I have been going to La Crosse Vet clinic since I got my first fur baby back in 2015. Fast forward to this year, I still have my healthy and happy kitty PLUS three more! I honestly can't imagine my life without the staff here. They ALWAYS return my phone calls in a timely manner, and are great about upcoming appointments/reminders. Also unbelievably conscience and aware of costs, and always willing to offer helpful options/alternate routes that don't jeopardize their overall health!
The staff all truly care about ALL their clients and it clearly shows, even if you're in the building no longer than 5 minutes. I hope if anyone just adopted an animal or is thinking of trying out a different clinic, please strongly consider the folks at La Crosse Veterinary Clinic! You will not regret their hospitality!

All the staff have been so caring and gentle with my dog who is very afraid of having his nails clipped. They are tender with him during exams too and have been very accommodating overall. They are also honest about pricing and haven't tried to push any purchases. I really appreciate having a vet clinic like this in town!

My dog was very sore and sick not eating or drinking they got him in same day on a last minute cancelation and gave fair rate as i was expecting it to be more costly as an emergency vist it was less then i figure and he had an exray done at vist and a exam and i was able to go into the vet clinic with him and so was my partner and dog was able to leave room after exam why i waited inside to pay very respectful and had a follow up text message today to see how he was doing

Called to see about having my cat's nails trimmed being that her cone is coming off after a spay in 2 days & the original vet clinic neglected to do so during her procedure. Although over the phone only, my experience was great! Being that my little fuzz had never been there before, I was given a call back immediately informing me there'd be a mandatory new patient exam.
Instead of pushing this on me, the clinic staff sent me an email to walk me through trimming her myself as an alternative. I've done it before with my other cat but was a little hesitant. They went above & beyond what I would've expected for not being a client. Definitely taking my pets there if I can't with my established one in the future.

The staff at La Crosse Vet Clinic are amazing and truly there to do what's best for animals and pets. Not only do the staff know our dogs and family by name, but they add personal touches to make us feel seen and heard. For example, our young puppy had to go in the day before our wedding and stay overnight; when we picked him up we not only got an healthy puppy but an incredibly thoughtful card congratulating us on our wedding from all the staff as well as a picture of our pup in a bow-tie for a fun memory!
It warmed our hearts to know he was so well cared for on a very exciting but stressful day. We adore the staff and doctors here, who check in our their patients and families regularly, and also provide advice and consultation often. The care and professionalism and personal touches are exceptional, and not to mention the incredibly fair and reasonable charges and payment options for care.

I live in Madison and bring my dog to this clinic for the excellent care they provide. True Story I felt a lump on my dog's belly. I called the clinic. My favorite vet, Dr. Mitzelfeldt was tied up for 3 weeks. I sent a picture of her lump and received a phone call within hours that I was to bring her in the next day. Dolly was diagnosed with a Mast cell tumor. Dr. M performed the surgery first thing the following morning.
He made time for her. The entire staff have been very supportive of both her and me. This group recognizes how important our pets are to us. Dolly is not a Service Dog, but she provides a remarkable degree of comfort during times of stress. She brings great joy to our home daily. She is a part of our family. Having Dr. M and his staff care for our family member brings us the needed assurances that all that can be done, will be done.

If there was a higher rating than 5 stars, I would give it. La Crosse Vet Clinic is seriously the best. They have taken such good care of my wonderful, noisy, annoying cat. they know his name, they know his attitudes, and most importantly they know how to take care of him! Every time I call about a health concern, they offer the best advice and if I need to come in, they are great about scheduling.
Their veterinarians are clearly experts and their techs are so skillful and passionate about what they do. I honestly don't think I could come up with something negative to say about this place! If you're new to the area like I was, I can't recommend these folks enough.

My sweet Emma was a patient here all her life. When she was around seven she got very sick and when we took her in, it was discovered that she was a VERY sick dog. We almost lost her, but this facility helped us so much. They did everything they could, even calling other specialists to figure out the best course of action. Because of their quick work, Emma survived that night but she still had a long fight ahead of her.
They fought with us every step of the way, going far beyond what could ever be expected of them. Emma had close to six more wonderful, active, love filled years before her sickness came back with avengence and there unfortunately was no more fight left in her. She went peacefully and the staff there was so amazing, respectful, and kind. I say all this because they truly helped my precious Emma every step of the way, going way above and beyond. When I eventually do get another dog, I will not take it anywhere else if I can help it. Thank you guys for all you did to fight for and with my Emma.
