My pup and I love this place. Everyone is very friendly knows his name and appreciates his happy personality. He is less anxious being left alone in his crate since he has been attending daycare a few times a week. The staff says he loves to play and it shows in the extra long naps he takes when he comes home.

The best groomer in town is for sure Cindy. She is great with small, miniature breeds. My dog, Minnie, loves her. In fact, my pet gets very nervous around people and almost all grooming places refuse to take her. Cindy was patient with Minnie and now Minnie just wants Cindy to groom her. Definitely recommend!

The vet I normally take my dog to was closed and he had gotten into the garbage and had eaten an entire chicken carcass! Griffyn was sick all last night (vomiting and diarrhea), lethargic and I was really worried about him. I decided to call Preston Animal Hospital since they had such great reviews. They had me bring him in right away. Less than an hour after treating him for dehydration and nausea he is back to his happy, playful self. The staff there is so friendly and sweet and made Griffyn feel very comfortable. I'm so grateful to them!

We love this clinic, and Dr. Suter in particular. She is so knowledgeable, and so engaged in the care of her patients. They're not the cheapest clinic around but the quality of care is really high!

I had an appointment on Dec 6 @ 3:30pm to have our puppy checked. I couldn't drive because of neck and shoulder injury so I had to ask my husband to leave work earlier to drive us there. When we arrived, we were told they couldn't find our appointment and they won't be able to see us. The front desk needs to pay more attention when they make appointments for their clients. The wrong info could waste clients a lot of efforts and time.

I brought my six year old shoe schnoodle in because he wasn't feeling well. It was my first visit there. They were great, and it's a great location and a really nice space.

Best vet I've ever been to! When I got there they took me right in and I was barely waiting longer than 2-3 minutes any time they went in and out. And the best part is that the price was SO reasonable. Any time I go to a vet it's always a $300 minimum for the visit and sometimes it deters me from taking them if I can't afford that at the moment. It will bring great peace of mind that I can take my cats when they need to go and it won't leave me strapped.

My sweet disaster, Pascal(see picture), is my baby. He has quite a few medical issues. We just moved to the area and I was worried about finding the right vet. I feel so good about our choice in Dr Fried, her assistant, Lorna and the rest of the staff at Preston Animal Hospital. They were so attentive and kind and have followed through with prescription, diet concerns etc. They have even been respectful and helpful regarding finding the best price for his prescriptions.

The front desk staff and the doctor were amazing. The assistants were very hands on and patient with our anxious Oreo . Thank you for a calming experience and for checking in multiple times after his appointment. We also appreciate you all letting us come back to demonstrate how to give him his medicine again. Our boy is getting better each day!

I have been taking my pets to Preston Animal Hospital for approximately 13 years and I have never had a bad experience! I love everyone there. When it is time for a visit, the staff seem happy to see my fur baby. They appear to love him as much as I do. I couldn't ask for anything more!

3 stars because everyone there was kind, and I feel like they did take good care of my cat. However, I was given a quote for a procedure for my cat that seemed excessively high, so I got a second opinion from another vet in the area who was recommended by a friend. She told me that my cat is not even in need of that same procedure, and if he does need it at some point in the future, it will be significantly less expensive than Preston would have charged.

Of course I would not hesitate to pay if I genuinely felt that the quality of care was better here, but there are definitely places in the area that will provide care that is just as good without overcharging or trying to make money from unnecessary procedures. If you get a steep quote like I did, I recommend getting a second opinion.

I've been taking my 3.5 year old pug, Milo, here for about a year now and have always been seen by Dr. Harper. This hospital is close to our apartment, but we've also loved the service. You definitely get what you pay for. Last year, after a vaccine he got, Milo had a very delayed allergic reaction that put us at the after hours ER vet (Quartet).

A year later, and they already had a note in his file to give him a premedication before the vaccine, so as to avoid the reaction. They're on top of their stuff here, always in good communication, and everyone is so friendly and good with Milo.

I have been taking my cat here for 3 years & i've always been impressed with each visit. Their facility is very nice & the staff are all very friendly. My cat has been hospitalized twice there & the doctors do a great job keeping you updated. They allow you to visit whenever you'd like & bring in food, etc. Dr. Shelton is the best. She is so sweet & you can tell she genuinely cares about her patients. **Update 1/26/19 Wanted to give Preston another shout out.

We have been seeing Dr. Suter lately & she is also wonderful! She always remembers what we talk about in regard to personal and my 2 cats. She always asks about the cat not being seen too! Simply love coming to this vet as I know my cats are in great care.

I've been taking my 16 year old here for a few months now. I find the techs and vets to be competent enough but I also think the prices are high. My experience is that there is a charge for every single item even if it's something that takes a minute. My impression is that this is very much a medical "business".

