Our kitty received excellent care at Laguna Hills Animal Hospital this week. And we were so impressed by how kind everyone was who helped take care of him, from the doctor to the assistants to all the staff. I couldn't give a higher review.

Dr Cruz is the best vet we have ever had. She gave us advice on how to get our dog to lose weight without her knowing it. IT WORKED! She's a healthy weight and she's so happy. We also had her spayed and the staff at the hospital followed up by calling 24 hrs later to ask how our dog was doing. REALLY glad I have my dog being in their hands.

The staff is always very helpful, warm and welcoming. I have been using the boarding services primarily, but whenever vet services were needed they were accommodating and explained everything they were doing. Cost is reasonable and they never try to upswell like I feel some vets and boarding facilities do.

I received a note thanking me for bringing in Ginger. My pet is not named Ginger. We agreed to a variety if services. AFTER paying my bill I was informed that they were not able to do all of that had been promised, even a service my Vet has considered important. Management apologized, so I have raised the star rating to four since most of their vets and staff are very good.

First, I hate writing this review. I am new/back in town after over a decade. I had a 17 year old dog who I was losing. I received LHAH's info from a coworker. She was going down fast and I could tell I was upsetting others around me because she was so clearly dying in front of us. I called and made an emergency appointment around 3. I showed up hours early and figured I would just wait in the car.

I checked in and they took me right away. I'm sure I looked like a mess, because I was. They showed me my options on putting her down and said she was clearing missing oxygen due to what her gums looked like. I suspect iron, liver issues. Did they offer any opinions? No. Alright. They said I could pick any of these cremation options and they would ALL come with her paw print.

I didn't pick the lower option, I know it was somewhere in the middle. They put her down in my hands and were kind. Comes a week later they call me in the middle of my work day asking which option I choose. I said, "I'm going to have a meltdown at work because of this call. You already charged me. Figure it out. in fact where is my dog now?!". they said, "she's still here" I said, "She's been rotting there with you for a week?!?!".

After another week or two I finally get the call that my girl was ready to come home. I asked when they closed and I arrived a half hour before that. Came to a store that was completely lights off. Was able to still walk in because the door wasn't closed. Received attitude from the from desk person, because I made it in at all. Retrieved my girl and went home.

Sure enough. No paw print at all. I contemplated making a complaint, but why? They can't make it right. Money was never my motive. No discount, or refund will ever change this. Do I think the owners are to blame? No. Was there a few accidents? Yes. Is there anything they can do to fix it? No.

Dr Jackson is a real professional with bedside manor to be envied. it's south orange and the prices aren't unreasonable. My family is grateful to have found this place and this Dr.

We are brand new to the neighborhood, and my pups and I were welcomed with open arms by the staff at the Laguna Hills Animal Hospital. On the very first visit, Dr. Jackson saved my dog's life, by diagnosing him on the spot! Thank-you.

We drive 2 hours each way to go to see Dr. Cassidy Jackson. She along with all the staff are amazing! We have very high drive German Shepherd dogs and she handles them very professionally without fear. She is very thorough and communicates very clearly with us. I would recommend her and Laguna Hills Animal Hospital to everyone.

This was my first visit and I am so glad I chose Laguna Hills. My last vet made me feel my cat was on deaths door. Dr Jackson assured me she is doing fine and took the time to go over her care with me. Also what is very important to me is that she isn't ordering lab tests every 3-4 weeks like my previous vet and she's also willing to do online prescriptions which makes the process so simple.

I also like that you can email questions and get a prompt response plus I had very little wait time during my visit. Everyone from the front desk to the tech to the doctors are incredibly nice and helpful.

My dog, Buck Taylor, was not feeling his best on Sunday. We were able to drop off a sample and Buck got to wait in the car this time. The staff was patient on the phone and helpful once I arrived. I left shortly afterward with a prescription and a happy dog. Dr. Jackson has cared for our pooches (along with the amazing staff - through and through!) and as much as we love her, Buck was still happy not to see her on Sunday. We thank you, Laguna Hills Animal Hospital, for the best of care - always!

