We typically go to another vet up in Aurora for our cat and dogs. We needed a vet for one of our rats as finding care for them can be difficult. He had gotten into a fight with his brother and his tail was in bad shape. The front office was very kind when I called, we got a same day appointment, and the vet took such gentle care with our little guy.

His tail is looking so much better! We will continue to take our rodent friends here, and would come here without hesitation for our other animals if their typical vet is not available.

One of the best animal clinics I've gone to. I exclusively schedule appointments with Dr. Starnes who does a number of things that are awesome. Not only does Dr. Starnes take the time to allow your pet to warm up to him before examining them, he also explains any findings well and takes the time to answer questions so you thoroughly understand what's going on.

Each appointment we've had has been followed up with an e-mail report so you get documentation of everything. Our dog required specialist care for an amputation, we followed Dr. Starnes recommendation and visited the specialist. He even checked her file with the specialist and reached out to see if we had any questions about what the specialist was finding!

I highly recommend this clinic for your animals, very straight-forward in how they handle care & business. This place genuinely cares about your animal and wants to see them thrive.

When it came to saying goodbye to my best friend, they were so nice and compassionate. The staff is amazing and the facilities are nice and welcoming. I will definitely recommend them as well as bring my other critters in for checkups in the future. Thanks everyone.

Dr. Wheelis and her staff were lovely with my Min Pin! Very gentle and caring towards him, and they were very knowledgeable and professional with my concerns. Definitely will be taking my pets here again in the future. Thank you guys! (And Zeke says thanks for the weeks worth of delicious treats in 30 minutes)

We've taken all of our pets to PCAC since we moved to Parker in 2014. In the time we've lived here, we sadly had to say goodbye to our 14 year old dog, and a 20 year old cat. PCAC, especially Dr. Starnes have been amazing to work with. They have always been honest with us and provided the best of care. We will continue to be loyal customers as long as we live in the area.

I have been bringing my fur baby here for almost a year now and I absolutely love them. They are warm and welcoming, and genuinely care about my cat and have worked with me to find solutions for my pets health problems. It is easy to get an appointment and Dr. Starnes is very personable and thorough with all of my concerns. Can't recommend this place enough!

I'm very happy with this vet office, they take really good care of my little old guy Duke! He was here last week for a pretty big dental procedure. I will warn you, though; they can be very expensive when it comes to dentals. I knew Duke's was going to be pretty pricey, but the final bill was even more than what I originally was expecting, so fair warning, dentals can get very expensive.

But everything they do is very good, including all the dental xrays to make sure they know what's going on and what everything looks like under the gums. Duke recovered pretty well from the anesthesia being 16 years old, which made me happy. I'm hoping he won't need as extensive of a dental as this one in the future. Overall, though, this vet is very caring and takes great care of their patients! Just be ready for higher costs depending on what your pet has done.

We have been client's here for almost 3 years and travel from Castle Rock to Parker because of the quality of care they provide. We have 3 dogs and 2 cats and would not take them anywhere else. The office staff are kind, courteous and so helpful. The environment is inviting and comfortable. The vet technician staff are all kind, friendly and obviously love working with animals and their owners.

The vets though are why we keep coming back! We work primarily with Dr. Larson who is very knowledgeable and compassionate. She has seen us with a wide variety of issues from emergencies to well visits, dental visits and surgery and also providing compassionate care at the end of a pet's life. They present all options available and answer questions thoroughly then follow through with an email summarizing the visit and recommendations. You will not be disappointed by bringing your pet here!

PCAC is always there for us for urgent visits and routine care. The vets and techs have been fantastic. One of my dogs, Sophie, gets the biggest wiggle butt when she visits. I love that they take care of their staff so that staff can take care of us. Very highly recommend!

Don't go here if you don't want your dog to be mistreated, cursed & treated like after surgery by the red-headed vet tech. Funny that it was brought to upper managements attention and the employee I guess got a hand slap, because guess who's still working there? Should've been immediate termination when there's witnesses. "Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute."

We came here in a dire time of need for our beloved Dog. This was a few years ago, but we were new to the area and I suspected something was very wrong with my dog. We got her in within a few hours and when she got there, they knew right away what was wrong. She was suffering from gastric torsion. They took her back and I can only describe her care as amazing.

The nurses kept us updated through surgery and the rest of the day while she was in recovery. They were SO compassionate with my total hysteria. We've been in several other times, and she has had a few small surgeries for mast cell tumors. They've completely removed them each time and her sutures have done great. We've called a few times with minor questions and we've gotten quick thoughtful responses!

