Flabbergasted by how unprofessional this establishment is. Took my dog in because he was having trouble keeping food down and couldn’t be seen by his primary vet in a pinch, we waited 2 hours in the waiting room while he had his vitals taken (owners are not allowed in the room with their pets). After that the vet came in and told us we would need X-rays and gave us an estimate of 1000, when we went to sign the contract the price range was up to $1600. We asked what the additional fees were and were told those were things that may be needed but they would consult with us before going ahead. The results of the X-rays can take several hours post procedure to come in, so we asked that afterward our dog be returned to us so he doesn’t have to wait all day in a kennel, as we had already been there 5 hours. We waited 2 hours before asking what was going on and if the procedure was finished, they apologized and said they “forgot”. At this point we decide to take our dog home and ask to be called with the results because they said it would take several more hours. 2 hours after we get home they call and tell us that we need to come in for additional treatment but refuse to tell us the results of the X-ray we paid $1000 for. Eventually they tell us we need to pay an additional $200 for a procedure we did not consent to, yet was stated in their convoluted contract. When we questioned why we couldn’t have the results over the phone they angrily told us they would send the results to our primary vet (who wasn’t Open for 2 days) and send the additional $200 bill to collections. We are shocked and appalled, and still have not received the results for the X-rays we paid $1000 for.

East End Veterinary Center has well trained staff that communicates with professionalism and compassion. Clinical and non-clinical staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The treating veterinarian was very experienced and communicated with me effectively about my pet's diagnosis and treatment. Our waiting time was short and both waiting room and exam room were clean and comfortable. Each staff member handled my pet with care and compassion. My pet received excellent clinical care. East End provides excellent quality of care promptly.

We had to put my beloved bulldog down yesterday which was very sudden and unexpected. The staff here from the doctors to the nurses to the front desk staff were so compassionate and truly cared about my family. They spoke to you like a grieving family member. I will recommend this place to anyone with a pet.

Dr. McGulgan was just fantastic. She gave us a very difficult diagnosis but did so with care and compassion. She took time to explain the issue (twice) and to outline options, but was also practical regarding the likely outcome of any action we may take. She interjected with her own personal experience regarding her pet who had suffered from a similar condition.

She showed tremendous care and patience and allowed us whatever time we and the family (through FaceTime) needed to say goodbye to our our beloved dog. She is an amazing vet and a caring human being. The staff was very efficient in getting emergency care to the dog as soon as we came in. It's worth noting that this facility saved this same dog's life when she was a 6 month old puppy who was hit by a car and was hospitalized there for a week. This is now 11 years later. We are blessed to to have these 11 years with our beloved dog and this facility was responsible. Thank you!

Everyone at East End is friendly and so kind to both animals and humans! They take very good care of my baby and we love them for it. Thank you so much to everyone! My Hugo is better. He's been there for hip surgery, water therapy (when he was 1) and a sprain. He is back to normal - hyper and happy.

We brought our 1 year old lop bunny here when we noticed a low body temperature and loss of appetite. All members of the staff that we encountered were helpful, kind and knowledgeable. All procedures were discussed and financial obligations reviewed and adjusted to match our needs and the pets needs. Our pet was brought in later in the evening and communication between the veterinarians, reception and ourselves was quick and efficient at our drop off and the multiple times we called to check in over the next few days. We are appreciative and grateful for the staff at EEVC.

We are from NYC and were AirBNBing in North Fork for a weekend. My pet had a medical emergency at 2:00 am - an allergic reaction of some sort. Google landed me at East End Vet Center. We called to say we were on our way and wanted to make sure they were open. The woman on the phone, Michelle, told me to text her a video instead of coming. SHE HUNG UP ON ME TWICE when I said we were on our way.

We ended up calling our vet in the city and were referred to Blue Pearl in Queens. I called to speak to a manager the next day to express my extreme disappointment with Michelle and East End Vet Center. We were referred to their manager Taylor, who said she could or would do nothing. All I was looking for was somebody to say that they were sorry and would speak to Michelle to find out why she hung up. I hope this isn't how they treat all pet emergencies, and I hope their customer service for a pet parent is better than what I received.

Knowledgable, helpful, friendly staff who were there when we needed them. For me, East End Veterinary Center stands out because you have Dr. Muscarella on staff. She is fabulous. I truly appreciated the excellent medical care and follow-up call two days later. Thank you all so very much.

The facility is very clean and well-lit. We were able to check in immediately and saw the vet after a short wait for processing. You have an amazing vet, Dr. Lauren Healy. She is very warm and presonable and put us at ease.

Thank you for being open 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week. I brought my dog in around 10:30 pm. I was informed that there may be a wait because of surgeries. Because of your quick response and quality of care, you saved Fiona's life. We are so grateful.

1/13/22: In response to the owners response to my review: I was not provided multiple options as stated in their response. I also called the office twice once before 4 pm and once after 9 am. Both times i was told that Margaret the Director was not available to speak with me to discuss my concerns and I could call back later. My new puppy was suffering from a bad case of kennel cough.

