Dr. Farris takes care of all of my family's animals - my three and my parents', as well as pets past. Doc isn't the type to mince words - he gets right to the point and we all appreciate that. He won't try to sell you on bloodwork, shots, or anything you didn't ask to be seen for BEFORE they will help with the issue at hand. He might make recommendations but will not make it a requirement to be treated. Dr. Farris' prices are the same - straightforward and fair, no hidden costs. I know I am fortunate that my pets are in his care and I truly hope he doesn't decide to retire anytime soon!

I have been to different veterinary's and none were compassionate and understanding like Dr. Farris he went above and beyond to care for our dog. I wish I would've known of him a long time ago. So blessed to have found this Veterinary. I am going to bring my other dogs to visit him too. Thank you Dr. Farris and team

New client, very knowledgeable, open to recommend foods and diets. Doctor worked well with our cat, easy process from start to finish. Overall cost was not to much, for eye drops and check up

Just a year ago, Murphy was 15.5 lbs, he had a collapsing trachea from being overweight, he had breathing problems and coughed and huffed constantly, and his kidneys were starting to fail. Today, he's 12.1 lbs, has barely any breathing problems, (he's part pug so that's saying a lot) and his kidneys are fine with no meds. This is all because of Farris Veterinary Clinic.

We couldn't be more grateful to them for adding potentially years onto our elderly dog's life with a few simple changes from us, for helping him to be comfortable and happy, and STILL get the zoomies - at a minimal cost.

I take all my pets here for years now. And they have good prices BUTfor them to be our regular vet. It's hard to get ahold of them and I'm always told they can't take on new patients when my pets arnt new to them.

Dr Farris is an awesome vet. He really cares about the animals. He has neutered both our cats and both were crazy as ever after the drugs wore off. Neither of them looked butchered, as I have seen with other vets. He really cares and it shows.

Literally just got off the phone asking to schedule and the receptionist informed me they're not accepting new patients but asked me to hold. I waited for 4 minutes & she then asked me if mornings or afternoons were better, I said "well you just told me you're not accepting new patients and I am, so are you making an exception for me or referring me elsewhere?" She then said "ya we're not taking new patients, sorry about that." What?

Why was I placed on hold? Would've been nice to have held for at least a referring business accepting new patients. This was a very unprofessional call and clearly a waste of my time.

My dog had somehow managed to pierce his underbelly and made a pool of blood on the floor in the kitchen. I panicked and called a few clinics. They were the only ones that said they would help me. for that i am in their debt. They said they would be closing but the doctor stuck around late to help my little buddy get back to full health. A few cuts and some stitches and my buddy was back up and running. If I could give them 6 stars I would. Highly recommend them

There is just so many great things about things place. They got me in right away when my 14 y/o cat was losing weight. And an hour later, we had the answer that she had diabetes. He showed me how to give her insulin and to change her food. And the best part, $220 bill! No one can beat that! Everyone is funny and so helpful. The whole office has a family vibe

I had an excellent time there. When I arrived, someone came out and checked me in outside. This allowed me to walk Mocha around to make it easy. We went in and I waited about 5 minutes to be seen. Dr. Farris was quick and efficient. He took the time to listen to me. The people who work there are friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend Dr. Farris.

I am so SO thankful for Dr. Farris and his staff! I had a 6 month old French bulldog with an emergency right before a holiday weekend. Everyone else had a 4-6 hour wait time but they heard my concern and squeezed us in. I was so pleased with his care, the staffs attention, and they even had on site x-rays and medication. And best of all his prices were far better than even my regular vet! I am so glad I found them and will definitely be continuing his care here.

Best vet I had ever seen, he knows what he's doing and doesn't try tricking you into unnecessary procedures to get more money out of you like other vet clinics! We brought our dog in with an emergency eye problem, they were able to squeeze us in and he took care of the problem right away and made sure we call him over the weekend with updates because he wanted to make sure it all went well! This is the only place I'll be bringing my animals into!