I also feel like they are willing to offer good advice over the phone without RUSHING in for an unnecessary vet visit. I can't really speak to the prices here, I didn't shop around after our first encounter and honestly, I would pay anything to keep my fur baby healthy.

Growing up, all my family pets went to PCAC, so there was no question on which vet to choose when I got my cat a few years ago. We love going to PCAC! We see Dr. Larson and she is absolutely wonderful - I can't say enough good things about her. She is very knowledgeable, patient, and compassionate and always listens to my concerns. The staff is incredible too. They have always been friendly and responsive (and they love my cat, Lieutenant Dan!). I'm so grateful for PCAC!

Best vets ever. Worst customer service. I made a 50 minute drive to visit this vet for many years. I called to make an appointment and was treated like a number and when I didn't find that acceptable I was basically told it was my fault. Zero accountability and zero professionalism from the manager as well. Rude is an understatement. I would recommend going somewhere the customer service matches the skill level of the vet. I won't ever be coming back and hope to save anyone reading this their time and money. The one star is for the veterinarians, customer care deserves zero.

Taking our cats to the vet is always stressful: the cats cuss me out the whole way there! The staff at PCAC meets my babies where they are, acts lovingly, and advises well. I wouldn't go anywhere else!

We have been a long time clients of PCAC for almost 2 decades and are still overwhelmed by the level of personal care always shown to us and our pets. After having a very thorough, informative and lengthy discussion with Dr. Motichka recently, it was determined our little Staffy needed to go see a specialty surgeon. Dr. Motichka not only helped us make a decision on the procedure choices and gave us a list of recommendations for where to go, but he also called us to follow-up on that consultation. When our pets are ailing, it makes it just a little easier to have that extra bit of support.

I love the way they take care of our fur babies as if they were their own. Love that they understand and accommodate the complete opposite personalities of our Diego and Olivia. The Vets and staff give exemplary care and attention to both pets and parents. Would recommend in a heartbeat. Sincerely, Mom & Pop.

The staff here are very nice to my anxious/bitey dog. Dr. Larson was really kind and empathetic to my dog, and provided me a lot of education about my dog's health problems. Their pricing is very reasonable and they seem to have good availability when my dog has needed to be seen right away. I would definitely recommend them to anyone!

I took my dog here to get a second opinion on her bloodwork from my other vet. They were SO thorough and so helpful that we decided to get different tests done that are more accurate and found out exactly what the issue was. They were so helpful and kind and when the doctor called me to discuss the Results he went over everything in detail and answered every question. Unbelievable service.

Dr. Starnes and the wonderful PCAC clinic staff saved our precious senior dog's leg -- and her life -- after a surgery done by another vet clinic became infected with 3 highly resistant bacteria. PCAC gets 5 stars and hearts full of thanks from our house!

This vet is just ok. I bring my pets here for shots and anything minor and for that they are a great vet. I had a cat that I knew something was wrong with and they just told me over and over that he was fine and that he was too young for anything to be wrong (he was 6) I brought him countless times with new terrible symptoms he couldn't breath he lost his eye sight he stopped eating then I went to a specialist and was told he had a very aggressive form of nasal cancer that could have been treated had it been caught in time but I brought him here for 4 months being told he was fine.

If you think there is something seriously wrong with your pet you should go to a specialist first. I also had a dog that I thought something was seriously wrong and again was told she was fine, went to a specialist and she was diagnosed with IBD, so for a day to day vet they are okay but if you think your pet needs real help go to a specialist

Looked at my most recent receipt and noticed they charged me $40.00 just to give an allergy shot to one of my three dogs (and I give all three dogs allergy shots every three months). They charge for the vial of medicine so the cytopoint injection cost me $85.50 for a 23 pound dog and my bigger dog $197.50. Insane! This prompted me to look at previous billings and they have always charged me the fee just to give the shot.

Do you think maybe you should tell people you charge to give the shot? I am tired of the hidden fees, being up sold on services like teeth cleaning. I don't like to be up sold or over charged. Going to find a new vet.

They charged me over $500 for two rounds of puppy shots. The cost was not communicated. They completely overprice and under deliver on both service and communication.

LOOK AT THE REVIEWS/RATINGS BEFORE TAKING YOUR PET TO THE VET! This review was for an appointment last year. I posted it recently because I am usually not the type to post reviews but this particular one still pisses me off. I did not reach out to them about my concerns because I wanted nothing to do with them and I didn't think they would do anything to fix the issue.

I got a call once right after the appointment from the vet to see how Leia was doing and to see what to do for her. I told the vet that we were going home to our other vet because I wanted nothing to do with this one. Other than that, they reached out to me only to remind me to schedule appointments. I moved to Colorado for college and I have had a hard time finding vets that were as great as my old one.

