We used this vet for years, but I will never forgive myself or this office for my dog's last days. I strongly feel that this office gave me false hope regarding my dog's chances of coming home. She was 13 with a chronic disease, and we took her here one day when her symptoms got worse. They kept her overnight and said she would likely go home the next day. And, then they told us that for four more nights.

We came into the office on the fifth day to visit our dog, and one of the vet techs was compassionate enough to tell us that it was time to make a hard decision. The vet we saw that day was callous and rude. Rather than having our dog at home with us, her last five days were spent away from her family in this office. I can't help but feel that they just wanted to run one last bill. I will never recommend this office to anyone.

So bad! I had my dog with a friend last Thursday when I need to go to office. My friend messaged me that my dog was coughing and splitting up white foam in the morning so I asked him to send my dog here for a checkup. They basically take whatever potential issue I myself identified without giving any second thought to rule out any possibility. They also tried to worry me by saying my dog is in pian, she needs immediate health care, vet herself is very concerned, and her temperature is really high.

I was super super worried and feels like I'm losing her. And then they proposed the following treatment: fluid therapy, blood test, radiology, ultrasound, antibiotics. Anything you could imagine. I have always not trusted them, just being lazy and not switched. This time, I'm not feeling good and asked to transfer. I left my work immediately and went to pick her up and send to Sage redwood city. Turns out she is all fine, may be kennel cough and I haven't heard her cough for once after I get her, and her temperature is also normal.

She was later discharged with me to monitor if she cough. No other treatment or prescription. It's been 4 days now. She is just normal. This hospital is really just for Money. Shame on you! Don't pretend that you care about my dog. You don't!

The doctor knew what was wrong with my cat right away but I had issues with other staff. I was told one thing on the phone and told something else when I arrived. Staff also told me my bill was one amount on the same phone call and was $300 more when I arrived an hour later.

Extremely convenient. I dropped off my pet on the way to work and picked her up after. They have super extended hours, the people on the phone are friendly, and They do next day appointments. I did feel they were pressuring me into an optional treatment, rather than laying out "these are the options."which made me feel even worse about declining it even though I think it was extreme. :

My partner and I came in with an emergency and the doctors and staff were a godsend. They took in both her dog and my cat last minute, even though my cat wasn't a patient at the clinic, and took excellent care of them. Our babies had to stay overnight so of course we were anxious about them, but the staff were very professional and attentive, responding to all our calls and questions with compassion. They really went the extra mile to make us and our pets feel safe. Thank you Alta View!

Add on services and poor services at that. Had a growth removed from my dog's foot. Seemed benign so I declined sending it to the lab. They charged me for sending it. Over two weeks later and no results from the lab. Had to call myself to make an appointment to get the stitches removed. Now waiting over 7 hours for them to remove the stitches. Worst service ever. Go somewhere else.

We took our cats in to be boarded. After we dropped them off, they called to tell us our cat had an upper respiratory infection. Fine. Treat them for it. In all we paid almost $3000. They are so expensive. I wish I had looked at the reviews before going here. But maybe I can save someone else some money. I never dreamed of it being this expensive.

After calling to find out more information about the bill, all they could say is our cats were very sick. They showed no signs of being sick when we took them. They said they did IVs but they didn't shave a leg so how did they do an IV. I'd like it if they did the right thing and refunded money for services not received.

One star. I have used this vet several times and they love to upcharge and recommend services that are not needed or necessary. They are also overwhelmed and will keep your pets overnight and for multiple days because they don't have time to complete all of the services. The last straw was when my cat was returned to me with an eye cover/mask/muzzle on her face (Vet's property).

They obviously had her like that for several hours and didn't bother to look at my cat before returning her to me. There is no reason why she should have been muzzled while in the pet carrier. And my cat is not aggressive at all. Her new vet actually said she was very sweet. Avoid.
