I have taken my pup here for the last year (my dog's whole life), and I feel safe bringing her here, even when I can't go inside with her. My dog loves them, and she even gets excited when we get to the vet. Any questions that I have are always answered thoroughly, and I have a lot of them since I am a helicopter dog mom. I am glad that I found a place that I know that I can trust to take care of my baby.

Super friendly staff! Dr. Hesse is very thorough with his exams. Also, I bring my 80 lb Catahoula here for his baths. The price is right and he always comes back smelling great!

My experience with this hospital was amazing. Unfortunately I had to put my pet down but they made it much easier. They took care of all of the arrangements.

My wife and I adopted a dog from a local rescue, and we have been dealing with the vet that is affiliated with them for the past year. We decided to start looking for a new vet for our dog Louie, not only because it was so far away, but the service was not pleasant. We had a couple of concerns about Louie so we started searching for a local vet with good reviews, and my wife and I stumbled across Gretna Animal Hospital.

We called and were able to get an appointment for Louie the same day. They were truly amazing! Everyone was super attentive and were respectful with COVID-19 protocols. Dr. David Hesse was really comforting and assuring, and he answered every one of our questions and went the extra mile in his explanations. Louie had a great time as well : We will definitely be taking Louie back here. To Dr. Hesse and the staff at Gretna Animal Hospital we say THANK YOU!

Our Vet, for generations. Thank you, Dr. Hesse. Touch-free these days. Call in from your vehicle parked out front at appointment time, and one of the wonderful staff will come out and get your GoodBoy (or Grrrl). The Doctors are top notch. Complete veterinary services. Hospital. Dental too. The staff always seems happy. I can see them smiling behind their masks. Yes, various pet supplies are available for purchase in the lobby.

The office in Gretna is stand-alone, not in a strip mall, and easy to get to from anywhere. It's about five blocks from the WB expressway Stumpf interchange. See the map. They love caring for our family. When the dog or other species needs the doctor, this is the place.

The staff here is amazing! They are so caring and take their time. We also using their boarding services and they keep you informed, and they love your animals as if they were their own. I had to rush one of my dogs in, and they took us right in and allowed us to stay with our dog until the end. I'm so greatful I don't have to worry with my dogs in their care.

Dr. Hesse and his staff are absolutely amazing. Our English bulldog Sophia had to have surgery and everyone was so caring and made us feel so comfortable. Our dogs just spent the weekend in the boarding facilities and came home worn out! We are new to the area and told them our concerns with our almost 15 year old dog so the observered her while there and met with my husband at pick up. Very caring place and excited to have found a wonderful place so soon after moving here.

Dr. Hesse's the best! I've been taking all of my dogs to Dr. Hesse for years. He's very knowledgeable, patient and caring. The staff is great too! My dogs are not always the easiest to handle because of their spirited personalities, but they make it look easy.

We have been taking our animals to Dr. Hesse for years and today my 16 year old dog needed to be seen urgently. Peggy and Dr. Hesse got her in quickly and as always provided excellent care for our old girl. I can highly recommend them for their caring and professionalism. Five stars all the way.
