As a new client of our Veterinary Hospital in Erlanger, you can expect our full attention to your pets' needs. When you arrive for your appointment, you will be greeted warmly, and we'll usher you into an examination room after checking in your pet. In most cases, one of our veterinary technicians will start by asking about your pet's medical history, current condition and the reason for your visit, gathering data for the doctor.
I have always been pleased with the excellent caring service for both of my pets. The doctors and the staff are all professional and knowledgeable during appointments. They are accessible for questions between appointments. Since switching to Erlanger Vet Hospital I have never been so satisfied with the care my dog and cat receive.
Who makes up your family? I live with my wife, our golden retriever, Beamer, and our horse, Donut. We have two children and three grandchildren, two of which are local and one who lives in Montana. My second job is to spend as much time with my grandchildren and teaching them about being at home in the outdoors.

I have been a customer with them for many years and I have two golden and just got a new puppy. My middle dog got sick this past week and my wife took her there to get looked at. They were saying she had a slight temperature. So they wanted to do blood work and a xray on the dog. I have been Going there for years all of my dogs that had blood work done we were only charged like 140 dollars and then 60 to have them looked at.
So they ended up charging me 329 for the blood work and just to have her looked at. I called other local vets and they only charge 48 dollar ot look at a dog erlanger pet hospital charges 60ish to look at the dog. They x ray was going to cost 200 and some dollars other vet cost 75.00 dollars for a x ray. So my bill was 329 minus 60 dollars which means they charged me 269 dollars for the blood work.
Which I agreed to the blood work because they never told me a price on it. Other vets would have charge me about 110 for the same blood work. If you want to waste your money you can take your pet to them. I am filing a complaint with the better business about this and consumer affairs. Oh after I said something about the bill that they over charged me for I am not welcome back. At least I will get great prices at a better vet I guess.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I had a rabbit named jay jay, it was my sons second rabbit. I came home from running errands one day and saw that he was essentially unresponsive and just barely clinging to life. I rushed him to EVH and they took him back as soon as I walked through the doors. They were very attentive, as well as caring. Unfortunately, our little guy was beyond saving.
I recently had a brain operation and on a leave of absence from work making about half of my normal pay. As a single mom, I was struggling financially at the moment. EVH understood my position and offered to euthanize without charge so that he would not suffer through the end of his little life. I couldn't have asked for a better team and I am so glad that I decided to take him there regardless of the outcome.
They made a difficult situation as good as possible. To top it off, about three days later, we received a package in the mail and it was his paw prints and name in an ornament (pictured with review). If you need a team that goes above and beyond, this is absolutely the place to go. I'm so grateful for this team. I will recommend them from here on out!

I'm actually shocked that I'm writing this review because I usually brag about this veterinary clinic. I brought my dog in today for an urgent checkup because unfortunately she was attacked by another dog. Although her marks weren't as bad as they could've been (from how I perceived it) it was still my responsibility to make sure she was professionally checked.
Thank you to all that squeezed us in, but how you spoke to me was uncalled for. 1. I know my dog has an aggression problem.we've talked about this numerous visits but this was not why we were here today. SHE WAS THE VICTIM! 2. I gave you permission to sedate her, so teaching me how to use a muzzle, selling one to me, or giving me a link to YouTube on how to train her with a muzzle is the last thing I'm worried about You guys are usually very understanding and patient with my girl which is why I continued bringing her to you. But I paid over 100 dollars so you guys could give me a lecture on why you don't like my dog. Watching my dog be attacked was very traumatic.

My daughter got a new puppy and they helped her so much with explaining what to do and what not to do I love how helpful they are and very detailed in visit the place is not expensive I have taken my bearded dragon there and I would recommend if u want your baby to be taking care of right and told the right things this is the place

OUTSTANDING EXPERIENCE! With parrots there is not many professionals treating birds and time is of the essence! I got in quickly and was explained in detail all HONEST thorough options and risks. I rescue and adopt senior dogs. When I got my Newfoundland Mix, he was 12 years old and in bad shape. From cracked toenails and infected eyeballs, to skin infections and regular checkups, Erlanger Vet Hospital saw my pup on a regular basis. They gave the best medical care they could to keep my old pup happy and comfortable. From day one, Shadow was cared and loved by Dani.
When I came to the decision to put Shadow down, I was hysterical. All of the doctors and technicians who came through the room, gave me nothing but comfort. Dani was there until the very end, loving and holding Shadow through his catheter and carrying him in from the back when he couldn't walk. She was the one who took the phone call and cried with me over the phone, and she said she made sure she was there the next day when I brought him in.
She went above and beyond for my pup, as did all of the Vets who had treated him that day and before then. The doctor who did the procedure (I didn't catch his name) did a fantastic job at explaining what to expect during the procedure before it happened. Everyone who was there the day I put Shadow down was nothing but kind and empathetic towards me. I cannot thank Dani and the whole team enough for holding my hand during one of the worst moments.

I decided to come to this vet after I had a terrible experience at different vet in Ohio, and I have nothing bad to say about this place. I took my chinchilla here to get her teeth trimmed, which was performed by Tony Schumann. He called me throughout the day to inform me what was going on, and to ask for permission to continue with the teeth trim.
He is very knowledgeable and personable. You can tell he genuinely cares about the pets he works with, as well as their owners. The techs at the counter are also super sweet and helpful. They're very understanding, and nice to the pets. As I dropped off my chinchilla last time, the vet tech was talking sweetly to her as she carried her away. The prices are reasonable, and the care is very high quality. I would highly recommend.

Felt like a Seinfeld episode where George goes to the doctor for 5 minutes and is charged $90 then goes on to avoid paying. Not that I didn't pay, but I felt like they didn't do anything and then charged me 65 bucks. It was for an eye exam that they just shined one of those things they look in your eye with into his eye and told me there wasn't anything wrong then proceeded to try and sell me other treatments, shots.. idk didn't seem right to me.
This was about a month and a half ago that I went and I thought about initially writing a review but I decided not to buy after it popping back into my brain many times I decided to.

I have been to a few vets with my family's and my personal animals, and my experience at Erlanger Vet has SURPASSED any experience I have encountered. We once had a 7-year-old golden retriever who got extremely sick with liver issues. Our prior veterinarian AND a specialist had said he needed to get put down. The date was scheduled, and we decided to get a third opinion right before we were putting him down. Erlanger Vet gave him a simple antibiotic and THREE YEARS LATER Ollie is good and well.
I have recently adopted a stray kitten and have been to the Erlanger Vet with my first "real" pet as a 22-year-old (who is soon moving to Chicago). I will be back to get any treatments at Erlanger Vet every time I come back to Kentucky to visit family.