Excellent facility. The doctors are beyond top notch and, from my experience, explain all treatment options for your pet. I have been a client for quite awhile, and even after a five year gap of treatment for my pet, they just welcomed me back and provided excellent treatment for my pet. Dr. Cruz is simply AMAZING, and a Veternary superstar, but ALL of the veterinarians are excellent!

The staff really takes time to care for your pet and make them as comfortable as possible during treatment. The office staff treat your pet (and you) with the utmost respect, and I highly recommend this practice.

We just had to put our 19 year old cat down today and Ricky and Dr. Madan were there for us. Ricky went out of his way to give us our options and was very consoling during our most difficult time. The doctor was very informative and also considerate. We are very grateful.

Do your pet a favor and seek a better practice than this one. They had 5 employees standing around in their reception area with no other clients, and yet no one could be bothered to greet or help me when I came in last time. There is absolutely no communication at this practice either, so be prepared to repeat yourself 10x and clarify when they still get your information completely wrong.

Last time I went to this practice, they had my pet from before 10am to after 5pm and they didn't do anything to help him or give me any information. I wish I was exaggerating. They left him sitting in a cage that entire time and NEVER called me. I called over and over again with no answer for several hours and kept getting sent to voicemail. Finally when I got someone on the phone the "doctor" went to take a look at my pet and said she didn't see anything of concern.

They charged $20 for keeping my pet in a cage all day and then dared to charge me $76 for half-ass looking at my pet and shrugging me off. That's the last time I'll be ripped off here. My pet was already feeling ill and didn't get any better by being ignored here all day. I picked him up and he was still just as sick as when I brought him in.

I truly hope this place gets shut down so they can't steal from anyone else or ignore anyone else's pets. I'm in the process of formally reporting the "doctor" who said she saw my pet in hopes that she'll be investigated. She definitely didn't uphold her duty to my pet and shouldn't have the privilege of "treating" any others.

Dr. Madan at LHAH is AMAZING! My little elder yorkie had explosive diarrhea and vomitting, I called first thing in the morning and got an immediate appointment with Dr. Madan. Dr. Madan took the time to listen to me and figure out what was wrong my animal. I highly recommend Dr. Madan! Thank You, Janet

My doggie received great care here. We didn't have an appointment but they were able to squeeze us in. The girl who answered the phone was very nice, friendly and personable. Due to COVID you park in the parking lot & call them when you get there. They come out to get your pet & you can either wait in your car or leave & they will call you to pick her up.

When I picked her up the vet came out & talked to me about what was going on with her and gave me a list of options for her treatment. Pricing here is about average for other vets I've taken her to. I would take her here again, I'm confident that she received top notch care here.

The vets are nice enough, but very expensive and the wait times can be long. I bought the new puppy plan, which was $59.00 a month for a year. It covered immunizations and most fees. After 13 months I noticed my account was still being charged. I had to call to ha e it stopped. They didn't offer any refund, which doesn't make sense. Why would anyone pay $59.00 every month after the initial puppy phase. The only other problem I had was one very rude lady and as soon as I complained they sent out a very nice employee whom apologized for her behavior

They're taking very good care of my two dogs, with particular care for my little old girl. Very professional and thoughtful. I like how they do follow up calls, even on a Sunday and take precautions for COVID. I highly recommend them.

I just moved into the area and this Vet was recommended to me by my daughter. I have three dogs and two in particular love to rough play with each other when we are not home. Well one of them scratched the others eye, not the first time this has happened, and his eye was starting to get cloudy. I was not sure if it was due to the ointment I had on hand (from a similar previous incident) or possibly something more serious. Roberta was great, I called to make an appt and she requested my dog's records from my previous Vet.

She later called to advise me to continue the treatment with the ointment I've been using and if it got worse to then come in. The next day my dog's eye was clear and back to normal! I've never had a Vet go above and beyond like this, especially for a new patient. They seem to really care. I will definitely use this Vet going forward for all my fur babies!

