Kelly was raised in Saratoga, NY, among the owners, trainers and jockeys of Saratoga Race Course, and the countless horse lovers of upstate NY. Riding hunter/jumper since middle school, she supplemented her riding time as a barn hand at a Morgan breeding farm, as a hot walker on the back of the track at Saratoga Race Course, and teaching riding at a summer camp in Asheville, NC.
Following school at the College of William and Mary, Kelly moved to Madison to work at Epic as a project manager. She spends her free time in Madison riding a paint named Storm, volunteering at Three Gaits, Inc., and fostering dogs with Fetch, WI. Kelly is excited to be able to incorporate her passion for horses in her work again with Irongate Equine Clinic.
Products & Services
We know how much you value the health of your animals, and we are constantly working to provide excellent preventative care to keep your horse looking and feeling his best. Good preventative care not only keeps your horse performing at the top of his game, it can help your horse stay healthy as he ages. We recommend biannual visits to keep your horse healthy and happy.
Just like people, horses require routine dental care. We recommend biannual check-ups to prevent and treat any issues that might develop. While dental care is essential if you notice any issues with your horse’s teeth, routine care is important for a variety of other reasons, including:
- Preventing bit and performance issues
- Helping your horse efficiently process hay and grain
- Prolonging the lives of geriatric horses
- Preventing infections or discomfort from tooth problems
If your horse is undergoing changes to his eyes or eyesight, he should be seen by a veterinarian right away. Common indications that something is wrong with the eye include eyelid lacerations, apparent vision changes, discharge, swelling, squinting and discoloration in the eye (such as a milky covering or a growth in the eye) . Noticing and treating eye issues promptly is essential for your horse’s health and vision.
Caring and resourceful and always respectful. Your compassion and caring for your four legged clients and also your two legged ones speak volumes!
Your clinic does a wonderful job. Dr. Ketover is so good to my herd and your office staff is fantastic. Keep up the good work!
I was looking for a Veterinary Clinic that had extensive Repro experience. I have Mares & Stallions and need someone comfortable collecting Stallions and breeding Mares AI & frozen. Also a clinic that can freeze semen and possibly store as well. I think I have found a home for all my breeding needs. So far the staff has been perfect. Now lets get that Mare bred this week! Thank you!