I've been a client of Preston Animal Hospital for over 10 years and the staff is always friendly and compassionate. I've never felt pressured into unnecessary treatments and always felt the doctors put my dog's well being first.

Having moved from Boston recently we needed to find a vet for our 16.5 year old Bichon. We are very fortunate to have found Preston Animal Hospital. Recently our dog had a major issue and I can state that Dr. Shelton saved our dog's life. Within days of the surgery he was running around and being himself. The entire experience was professional as the entire staff is wonderful. Also this is the best place for grooming.

We've been going to see Doctor Suter for ten years now. She has been there through some very challenging times with our pets and even came 30 minutes to our home when it was time to say goodbye to our senior dog with mobility issues. She is incredibly empathetic, always responsive, and an excellent medical professional. As long as Doctor Suter is at Preston, we will continue to make the long drive to see her there.

True care and concern for your pet's well being - and for yours. We have had wonderful experiences at Preston Animal Hospital where we take our dog and cats for veterinary care. First of all, they have been working with us on a difficult diagnosis of a GI issue that our young dog has. In doing so, they have gone above and beyond to treat my pet like she belongs to their staff.

When our girl wouldn't eat the dog food they served in the hospital, one of the doctors brought in a can of food from home to see if they could tempt her to eat. Their staff was wonderful to me in helping me place three stray kittens, too. I can't say enough about all of the doctors, particularly Drs Miller and Shelton.

UPDATED REVIEW: Oct 2016 --- Dr Goodwin is at Park Veterinary Hospital off Hwy 54 in Durham. A little further drive than this location but for a well-respected veterinarian it is well worth the drive and the prices at Park Vet Hospital seem to be cheaper! We go where Dr Goodwin goes. Also, when a client asks where Dr Goodwin is or went --- you should let them know as proper courtesy and not tell me "SHE IS NO LONGER PRACTICING"!

Thank goodness for LinkedIn as I was able to find her and quickly get our pet's records transferred to Dr Goodwin. Sorry, but I cannot recommend Preston Animal Hospital.

I love Preston Animal Hospital! I just moved to the Raleigh area about a year ago, and wasn't sure who the best vet would be for my yorkie, Penny. My fiance's co-worker referred him to Dr. Suter at Preston, and I'm so glad we decided to take up his recommendation. First of all, the prices are pretty reasonable. I had been taking my dog to another vet in the area, and was being charged an arm and a leg for simple vet visits. Preston Animal Hospital prices are a bargain compared to what I was paying. Second, my yorkie needed knee surgery on her luxating patellas and Preston Animal Hospital (with the help of Tarheel Vets) provided the *best* care, before, during, and after the procedure. Dr. Suter called me regularly to check up on Penny's progress, and encouraged me to keep in touch with updates. Penny's little knees are working just fine now, thanks to Preston Animal Hospital and Tarheel Vets. Third, we use Preston's boarding services pretty frequently and they always seem to love having Penny.

And last, the grooming services are also great! Penny always comes out looking stylish in her fresh puppy cut. I really can't say enough good things about Preston Animal Hospital. I've lived in several different cities now with many different vets, and I have to say - Dr. Suter and the team at Preston Animal Hospital are my favorites!

This was my first time visiting Preston Animal Hospital, and I could not have possibly had a better experience! I have a very young puppy that I felt needed to be seen sooner than later and I knew I wouldn't have time to set up an appointment. I drove there hoping they would be open and willing to see my puppy. The doors were open and they were happy and ready to look at her.

The Practice manager came from behind the desk to look at her and talked with me for quite some time before we were seen, her name was Tracy and she really helped ease my mind about the situation my puppy was in. She held her and was very genuine as she spoke to me. I believe she really helped make our first visit something to remember. It's not often you meet someone who cares for your pet like you do, regardless of the environment.

After seeing the vet Dr. Suter we learned it wasn't a serious as I had thought which is always a relief. They didn't try and run unnecessary testing to charge me, she was very honest with me during the time we were there. I made a follow up appointment and I am surprisingly looking forward to our next visit. Make sure you say hello to Tracy as she will greatly improve yours and your animals mood during your visit! 5 STARS PRESTON ANIMAL HOSPITAL!

I had been using another veterinarian center since my Rudy was a pup and when an emergency came up Preston was the closest option. They took wonderful care of him prior to and after surgery. The Dr took the time to explain treatment options and when it came time to decide on surgery we were very comfortable that we were making the right decision for our boy. I know that his health and wellbeing are in good hands at Preston. We will be staying with Preston Animal Hospital for his routine health visits. Excellent Drs and Staff.

