This has been an ongoing struggle and I'm not sure why it takes 2 plus months to get an appointment. I called to schedule vaccines and a medical progress check and was told that there is nothing available until August. It's June right now. My ONLY option is to do a walk-in and if you've ever done a walk-in, those take hours and I mean HOURS! This is extremely inconvenient when you work full-time. I love the doctors at DAH, but the appointment scheduling is a nightmare.

Dr McDermott and his staff at the animal hospital here are absolutely amazing! We received his information from a friend of the family and we are so grateful that she referred us to him. The hospital took him in and did the dental cleaning and blood work in a timely manner. They communicated well with me throughout the process letting me know my dogs condition and offering me options.

This was the third veterinarian that I had visited in the past couple of months and it was thousands of dollars less compared to what other people quoted me. I am so grateful that I was able to afford this treatment for my pet especially during these challenging financial times. Thank you so much doctor you have brought our dog as well as our family so much happiness and joy!

Was told I couldn't make a reservation and had to walk-in. For vaccinations. Waited 4 and 1/2 hours for 2 simple shots. I've been coming here for over 10 years but will never be back. Front desk is completely inept. Wasted an entire day off because of their unintelligence. They used to be good but avoid at any cost. I will.

I have been bringing my fur babies to this hospital for over 15 years and have almost always had to wait at least an hour even with an appointment. They are always behind schedule. And we have hardly ever seen the same Doctor twice all these years. But we kept going back. Today I called and I could not get an appointment for my dog's vaccines and they said they only book the current month and they told me I had to do the walk in which is generally a 2 to 3 hour wait.

Or I can call everyday to see if someone cancels. When I said I think it's time to look for another Vet.they didn't even care. The guy on the phone actually said "fine, where would you like me to email your animal's pet records?" Saddens me that there is not even a care that a loyal fur family would leave to go somewhere else. I wonder if the owner of the hospital even would care or notice if loyal clients leave.

Awesome place to take your loved pets! The other day I stupidly gave my dog a homemade peanut cookie that had mildew on it, and I rushed the next morning to see Dr Mc Dormant and Christopher and they were so assuring to me and helped my Rocky. I was in tears after reading how toxic mildew is to dogs, please beware about it can be fatal. Anyway I'm so thankful for these two men. And I appreciate you both! Extremely!

The staff here is amazing! My dog recently underwent surgery for a mass removal & dental cleaning. Dr Caudle went over everything before he was admitted and Korie kept me posted throughout the day. I felt that everyone here truly cares about the dogs they handle. If your pup needs surgery, call Durango Animal Hospital!

Amazing service. The staff really care about your pets. They will do everything they can to help you out. Even when it was closing time but my doggy needs meds, they let me come get a prescription refill. The vet called me to go over my dog's test results and emailed me a detailed message about what my dog's options are for care. My dog is my whole world and it's not often vets put this much effort into caring for my baby! Thank you so much Durango Animal Hospital and Staff.

2 weeks ago I came here to get one of my dogs teeth cleaned during there $150 promotion. All went smooth and my dog didn't even act like anything happened for the most part. He was up and running after a few hours. 2 teeth basically fell out during the teeth cleaning, 2 were a little loose but I asked them to leave them alone for now. Everything was very straight forward and easy.

Today I came in to bring my second dog. I don't think by boyfriend got a copy of my other dogs recent teeth cleaning so when I was attended by ----, I asked her if I could get a copy of by other recent appointment and she seemed really annoyed that I would ask. But this is after she went over all the shots I would have to do to be allowed to get my second dog's teeth cleaned.

I mentioned to her that I only wanted to do the ones that were necessary and nothing extra. She followed that by saying I needed to also get the flu shot. I told her that was one of the ones I don't want. As a dog owner, I feel I have the right to decline any extra or unnecessary treatments/procedures. She seemed immediately annoyed that I wanted to refuse it.

She told me I would have to speak to the doctor about it. Luckily I knew I would go over everything a second time since thats just the process, but the way she said it was like I had to go into the principle's office to discuss my defiant behavior. The vet tech came in and took us into a room. I went over with the doctor about what I needed done and my options.

