If you love your pet, do NOT go to Dr. Gonzalez. She's just not good at her job.. she's incredibly unprofessional and very rude. Don't just take my word for it.. look up other reviews (more like horror stories) and you will see that I am not just one customer who had a bad experience..

  • Doesn't listen to client, no comfort measures of older animals, rude, tries to run expensive test

I wish I could give zero stars as that is what this place deserves. I have been a client for many years, but things have gotten worse over the past few years. On our last visit to this animal hospital, I found the receptionist and staff to be rude. While we were waiting in a hot examining room, I was sweating and my poor elderly dog was panting. I had to ask for them to give my dog water and turn on the a/c in the room.

Over the past year, each and every prescription has been messed up and my pharmacy has had problems getting them straight. They treat the clients and animals with a lack of respect. I have an elderly dog that is in the last stages of life. Instead of keeping my dog on medication that was keeping her comfortable Dr Gonzalez wanted to run expensive tests, change my dog's medications and take her off of the medication that was keeping my dog comfortable. I agreed to try the new medications, but as soon as I began the reduction my dog started having problems breathing. I left word with the staff for Dr. Gonzalez that since the reduction of the med my dog was having breathing difficulties, and my dog was making asthmatic sounds with her tongue sticking out and turned purple when outside or stressed. I was told this was to be expected with the heat and humidity.

During my dog's exam, Dr. Gonzalez made implications that I should not be on disability, but rather I should be back to work when my personal doctors have not released me to return to work. She also made me feel bad for not saving $250 to pay for a blood test. I have since contacted other vets in the area and all have asked the same question "why was the vet reducing the medication this stage of her life? She is an old dog and needs to be kept comfortable."