Absolutely love the staff at Preston! Dr. Richardson is amazing and his love and concern for his patients is astounding. Grooming (Cindy) is amazing and the nursing staff (Heather) rock! I've never had a bad experience or phone call with anyone, but wanted to call out those amazing individuals in particular. I will take every pet I have her and recommend that others in the area do the same.

I have been taking my dog to Preston Animal Hospital for about 10 years. My girl has been examined by all of the vets there and I have been pleased with everyone of them, especially Dr. Jennifer Suter, my dog's primary vet. Dr. Suter is very knowledgeable and an excellent diagnostician. She caught my dog's bladder cancer so early that it was successfully treated with radiation and chemo.

My dog is now in remission. Dr. Suter is very kind and is always willing to answer questions, offer support and clear plan for treatment. The vet technicians, receptionists, groomers and doggie daycare staff are all great. They kindly give updates during the day when my dog is at doggie daycare. They are all kind and gentle with the animals. I feel like they love her almost as much as I do.

I highly recommend Preston Animal Hospital. You cannot go wrong with any if the veterinarians, Dr. Suter, Dr. Richardson, Dr. Goodwin and Dr. Hammer are all terrific. If you want quality care for your animal, this is the place to go.

Preston Animal Hospital is a fantastic veterinary practice. I especially have to give kudos to Dr. Goodwin. I followed her from her old office and would drive to Florida if I had to so my dogs could see her. She has treated all four of my golden retrievers. Dr. Goodwin has always been straightforward, honest, and caring with me about each one of them and even accompanied me to our last dog's oncology appointments. When it was time to let her go, she made a special trip into the office so she could be there with us. She is an exemplary vet, and I recommend her to anyone and EVERYONE.

Preston Animal Hospital was highly recommended by a dog trainer I met at the dog park for their veterinary care, day care, and grooming. I took my mini-schnauzer today for his first grooming. Cindy the groomer followed the instructions I gave her and he seemed happy and looked great when I picked him up. She removed matts from the bottom of his front pads that not every groomer would have found or bothered with, and I know he must feel better.

He weighs almost 29 lb. and I was charged $45 for his grooming and bath. We have just moved here from California, and a master schnauzer groomer there charged $60 for the same service. I usually do my own grooming but would be comfortable taking him back to Preston and Cindy anytime, and I plan to get his vet care there too when he is due for his annual check-up. The only reason this is 4 stars instead of 5 is that I haven't yet used their vet services.

We love Dr. Suter. We followed her from another animal hospital several years ago. She's very knowledgeable, takes time to explain any questions we have and is just a great vet. We have also used their boarding services for our cat as he is elderly and can't just be left at home anymore. Great services there as well. Would absolutely recommend them to any pet owner!

As a newer resident to Morrisville I decided to find a new vet for my two black labs when my female dog got a bit under the weather. Unfortunately I ended up having to put her down very quickly after my first visit to Preston but I will say the following. Although this was a heart breaking experience, the staff at Preston was caring and great even though I hated this experience. Dr Suter and her staff were truly the best I could have hoped for in the three or so visits I went to see them.

They made myself and my 13 year old lab feel welcomed and made this process as smooth and unpleasant as they could. I even received a sympathy card after her passing. I will be using them as long as I am a resident of the area. If you need a great vet check them out. Thank you Dr Suter and staff for the care you provided to Eve in her last moments and to myself in that time. it was and still is appreciated.

I used to live in the apartment complex behind PAH, so when I got my first dog it was the closest vet to me. While I moved from there 4 years ago, I still make the 20 min drive to take my dogs over to Preston since they treat me and my pups so well. The building is always clean and they always have you in a room within moments of your appointment time.

They are good about last minute appointments if your dogs got themselves into a bit of trouble, too. My dogs primary vet is Dr. Bauer, but Dr. Suter has seen them as well. They're both knowledgable and truly enjoy seeing your pet. My only gripe is they do charge an arm and a leg for their services.

The doctors seem very knowledgable. I have 4 dogs, but the cost were much greater than area vets. $57+ per dr. visit. When we rescued the last two, the extra costs wasn't reasonable any longer. I recommend them if there is something acutely wrong with your pet. However, the routine fees can be almost triple such as spay/neuter services. And although I have spent hundreds there over the years we left shortly after a bad boarding experience.

The staff mixed up our check in days; our flight plans were affected. They seemed to have little apology or ownership for their mistake. And when we picked him up he looked "rough". This was his longest stay, but he normally does fine in a kennel. I love my guys, & we've decided not to return as boarders or clients. The vets are nice but the staff is mildly friendly and the administrative gentleman seem more concerned with the bottom line than keeping your pets comfortable while you are away. Consequentially, we've taken our business elsewhere.
