff could not have been more kind or compassionate. The doctor on staff was precious as she spoke to my Walter as he fell asleep in my arms.

I highly recommend this clinic not only for their medical expertise and the affordable care they have provided my menagerie over the years but also for their kindness and compassion which I deem equally as important.

They were able to get my dog in quickly on a Sunday. Friendly service, only thing I would change would be getting written instructions on how to take care of my dog post-procedure. I like this place, but it's too far from home to go to regularly.

They saved our dachshunds' lives. Our babies managed to unzip a backpack and found some sugar free mints with xylitol. The wonderful vets here immediately started treatment and were able to save our beloved fur babies. We will forever be thankful for the love and care they received.

I love the fact that this Lakeway veterinarian was very knowledgeable about my dog's health. I was fascinated with how he checked out my dog's eyes ears all of his vitals. I was impressed with how well the staff brought in my dog immediately and focused on what he was therefore. Definitely I may switch my vets even though I have one of the best vets but she lives very far away now and this is just down the street from me little did I know how lucky I was.

I really enjoyed the fact that the price was very reasonable and enjoyed speaking to the doctor regarding a new heart and flea medicine for my dog. He also brought to my attention he had something way better then what I previously had for my dog another pro. I am truly grateful I'm definitely will return and my dog's health was good and that makes me really happy to know that I have a good vet just around the corner from me for emergencies or anything I need!

There is literally no one else I trust more with my favorite four legged member of my family. Ear infections, open wounds, stomach bugs, porcupine quills, cancer, cold laser therapy, they can do it all. They're open 24/7, run smoothly, and are very thorough. It comes at a pretty penny, but you get what you pay for.

I was so blessed to find this office! I have a 3 year old cat who was not spayed and very uncomfortable from her heat cycles. I was told it was a more serious surgery from previous vets considering she was not a kitten. I was being quoted $ 600-700 to get this essential procedure done. When I found this office I was immediately comforted with the most amazing vet Dr. Doyle, he made my sweet cat the priority and made time for her when they were very busy! More than reasonably priced, and everyone in the office truly cares about the pets there! 100/10 recommend

So happy to meet our new vet Dr. Heidi. Finn loves Lakeway Veterinarian Clinic. They were professional, compassionate and a great staff. Of course went on St Paddy's Day and Finn was decked out in his green!

I normally go to Paleface Veterinary Clinic however I had to go here due to an emergency after hours. Called beforehand and the service was amazing. The staff was very knowledgeable and extremely accommodating to my situation. Since it was an emergency, there was a emergency service fee however it was well worth it since the closest clinic that was open was an additional 20 minutes away.

The staff continued to do a follow up and even sent all the records to my normal veterinary clinic after the visit. Very happy with this clinic and if I lived closer I would definitely take my pets here full-time!

This was a very hard night and this morning was even harder. My husband and I are very fond of rescue dogs. Tank was The Best Rescue Ever!!!!! We saw a problem with his gums about 2 weeks ago. He is 13 and has never been sick. Still the gums were concerning to me. Covid19 makes the Vet visit less personal. However, Dr. Homnas was Involved and on the front line to care for my dog.

We sadly let him go today. Without her, tears would be the experience and it is. Still she was very reassuring and allowed us to rest him respectfully. Her Staff was also amazing. Tank likes girls, and they spoiled him with treats including Icecream. We all came together to make sure his last moments were Amazing!! Thank you Cheri Honnis!!! Our day awful, but You Made it Livable.

We are relatively new to Driftwood. Unfortunately our dog had a run in with a skunk this morning and we needed a 24 hour vet. A quick internet search netted us Lakeway. We called and Nicole calmly and patiently answered our questions. We loaded our boy in the car and headed over. On arrival at around 3 am, vet tech Jesse met us outside. He was friendly, reassuring and professional.

Shortly thereafter, Dr. Natalie and Nicole came out. They did an exam, and ultimately sent us on our way. While we were very unhappy to need their 24 hour service, we would not hesitate to come here again. Highest recommendation!

Not my usual vet but I needed to have my old dog put down last night. They were beyond compassionate and fantastic Would highly recommended them I have mentioned them to several friends today and they all use and love them
Am now switching to them as my permanent vet for my other dog

When it's after clinic hours and your usual vet of many, many years that you have a truly wonderful relationship with is closed and your sweet fur baby isn't doing so well, it's troubling and scary. Our 13 year old fella, Buddy Holly was more than just a little under the weather, and we knew it wasn't something that could wait until Monday. I hopped on yelp and began the search for after hours clinics.
Lakeway Veterinary's reviews were all wonderful and gave me hope that we'd have an after hours clinic that wasn't one that would be unfeeling jerk faces or try an upsell on us things our pup didn't need.

Thank you, yelpers, for sharing your experiences and leading me to Lakeway Vet; they were everything I could hope for in a veterinary clinic, period. From the first phone call, letting them know what was going on with Buddy, to walking in the door, to walking out - everyone there was amazing and friendly, compassionate, kind and had no problem answering every question we had.

The clinic itself is welcoming and warm from the moment you walk through the doors. We were greeted and taken back to a very clean, but super comfortable and relaxing room for what was a very stressful situation. I had a million questions and, because I was stressed about my dog, had to re-ask a few for clarification. Every person was patient and understanding, sharing all they knew to help us make the best choices for Buddy and his health.
Dr Heidi was amazing and, if we didn't already have a vet, she'd be it.

To be very clear, I live in East Austin - as East Austin as you can get, and I'd make that drive back to Lakeway Veterinary any time again, should we need an after hours clinic for our pets. You have absolutely no worries here, pet owners, that you and your pet will be treated with the utmost care, compassion and consideration, when coming here.