Actually did not use their boarding services. I am from out of state and was looking to do are my shitzu over the weekend. First they seemed perfect, however, they required a $72.00 exam prior to boarding with a canine flu vaccine for $34.00 + a $19.00 bio-hazard fee! I have available veterinary records that are current, which was not acceptable. Second, the canine flu vaccination is NOT effective for 2 weeks, so why would that be required prior to boarding, given day of drop-off, did not make sense.

So paying a $130.00 vet fee for a healthy dog with current records just to board two nights. Almost seemed to be a way to boost charges. I am considering moving to this area and hope locating a reputable veterinarian will be much better!

I have been a faithful patron for almost 20 years. I think I've had 6 kitties as patients with LHAH--Mommie, Cat, Tommie, Doodlebug, Marley, and Bullet. They've been through exams, boarding, cancer treatment, and euthanasia. I even brought in a foster to be cremated after he unexpectedly passed away. This time around, it really sucked. About 10 days ago, I spent $850 to determine why my kitty was vomiting and got no diagnosis other than her continuing diabetes.

In spite of switching to a senior formula and increasing her insulin, she continued to vomit. When I called to determine next steps, the doctor didn't bother to call me back. He just had the desk call me to recommend acid reflux medication. I picked up the medication. At that time I asked about getting some diabetes management food. They told me they didn't carry it and were pretty rude about it.

The only thing they were interested in was getting my credit card number for the acid reflux medication. Totally unhelpful. I used to think they cared about me and my pet. That they valued my pet as though it was their own. Not any more. It's just give me your credit card and get lost. DO NOT RECOMMEND

I have been going here for about 20 years. There's not enough good I can say about LHAH. I'm a firm believer in you get what you pay for. I want the best treatment I can get for my pets, and that's why I continue to come here. The vets have years of experience, and I trust and value their opinions. They don't automatically jump to the most invasive, expensive option when there are other choices.

They explain everything carefully, answer all your questions and, without pressure, leave the decision-making to the pet owners. The office staff is the best. Very attentive, responsive, and you can tell they truly care about and love animals. I wish human care was this good.

I have been a faithful patron of LHAH for decades - Drs. Acton and Sultzer have helped me to nurture longevity and quality of life through several generations of dogs. Although Dr. Acton has retired, Dr. Sultzer's breadth of knowledge brings me confidence that I am continuing to receive the best treatment options for my dogs' health and well-being. Dr. Sultzer has always prioritized the pet's health, even when it may not have served their bottom line, which speaks volumes about his integrity and commitment to the animal's welfare.

In those difficult times of saying goodbye to a beloved pet, Dr. Sultzer's compassion and sensitivity were very much appreciated and helped to ease the pain of a tough decision. While he may not be the vet whisperer, he has a calming way with my dogs and I would highly recommend him.

My cat has been going here for years now and we always have the best experience. The staff is always kind and understanding. Our cat is a senior at this point and when he began losing weight a few months ago we got concerned. My husband and I took him in for a few tests. The staff came out to our car to get our cat, took him inside while we waited in the parking lot.

They were very clear on what tests needed to be performed and even called to check up on us several times over the next few weeks. Our cat is now on blood pressure medicine and gaining weight again! We are so thankful for the staff and the way they took such great care of our senior kittizen! Hopefully he will be returning to them for many more years!

The vets and vet techs are awesome and truly love what they're doing!the front office staff is super nice and able to juggle multiple situations at the same time. During this COVID shut-down, they also had issues with their phone system, yet worked through everything like champs; even when the parking lot was full and you k ew everything was happening at once, they still treated you as if your pet was the most important!

They are exceptionally knowledgeable about pet medical care, vaccinations, etc. They practice with medical caution and err on the side of over-information precaution in each situation. If you are looking for a place to tell you only what you want to hear and not the hard truths, this place is not for you. Dr. Jackson is AMAZING! She even grew up bringing her pets here!