He was super nice and totally understanding which is always a relief. By the time I was done, ----- hadn't printed me anything. I went over to the front desk and waited for her to look up. If she could have rolled her eyes I can bet money she would have. I needed to get my info updated, and then I asked a second time if she could print my records which she finally did. So, the take away here is that the front desk is hit or miss.

Part of customer service is being kind, and compassionate to the people that are coming in for help for their pets. On the other hand, all the Vet Techs that have assisted me to the rooms have been super friendly, and the two doctor's have also been top notch. Thats why I come back. Once you get through the body guards, your safe. Also, like my previous review, I've had to call repeatedly to make an appointment.

Either the phone isn't answered, but most often you're placed on hold immediately and left there. It took about 4 phone calls for someone to answer and have the time to help me set up an appointment.

I needed an animal hospital that caters to exotic animals for my desert tortoise. Durango was able to schedule and get me in the same day I called. Dr. Martinez and the staff were amazing. All my questions and concerns were addressed. I have a healthy tortoise and now a place I can trust to take him in the future.

Durango animal hospital is the best veterinarian hospital! All the doctors and techs that have helped my babies in life and end of life are the most compassionate people! Big shout out to Dr McDermott, Dr Caudle, and Vet Tech Brittany Love! They love all my babies as of they were their own! I wouldn't think of taking my babies to anyone else! Love Wyatt and Winnie!

I love this place! Best staff & doctors all around. I have a great experience every time I have come in. Unfortunately one of my first experiences was having to put my 10 year old dog to sleep and as hard as it was they made us feel as loved as possible. With a new puppy afterwards getting vaccinated and then my rescue dog (who was a mess when I got him) getting his teeth cleaned and scheduled for a neuter next. I won't go anywhere else. Highly recommend!

We recently experienced a highly stressful situation with our beloved Pomeranian who endured breathing difficulties as a part of an underlying condition which was made worse by record breaking allergies and high winds for days. He was rushed into intensive care and monitored around the clock. Dr. McDermott and his staff saved the day and stabilized him immediately.

He was kept in the hospital to make sure another episode did not take place.especially in the middle of the night. We have been patients of Dr. McDermott for 8 years now and we thank him and his capable staff for knowing exactly what to do in a crisis situation. Bob is home safe and sound! We are forever grateful.

This group is great! I had a minor emergency with my malinois and they took him in last minute. The receptionist was very understanding and got us set up quickly. We were seen within 30 min! The vet tech was extremely nice and efficient. Our pup felt comfortable right away. The vet was knowledgeable and super helpful. She put my anxiety at ease and took time to answer all of my questions. I will definitely be using this vet for all my pets! They are affordable and have clear pricing for all budgets! I highly recommend them! Thanks for fixing my pups ear!

Thank you Durango vets and staff! When they say "your babies are in good hands", they mean it. We have 5 fur babies and we always come here. Their compassion more than makes up for a long wait time when you're a walk in and just worried about your babies. 10 stars!

This is going to be a short review since I'm still very sad about my dog's passing. But I found the staff to be very respectful, the doctors very caring and thorough with their diagnosis, and the prices fair. Today I received a condolence card from the staff. Very unexpected and sweet, even though it made me cry all over again. When that time comes you don't have to worry about making and keeping an appointment.

They will take you at any time and you will not have to wait long in the lobby, no matter how many people are waiting before you. They will accommodate you during that most difficult time.

We loss our loved ones Chomper and Misty just few months apart. The staff and veterinarians always gave the best service and advise to care for our loved ones. Thank you so much for the sincere cards from the staff, touch our hearts and showed you understood how much each pet is loved by their owners. Thank you for your kindness and compassion.

I've been going to Durango Animal hospital around 18+ years and I have never been disappointed. I've had my pets vaccinated, puppies my dogs have had vaccinated, cat declawed, one of my females had a C-section, sadly my daughters Ferret put down and when my dogs passed on they helped me with this service too. The people and Veterinarians are all professional and caring. I wouldn't take my pets anywhere else.

If you have a new pet and wish to make an appointment, don't bother. I have a new Lab puppy and wished to make an appointment for Jan.13th. This rude staff member said "nope, we have no appointments available for the remainder of January. You'll have to come as a walk-in and the wait time could be lengthy." So much for great customer service.