I decided to try PCAC because they were close to where I lived and they got me in right away. I did not look at the reviews though which was stupid of me. I made an appointment though because my dog was consistently hacking. They got me in immediately to see Dr. Toyne. I guess I didn't realize how inexperienced this doctor was until I went back home to my old doctor and it took him 5 seconds to figure out what was wrong with my dog and I didn't have to pay anything.

She took advantage of a young, worried pet owner. I should have known better but I was worried about my dog. She ordered xrays and some other things that costed over $500! When we got the results back, she told me that my dog might have an enlarged heart/bronchitis/dog asthma or heart worm. She didn't even know what was wrong but she made it seem serious.

I was a little confused and more worried for my dog so I believed her. The one thing I realized after the appointment was that she only took my dogs heart rate. She didn't check anything else out. If she would have looked inside my dogs mouth/checked her throat because her symptoms were HACKING! She would have seen that my dog had a long soft palette and it was causing the hacking.

Which means there's nothing wrong with my dog. So at the end of the appointment my bill was over $500 because this vet wasn't doing her job. I don't know how she passed vet school but if this vet is like this then I wouldn't be surprised if other vets that work there are the same as her. Please do not take your pet here. They will take your money and misdiagnose your animal.

I have been taking my dogs to them for over 4 years now. This recent visit my shitzu had a cough. Brought her in and they put her on an antibiotic & steroids. A week later I noticed she was shaking which looked like she was in pain. I brought her back, paid another $50 to have them check her again. They were quick to tell me she needed teeth work. and it would be $2400, oh but "here is a $80 coupon".

Keep in mind she is 13 years old. Well today I was feeling her skin and found 4 bumps on her, well they were botfly larvae's! She has bumps on her skin (common with small dog) but these where bigger with holes on them! Why didn't they check her for this!?!? She had one about a year ago so it.

As a dog groomer I've tried alot of vets in the Denver metro area because I like to have person experience when recommending any place. When I moved and looked for a vet closer to home I was very pleased to. find my moms vet does exotics. The website was informative, easy to navigate, and I booked online. Availability was reasonable I was able to get an appointment first thing on the start of my two days off.

Outside its quaint, even though its right off parmer road it is quiet a peaceful. Inside was clean and quiet early in the morning. Reception staff was attentive and friendly. I was promptly put in a room. Ferrets weighed and pictures taken, all before my appointment time because I arrived about 10 minutes early. The exam and vaccinations were executed in a compassionate manner every person had a smile.

The vet discussed vaccine reactions in a manner that I could easily understand but not in a way that would make me panic. I found the pricing extremely reasonable and they were clear about it throughout. 10 out of 10 I will be back.

The actual work they do on animals is good but talk about let's see how much we can get them to come back and spend as much as humanly possible. They love animals but I think their drive for cash flow outweighs the love for animals. Paid close to 800 to put a cat down, 2k for removing my dogs tooth. Now I paid 170 for something I already knew and some meds when they said he needs to come back monthly for allergy drops in his ears. The last vet gave me drops that fixed it for 15 bucks and they want 57 dollars per month. No thanks!

This place is all about bolt on sales and don't let you know it's additional charges for every single thing. I've gone 2x now and the first time for shots was over $300. They wanted to charge $2500 for teeth cleaning and removal of a few teeth. Then the second time was for a possible eye infection and walked out paying $240. They continued to try and push me toward a pill that was no needed.

After I said no, it was mentioned 3-4 more times. I was charged $52 for a "wound cleaning" without mentioning that there was an additional fee to shave the hair around a small wound my dog had. I will be trying to find a different vet after today.

I have taken my cat here a couple times. Both times I felt like the vets were trying to make me pay for something without taking into consideration the age or life expectancy of my cat. My cat was almost 17 years old when I brought him into this vet's office. My cat was sick, lethargic. The vet said that it was because my cat's teeth had receeded into his gums and he had an infection.

I was told that I needed to extract all of my cat's teeth and this would cost $2000, but it may cost a little more, the vet wouldn't know until they started operating. I was also told that my cat has hyperthyroidism and kidney disease. I asked the vet how long my cat would be expected to live? The vet told me my cat had a year, probably.

I then asked why would I spend $2000+ to extract my cat's teeth when he only had a year to live? The vet told me that I was making the cat comfortable and giving him a better quality of life. I asked for any alternatives as I was not going to spend $2000 to get my cat's teeth extracted. The vet gave my cat an antibiotic shot. My cat is still alive, a year later, and hasn't had any issues related to his teeth.