That says volumes about what kind of place this is; it made her want to grow up and be a part of this vet family! Knowing I was anxious about my cat going under anesthesia, she made SURE no loud dogs were around when she took him back, let me stay while he went under, and constantly called to update me along the way, providing a full set of vitals at each call (at least three calls in an hour and a half!).

She truly cares not only about the animals, but also about the pet parents. If you are a picky, knowledgeable, and over-protective pet parent, needing as much care for you as for your animal, this is definitely the place to go! They will take great care of both of you, keeping you medically posted along the way!

Dr. Jackson is absolutely amazing! I am so thankful that we found her! Our 212 pound English mastiff child was diagnosed by our former vet with a torn ACL and they recommend we should get surgery as soon as possible. I did not have a good feeling about this so I asked everyone I knew for recommendations so I can get a second opinion. Our friend recommended dr. Jackson, and I am so thankful that she did!

We took willow in to see dr. Jackson and she told us that she does not have a torn ACL and would definitely not recommend any type of surgery. She did x-rays and found nothing wrong besides her knees being a bit inflamed. Thank you so much for your honesty and your genuine care and compassion for animals!

I can't speak highly enough of LHAH. Every time I come in The front desk staff is always incredibly kind and helpful, no matter how slammed they may be. Every time I drop off my pets they are eager to greet the staff, and upon pick up my pets they are always in great shape. Dr Jackson is phenomenal. She will go to the ends of the earth to help you and your pet.

Her follow up is the best I have ever had, and often times after hours because she cares that I know what's going on with results etc. During these past weeks of extra precautions the entire staff has been working so hard to accommodate pet and owner, and it shows! So happy to go to a vet where every person has such a big heart. They love my pets like their own!

Had two of my dogs cared for here for several years. My Olde English Bulldog was diagnosed with Cushing's disease and we lost him at the age of 10 and unfortunately lost my 14 year-old boxer later that year to stomach cancer. My boxer had multiple surgeries here from having a large plastic mass from a rope toy removed from his stomach to removal of large tumors from his legs. When we are ready to adopt another dog into our family again, they will be cared for by LHAH.

Nowadays, you don't find the type of care you--and your pets--receive at Laguna Hills Animal Hospital very often. Every single person I have ever encountered there is deeply compassionate, committed to your pets' health, and invested in finding the solution that is right for your situation. While everyone is great, I have to give special consideration to Dr. Jackson.

She is truly the best vet I've ever encountered in my life. When it was time to let my sweet Mr. Hugo (12-year old dachshund) go, I was beside myself. He was my best friend and I don't think I'll ever love another pet the way I loved him. Despite how horrible the experience of saying goodbye to a beloved friend is, Dr. Jackson somehow made it easier--right down to coming in on her day off to ensure that when it was time to go, it was in my arms and with a vet he knew and cared for.

She has a wealth of technical knowledge, a heart the size of Texas, and a true passion for her work. I can't thank her enough for the care and genuine love she showed my weenie-babies. If you are looking for a vet that recognizes and respects the importance of your relationship with your furry friend, and has the technical skills to improve their quality of life, look no further. I am grateful everyday for the care that LHAH gave to my family.

Wow. this place is extremely heartless. My mother and I were advised to put our dog down and had an extremely difficult time deciding if we should do it or not. We went back and forth for an hour, having the vet come in and out. We were charged an extra fee for "taking up the vets time" when deciding if we should put our dog down or not. Honestly, screw thus place.

What a disgusting business full of heartless vets. Do not ever take your pet here. I am so disappointed. On top of all this the vet was extremely rude and not understanding during the whole process. I am disgusted with all staff that works here.

Had to leave my best friend in boarding for 4 days and brought him here because this is where my mom takes her dog. Left my pup on Friday morning and was so worried about him. I called for an update Saturday and they said he was doing good and eating and going potty. They text me a photo of him at my request and I felt a bit better. Every day I worried about him, but when I picked him up he was happy and healthy. Perfectly taken care of. I would bring him here again if I need boarding in the future.