We've been coming here with our pets since I was 13 years old. Absolutely love Dr Farris. He's great at what he does. I have my own pets now and have been here off and on with moving from Puyallup to Texas. I'm glad we are back in Puyallup. Everywhere else we lived nd went too wasn't nearly as good as this office. I recommend him to all my friends that have pets. It's very fair pricing and the family is amazing! -The Ostermiller's

We bring our four cats here and this place has the most wonderful staff! They helped save Milo's (our 15 year old cat's) life last August when he had some gall bladder problems. They're nice, professional, and what they have going is a passion project. Our own little local James Herriot!

I was having an emergency with one of my animals and when I got them in the car and started heading over I called and asked if they would be able to see her the woman on the phone was very rude and immediately told me no they had over a half hour till they closed and it would have taken me about that to get there yet she said they had 3 patients waiting and wouldn't take any more it took me another 15 min of searching and a 20 min drive to get to another vet that was open and my animal died because of it so if you have any kind of emergency stay far far away from here cause they don't care in the slightest

Can't say anything for this place except that the receptionist did not know their own hours or how to read a calendar. I called Thursday and made an appointment for Saturday at 9:00AM. We showed up and the place is closed! Sign on the door says they are only open on the 2nd and 4th Saturday's. And today was not one of those days. Would've been nice if someone had called me back at some point once they realized their error.

I was skeptical about finding a new vet. This is a house that's been turned into a vet, the grounds are kept up well, very pretty. Quaint cute little office. In and out with a rabies shot super fast. Pricing not bad. 62 for the exam and vaccine, I'm happy with that! He also quoted me 150 to remove the skin tag in her eye. Other vets have told me more like 6-700 so I don't think dr. Farris is trying to rip me off by any means.

Dr Farris and his whole clinic is just above and beyond! They are so sweet, it's so comfortable and our little guy just loves going in. We have a Boston Terrier who likes to eat pretty much anything he can grab - when he got into the bathroom garbage, Dr Farris got us right in and took a thorough look and reassured us he was okay (thank goodness!) To our pleasant surprise, he called us the next day - Thanksgiving Day! - to check on our fur baby.

He seems to remember us and our crazy wild doggo whenever we come in and just makes the whole experience so easy! I feel 100% confident in his care for a very special part of our family and would recommend him to anyone!

I really like this place. It's pet AND kid friendly. Dr Farris felt that a "wait and see" approach was the right course of action and sure enough, it was. I got the feeling from other vets I called that they would do an x-ray first ($$$) and that I would be a bad pet owner if I disagreed. If you are looking for a low-key place to bring your pet, give Dr Farris a try. I'm glad I did!

Dr. Farris has been our family vet for over 20 years. He's always been kind and made suggestions for the benefit of the pet and not his bottom line. And to address another review that rated him poorly for closing for a couple hours for "lunch" i am sorry you were dealing with a loved pet near the end and having to put a family pet down is always a terrible and stressful time, the reality is that dr Farris does calls to farms etc during those "lunch" hours.

So he may not be available and if you need something more immediate during those times taking your pet elsewhere may be the best suggestion. Hope that helps. Great Vet. Better than any chain you will deal with.

Both of our dogs are seen here. Farris isn't around the bush, straight to the point, and gets the job done. My in laws have seen him for over 15 years. It's nice that the office doesn't feel like a typical animal hospital and feels like home. What I really respect about Dr. Farris is that he treats our dogs like. Dogs! Not weird little furry humans.

We have been taking our dogs to Dr. Farris and his staff since 1996, and I must say that I have always been pleased with the care that he has given our three dogs. He is very knowledgeable, and good at explaining things, yet straight to the point. He has been a good provider and care-giver during various pet ailments: bladder cancer, doggie dementia, a beagle with a bad back, an owie tail from falling out of a tree, skin problems and of course, teeth-cleaning. Dr. Farris is a skilled practitioner, yet cost-aware.

In our latest excursion into pet health problems, he diagnosed our elderly dog with cancer. After doing research online, I asked him a particular cancer treatment. He knew all about the medication, but was up-front enough to tell me that it was expensive, and would require frequent, costly blood work. During the two instances in which we had to put our canine family members "to sleep, " staff was very compassionate. I would recommend Dr. Farris and staff to anyone.