So I brought him to East End at around 8 P.m. I was seen by a vet for about one minute and the vet left. A nurse then came in and told me that my dog was going to die if I didn't immediately leave a $3600 deposit and let him stay at the hospital. I immediately told them that I would admit him and pay the extremely high $3600 deposit. They then came back and told me that they had no day staff And I would have to drive back in the morning and pick my dog up at 6 AM in the snowstorm.

Just to keep my dog there from 8 PM to 6 AM they wanted $1800. I asked them if they were any alternatives and any help that they could provide me if I brought him home and brought him to my own vet in the morning. They told me that my vet would just send me back there and that they weren't able to give me anything for my dog except for fluids. I asked if i could speak with the vet again.

The nurse left, talked with the vet and the vet said no she was too busy. I ended up leaving East End with no help. One vial of fluids for my puppy an anti-nausea medication and a 400 dollar bill. They didn't offer me a stronger antibiotic, they didn't offer to do any x-rays while I was there, my own vet who I ended up taking my puppy to was apalled that they told me he was going to die and upset me the way that they did.

It's almost a week later. My puppy is on a stronger antibiotic. Never needed hospitalization. Never needed oxygen or IV intervention. I will never go back there and I suggest that you don't either.

All of the staff was amazing and very attentive. They listened and worked with us to help our pup get the treatment she needed. I could feel the care and compassion they had from my girl and wanted to help her and make sure she got the care she needed. The vet and vet tech was amazing and made sure my girl would receive the care she needed.

We boarded out chocolate lab, Scout, at Chateau des Paws while we were out of town for a week. We have used the Chateau several times and have never been disappointed. Scout is always excited to see the staff at the Chateau. The staff give Scout lots of attention while we were away and communicate with us while we are away. It is very comforting to know he is in such good hands and is being cared for while we are away.

Very fortunate my dog was seen here. Everyone was so attentive and friendly starting with the front desk. I walked in scared and the nurse was sweet and fast to take my dog in. The doctor was very knowledgable and understood my financial circumstance and discussed with me all my options. They followed up with me to give me updates. But be aware, if they are at full capacity they cannot take more pets in.

I went the next day to get my dog and it took 2-3 hours for discharge. It's understandable as they are the closest to the east end. Due to them, my dog is still here with us and a happy one.

My dog was having issues at home after he was brought in for a seizure. After being told medication would be delivered the next day and wasn't, I called for help. I explained my dogs health was declining and could go get the medicine in person. I left messages with people at the front desk for the DR to please call me back. I never got any call and my dog had to be put down later that night.

I am very happy with the care my pet received at this hospital. The front office is kind, receptive, and professional. They are responsive to phone calls. The physician's are professional, intelligent and properly diagnosed my pet's illness. I had a clear understanding of what to do moving forward. I would recommend this to anyone looking for speciality or emergency care for their pet

My 11-year-old Standard Poodle was recently admitted for pneumonia caused by kennel cough. The doctors and staff were all superb - very proactive in their approach, competent and professional. They also took the time to consult with his out-of-state internist which was important due to underlying issues and they followed up with updates when promised. He came home 3 nights later. Lastly, I was also very surprised at how reasonable the bill was. Would highly recommend.

They were phenomenal in their swift and compassionate assistance today when my cat suddenly experienced health issues. We ultimately had to put him to sleep but everyone from the girls at the desk to the veterinarian herself were fantastic.

Yesterday while my dad took our puppy out for a walk he got spooked and slid out of his collar and took off running. The more my dad called him the more he ran. During the 2 hours we were looking for him a state trooper brought him back to us but he had been hit by a car. We rushed him to East End and they charged us the low end of the estimate of $2900 which my dad paid for!

They did X-rays, blood work, gave him in fluids and meds! They updated us along the way and told us he had broken his back leg in 3 places. The surgeon called us today and they estimated the surgery to around $12k. Being that there is no way we can come up with that kind of money within a couple hours we called saying we were coming to pick our puppy up to take him to a different vet!

They told us if we were facing financial difficulties to just amputate his leg for $5k. We told him we would come get him and they refunded us $300 of the $2900. Why you ask? The splint! They brought our puppy out with nothing stabilizing his leg and put him on the ground instead of handing him off to my husband! I will never in my life ever go to them or bring any of our furbabies to them!! See the pictures of what our puppy looks like!!

I took in my girl as she was in respiratory distress. Dr.Muscarello and team took great care of her. The doctor explained all procedures with an accurate estimate of costs before proceeding. I opted to leave her overnight and when I got her home the next morning she was feeling and acting 100 % better ! Ioni and I thank you for your work !

I have been using East End Veterinary Center for many years now. Every experience I have had there has been beyond exceptional. I have always felt confident in both their abilities and compassion for my much-loved pets. Most recently, my 2 year old bulldog needed a corkscrew amputation. Dr. Lombardi, and all of her supporting team, surpassed my expectations yet again. This is how care for your loved ones’ should be. I thank you all, from the bottom of my heart.

I want to thank the incredibly kind staff at your location. It was a hard decision my family had to make today. Your compassion for Magellan and my family helped to ease our minds. The doctor’s kind words for my daughter really touched my heart! Thank you for making such a sad day a little easier to get through.
