Services
Just as regular check-ups to the doctor are important for people, routine veterinary care is critical to the health of your pet. In addition to feeding and exercising your pet, other aspects of general care are needed to keep your animal healthy throughout its life. These include regular veterinary care for vaccinations, parasite control, and dental care.
Dr. Heidi Watters has dedicated a great deal of her life to helping and caring for animals. As far back as middle school, she knew she wanted to be a veterinarian. During her high school and college years at Walsh College, she worked for a variety of veterinarians and learned a great deal about pet care.

Spaying or neutering your dog or cat will vastly improve your pet's behavior and keep them close to home. Spaying or neutering is the surgical sterilization of your male or female pet. By removing certain reproductive organs, your veterinarian ensures that your pet cannot reproduce. For female pets, the procedure eliminates her heat cycle and breeding instinct, while for male pets the procedure reduces or eliminates many breeding behaviors.

When I woke up and found my Cat ill and had no idea why, I called my vet of 23 years. They said oh next Friday we can get her in. What? So I called my friends Vet (Lake Cable Animal Hospital) and they got me in within the hour. I was SO appreciative of their help. I will be using them from now on.

Took my dear boy to this vet. She was very nice but her staff could use some training. Anyway wanted me to just send my dog in by himself. I do understand these are difficult times. But that's like asking you to send your young child into the drs office by themselves. AND WHO WOULD DO THAT.! Already found another vet. When I told them why I was switching and ask about their policy they assured me they would never ask me to send my pup in alone. Don't take your pets here.

It's not everyday you can call a vet clinic and get right in especially a busy clinic, I called because one of our pets passed away and I was told to bring him right in. We had him privately cremated because he meant so much to us! Even though the staff was busy with other animals and surgery I got right in. My fiance was very attached I got him a paw print and Ken the vet tech had brought it out and wanted to see what I thought first which meant a lot!

They turned out perfect! Now we have him returned to us and we couldn't be more relieved and grateful! Dr. Watters is a very caring vet and I couldn't ask for a better staff!

Never again will i take a pet to this vet. The one guy that works here is wonderful! I unfortunately didnt catch his name the one time we saw him. But past that, the staff is snippy, and cares about nothing but money. They jump straight to medicines and tests without fully listening to the issue, and dont ever offer a cheaper option (over the counter meds, etc) Example: I took my dog out to use the bathroom one day and she had blood in her stool. So, i called them and explained the situation and they told me to bring her in as soon as i can, and they may even keep her to run tests.

No big deal. Except i didnt get paid (and therefore couldnt pay them) until the next day. They put me on hold for quite a while (so long, i thought theyd hung up) and when the lady came back she simply said "put her on a bland diet. That should fix it" Now i dont know if theyre money hungry, taking advantage of people, and running unnecessary tests, or if they just dont care about the patients when you cant pay immediately. Either way, i will never take an animal back here, and i strongly recommend that no one else does either.

My parents have always taken our family dogs here, and now I take mine here. Everyone is super friendly and understanding, and Heidi is very experienced and knowledgeable. Wouldn't trust anywhere else with my pet's health more!

We have taken our cats to Lake Cable Animal Hospital for over 25 years, and have always been given great service. The staff is very friendly and professional, and have given the cats wonderful treatment (even when one of them acts like a little monster!). Dr. Watters is great -- very compassionate and understanding, always taking time to answer questions or discuss any concerns.

They have been there for us in difficult times, such as surgeries and euthanasia, and continue to provide great preventive care. I have referred family and friends to Dr. Watters over the years, and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone!

I have taken every dog I have ever owned to Lake Cable Animal Hospital, and have always been very satisfied with the service I have received. Over the years, they have not only provided preventative care, but have also been there for difficult puppy births, canine lymphoma, and end of life care. They have always been extremely caring and professional, and very honest when discussing even the most difficult topics. I have referred many friends to their office, and will continue to do so.

I have taken our dogs and cats to Dr. Watters for over 20 years now. Obviously, I think she is a great vet, but not only that, she listens and understands the bond we form with our "kids". The staff has always been wonderful, kind and helpful, the new folks and the folks that have been there awhile. And believe me, with my being in rescue and having a passion for the old and special needs, I do call them a LOT! I have never been turned away or put off even when I know they are swamped. I consider every one there not only a knowledgeable professional, but also a friend.

Dr. Watters and her staff have taken excellent care of our dogs for years. They are kind to the animals in their care, and provide good explanations and follow-ups so we can care for them at home.
