From Our Website

Equiheart is primarily an equine practice where our medical competence with horses ranks among the top veterinarians in the profession. Setting us apart from other equine practices in the region is Dr. Wilson's expertise and experience with goats, sheep, llamas, and alpacas. Very few equine practitioners have similar proficiency as Dr. Wilson for these barn-yard pets. As a client of Equiheart you will always have a direct line of communication with Dr. Wilson! There are no receptionists screening your calls and no staff screening your emails.

A properly designed vaccination regimen is essential to a horse's vitality and well-being. At Equiheart we'd like to help you develop an appropriate regimen for each of your horses. We can guide you through the wide array of available effective vaccines and help you decide when administration would be most beneficial. This brochure details the vaccines that are most important for your horse, why proper vaccine handling and administration truly matter, and the benefits of having Equiheart as a partner in your horse's health care.

Light sedation allows us to place a speculum to hold the horse's mouth open while we perform the dental procedure. A lightweight aluminum speculum and dental halter or head stand is utilized to increase visibility of the oral cavity. There are many tools of the trade but my most important instruments are a good quality bright headlamp and dental mirror. These 2 things along with a dental explorer and dental picks allow me to perform a thorough examination of your horse's mouth, hopefully identifying issues before they become a problem.