He still eats his food, albeit soft food, but also still eats crunchy treats. He has horrid breath and someday will die but at least he didn't have to be put through a horrible surgery first.

Our 5 greyhounds and many foster greys have been clients of PCAC for 12 years and we've been pleased with every facet of the Clinic, from the front desk to the Techs and Veterinarians. Dr. Horner and Meg were so helpful and empathetic when our Jack needed to be euthanized in 2014. They truly made a difficult decision easier on the entire family with their assistance.

From injuries to routine appointments and dentals, we're happy to be part of the PCAC Family and are so appreciative of the care and dedication they extend to our CGA foster program, also!

If you like HIGH prices and a sales office this is your place. My family loves animals and we've seen several vets for 20+ years, and this is the first vet that has been ALL about the money and pushing unneeded preventatives. They try to scare you so you buy their products. My old vet was half the price and treated us like we were part of the family.

Huge difference! I will NEVER go back. An example, my cat got some rash or burn on his back and he was recently there two months ago for his annual checkup. We were charged $222.00 for that visit and they said "we did another annual exam so now you don't have to worry for another year." Why would anyone want another annual exam when it was done two months ago?

They didn't ask either. I didn't expect to pay $222 and when I was short 70.00 they looked at me as if I was some criminal when I told them I would pay them a check at the end of the week. Very rude front office ladies. Another example: My dog has a cracked tooth and we were quoted $750-$800 with anesthesia. We went to our old vet clear across town and boy did it feel like home. The EXACT procedure is $440! Need I say more.

We have been going to PCAC for 17 years. We had a lab, now passed, a now a mastiff, pug and shitzu. They are fine for everyday shots, checkups. however, my mastiff collapsed on Wed Nov 19th - we think he suffered a stroke or seizure. I called PCAC around 3 pm and said we would be bringing him to the clinic around 4:30 pm. Instead about asking any questions on his condition, they cold heartedly said "sorry we are completely booked today".

I couldn't believe it. I was crying and pleading with them to see if they could squeeze him in. They put me on hold and another person comes on the phone and tells me the same thing. "Sorry you will have to take him to the emergency clinic, we are booked". I do not like giving a small business a bad review, however, they put us under so much more stress than necessary in an already unfortunate situation.

In my opinion, they do not care about your pets on a personal level, only monetary. I experienced it first hand, and after reading all the comments on yelp, I am not the only one. We called Parker Hospital Hospital Animal clinic across the street who took him in right away. He was not even a patient of theirs. They worked on him right on the lobby floor as he was under so much stress.

They didnt care about his records being up to date, if he had his shots etc.which he was. They simply just helped him in an emergency on the spot. Without knowing what caused the stroke/seizure, they prescribed antibiotics and steroids to see if it would help. They knew we didn't want the expense of a MRI because of his age. Shame on PCAC for their heartless decision to pass off their patient in an emergency. Kudos to Parker Hospital Animal Clinic across the street for having compassion and saving my dogs life.

PCAC has become a heartless, profit-driven organization. We've been clients at this clinic for the last 10 years, entrusting the care of numerous animals with them. When I took one of my dogs in to be neutered and have his stomach tacked (to prevent bloat), I picked up a dog that had been neutered and received an emergency splenectomy because they "accidentally" nicked his spleen during the procedure.

As a result, my dog's stomach did not get tacked down. They told me I could bring him in for a subsequent surgery to have that done (which would have cost me another $800 - $1000). When I expressed my disappointment, their response was that they weren't going to charge me for the splenectomy. Really? I brought my dog in to be neutered, he ended up with a splenectomy due to incompetence. Oddly enough, I forgave them that transgression and continued to use their services.

More recently, I've noticed visits at their office aren't so much about caring for your pet, but to give you sales pitches for services that aren't really needed. I'm worried about my pet, they're worried about taking as much of my money as they can. The final straw was when my dog was diagnosed with EPI. Basically, it's like watching your dog starve to death even though he has a healthy appetite.

There isn't a cure, but the disease can be controlled by dietary supplement.a very expensive one that has to be specially ordered. They ordered the medication, it took several days to come in. I found out it had arrived around 5:00pm, so I raced from work to get there before they closed at 6:00pm. Traffic was horrible, and I got there at 6:05.

They refused to give me the medication because they had already shut the computers down. There was no negotiating with them, e.g. give me the medicine tonight, I'll come in first thing tomorrow and pay for it. I was in tears outside their office, and they wouldn't budge on the issue. PCAC has become a heartless, profit-driven organization.
