I cannot say enough about how fantastic every single person I've interacted with at East Lake Veterinary Hospital has been.

I initially called about care for a community cat, and Anna answered every question that I had and completely understood my needs and concerns! And on top of that, she was generous with her time and very kind.

When I had to bring the cat in for emergency care on a Sunday, Dr. Hille was THE ABSOLUTE BEST! He was compassionate, thorough and had good advice so that I could make informed decisions. I was so impressed by how communicative he was, despite him being the vet (not an admin or aide) working on an emergency drop-off, of a community cat, on a very busy Sunday. He was absolutely outstanding, and I would recommend him to anyone -- especially on a hard day when an animal needs medical attention.

In addition, Jackie at the front desk, Ashley in the Cat Care Center, and every other person I interacted with was professional, kind, compassionate and wonderful. I would absolutely take any pet here, any time.

Was judged by the color of my skin. Filled in an application for a puppy and they said that they would call me back after the background check. I kept calling for weeks and visiting. My background is good, I have a good job, and I have my own place, I feel like I was judged by my appearance, specifically the color of my skin. When I went to visit for the last time the puppy was adopted. I am so disappointed, next time don't judge a person by appearance. I am a good person who loves dogs and would've been a great dog mom. The Dogs deserve better.

I was recommended this Veterinary Clinic from a friend because they did a good job with her little tortoise. My cat was in need of care and my usual vet was booked. Turns out, they do all kinds of exotics, such as pigs and bunnies which is very helpful. They seemed knowledgeable and compassionate. They are not the cheapest and the not the most expensive.

They are a very clean facility. I was impressed by their overall care so I will be returning for my other household nonhuman family members. I would personally recommend this vet practice foru friends when in need.

I wish that I could give a lower rating. Point blank, they're racist. We were the first applicants for a particular dog. When we arrived the only person that actually treated us like customers was the young man showing us the dogs we were interested in adopting. No one behind the counter engaged us the entire time that we were there. When we finished the application and brought it back up to the counter the lady didn't even look us in the eye, no matter how much we tried to engage in friendly conversation.

We were told that we would be contacted within 1-2 weeks. We called every day to check the status of our application and we were told that the adoption coordinator would be in touch, which never happened. Fast forward to today.we called because we never received the call from the adoption coordinator (which was supposed to be today) and we were told that the website hadn't yet been updated, but that particular dog had been adopted.

When we asked what rubric they went by to consider for adoption, they told us they went with the applicant that they "felt" was best. Neither Our employer reference or our landlord was contacted like they said. We were never told what a specific process was in regards to considering for adopting. Everything was vague and no one gave us any clear answers at any time. I do not recommend at all, unless you're white.

Just wanted to say a big Thank you to Jay at the front desk and the doctor who took care of my cats tail! Sunday evening my cat accidentally got his tail smashed by a window so I took him to his usual vet. They turned him away because they said he was too aggressive and "they had a lot going on". His vertebrae was exposed about an inch and a half.

I was very very upset that they would just let me walk out of there as a loyal customer. So I left and googled the closest pet hospital. Thankfully East Lake was one of the first options so I called and Jay was super helpful and reassured me they could take care of my cat. We were only there for a little under 3 hours for them to check him in, look at the wound and assess the issue at hand. I am so grateful there are vet hospitals who actually care about the well being of our fur babies! Thank you again for the great experience and customer service!

This vet office was recommended by my landlord and I am so glad to be bringing my pets here. The entire staff is extremely kind, welcoming, and so caring about the animals. My dog is a senior with a lot of medical issues and everyone here takes such good care of her, even the van driver who picked her up and dropped her off when we didn't have a car was great.

The vets have taken the time to call or email me personally and answer every detailed question I have. I'm so thankful for this place and it's such a relief knowing my baby is in qualified, trustworthy, loving hands.

East Lake Cat Care Center was great throughout my adoption process, so I was more than happy to return for my veterinary needs. The staff was professional and caring. It's obvious they love the animals in their care! I will not hesitate to bring back both of my cats for any of my future needs!

Everyone was very professional and nice! They listened to what my concerns were with my pet and helped put my mind to ease. I will definitely be bringing my pets here again when needed.

Words can not express how horrible and unprofessional this clinic is. from the money-motivated owners to untrained techs, this place is a nightmare. One of my friends used to work here and told me horror stories. There's no training, the doctors neglect patients and they even had am emergency cat pass away in it's kennel because the doctor would not look at it.

The cat place next door is riddled with disease and staff who will not wash their hands or properly clean kennels, and had 30+ kittens die from disease there due to that. and the owner KNEW! All of the staff are new, INCLUDING MANAGEMENT AND THE DOCTORS. That's a MAJOR red flag. I went here while my friend was employed, and I'm glad she left. They place you in a DIRTY exam room, have someone come in after 30 minutes to question you, then the doctor will take another 30 minutes just to "examine" your pet.

They don't tell you the prices on anything, but expect you to pay upwards of $400 for a general wellness exam. They get away with it too, and consider themselves "high class". The doctor (apparently the owner) was very condescending and rude, and talked down to be the entire time. The tech there (blonde, white shirt, female) didn't seem like she knew how to even handle an animal, and kept talking to me like I was 5 and knew nothing about animals. FYI, I've owned dogs and cats for 15+ years. The reception was. okay. Don't bring your pets here. This is not a good vet.

ABSOLUTELY the worst vet I EVER encountered with. COMMUNICATION is the worst. I came today for the 1st time to have 1 puppy looked at. I checked in around 2pm finding out my puppy will need surgery. (Mind you, I have 2 pups whose experiencing the same issues, but one was being seen and the 2nd pup was at home).The ENTIRE time I was there waiting. NOT once did they check on me or give me an updated status.

I had to go to the front desk "2.5 HOURS- 4:30pm" later to ask about my pup. Not only does it stops there. The Dr gives me the worst news by telling me my puppy may have to be put down and of course, I'm in an emotional state at this point. The Dr mentions my other puppy and recommended me to bring him in and see if my he'll also need surgery. Before doing so, I expressed to her, I will rather not spent HOSPITAL fee and can take the pup to the vet in the am.

If she doesn't mind taking a peak and seeing he'll need surgery, I can bring him in. She agreed!.Welp, THATS A LIE! Because I asked her questions PERTAINING to the (DOGS) and I'm CHARGED for a 2nd exam fee. Not ONCE DID she mention it especially when I expressed to her, I can't pay that. As I'm checking out the blonde head long extension chick (vampire looking teeth) coped an attitude and rolled her eyes at me and the dude with short brown hair that sits at the front desk huffed his breathe ALL from me questioning why I'm being charged for 2 exam fee when I was TOLD by the Dr I wouldn't be.

Never AGAIN, will I return! WORST customer service and a bunch of staffs with attitudes. Will definitely make sure I inform family and friends to stay away. Oh and let me add. I was at this vet from 2pm and just leaving at its 8:48pm which shouldn't even took this long but they couldn't overlook the 2nd exam fee even though the Dr agree upon me bringing the 2nd puppy. Seems this place is money hungry and I'm so glad I don't have to use them regularly for my furbabies.

Staff are really lovely and great with animals. My only issue is that things can get really pricey. That said, if you're careful about not buying all your supplements, etc. in house, it's a great place to get good care for your animal family members.

ALL staff care deeply about the beloved pets we bring in. I have never had a negative experience here. They are not cheap, but the quality of service and concern shown are worth a lot. The facility is immaculate - I never see even a hint of poor housekeeping. They also rescue animals and can be counted on as a shelter.

We just got our puppy Peruna Sunday and she had her first vet visit Monday. It went so well we can't wait to go back for the second round of vaccs! We found our forever vet, the kindness they showed towards animals and humans was just what we were looking for. Excellent care and facility, thank you East Lake Vet!

I have been bringing my dogs to East Lake since moving to the DFW area 9 years ago, and I can't imagine going anywhere else. I no longer live close to them like I did initially, but I happily drive 45 minutes each way to keep seeing Dr Pennington and all the staff. They are responsive and kind, keeping in mind your pet's particular needs and supporting you and your pet to the fullest.

In addition to going for the vet services, my dogs have also lodged with East Lake, done day camp, and gotten baths/grooming services. Seeing their tails excitedly wagging as we pull into the parking lot, I know that I'm not the only one who loves East Lake :