This place is ridiculous. They are always backed up. Considering I was late for my appointment which took 3 weeks to get. But they refused to see us and told us to leave because they said the doctor REFUSED to see us anymore. If it was more than 15 mins then it would be reasonable. They are always rude up front. If we haven't been going to this place for such a long time (9 years), I will go somewhere else.

Management should look into this. It's not like they're always in time anyway. Don't even think of a walk in, they make you wait 3-4 hours. It's ridiculous. I checked in last month for surgery and it was just supposed to be a drop off but they let me wait 1 HOUR.

I have been coming to Durango animal hospital for almost 20 years with my pets. I had a scheduled procedure for my dog and even received a message confirming the appointment time from the office I took an entire day off work for this only to be told the day before that I had no appointment and they were going to move it to a week later? Good thing I called the day before the "appointment" to see if there were any special instructions before bringing my dog in only to be told they couldn't find my dogs appointment in their system.

On any other day I wouldn't mind knowing these things happen and I know they are very busy but the fact I have a confirmation, a lengthy message from the doctor a month prior breaking down the cost and details, took a day off work and the Dr. still hasn't called me back after leaving 3 messages is really so off putting and disappointing given I've been a customer for so many years.

Really really inconvenient. First exam was on November 29, second exam was on December 6. Appointment was made for January 6 at 6am. Dr. Caudle called to let me know of a deal they have while my dog was having his masses removed to clean his teeth while under anesthesia which we agreed to. Appointment was made, confirmation was sent and here I am writing this on a day I should be at my job working and a dog next to me who still has masses on him and plaque on his teeth.

I absolutely hate even writing this right now but because this issue hasn't been handled properly or even addressed or even an apology or even rescheduled, I feel I have to.

In August we had an emergency with our 11 year old shepherd. Our normal vet would not see us, we called several other vets in the area, also too busy to assist us in this emergency. We even took her to the emergency hospital and after 30 minutes waiting for a gurney to get her from the car which had been running with the AC on (it was 115 outside) we left.

We took our girl to Durango Animal Hospital and they saw us immediately. Both doctors were compassionate and kept us updated frequently. Unfortunately we lost our girl. We have a new German Shepherd pup and Durango Animal Hospital is now our go-to vet. She had her first visit recently and the service and all the staff were great. They are open all week, and because they do take in non-appointment emergencies, they may be behind. We were seen on time; however. We highly recommend Durango Animal Hospital.

Doggy hotel. I really wanted to like this place. They are conveniently located. But I should have known better. Especially a place that guilts you into doing their tier level pet care should have warned me. I think I would have understood their policies better, but the reason I had to leave my baby dog was there was a death in my family. The check in was super nice. but the checkout- not so good.

I didn't get the premier dog care- just the standard. When I arrived- they handed me my dogs collar. The didn't throw it. but. it wasn't handed to me or explained. I had to ask what happened to my dog? Is she dead? The woman said no- they just didn't allow any personal items for the care I was getting to my dog. They stripped her naked.

I think she thought I had left her for good. That collar is meaningful. Intellectually- I'll recover. Emotionally- less so. I'm actually traumatized. I lost my dad last month and then my 12 year old nephew passed last week. When they handed me the collar. and told me she wasn't allowed to have it- it really broke me. No one told me upon check in.

Then they wanted me to do more business with them by asking me to do her booster shots etc. She said it with some real authority. No reading the room. I paid for the shots she received and the boarding- but I won't be back. I drive clear across town to a doctor I like for my dog. Because he's so kind. I know they are running a business. It's like. a business of foster care.

These are people babies. I appreciate that. They just want to get people in and out. And it's really obvious. It's probably a hard job here. so I couldn't give zero stars. They are trained to do what they do. So- in that respect, they are doing what they need to.

I have taken my dog Max here and trust the staff completely. The last visit on Nov.12 we have seen Dr. Caudle, he is knowledgeable, honest and gentle with my dog. They always see me on time and can take us in at the last minute. The vet techs and front desk staff are also very great and welcoming. We have never had an issue in them in the 5 years we have been coming here.

It's pointless to write up a long explanation about this one star review seems all the 1 star reviews cover it and the ones that say stuff about their incompetence they are accurate! Their motto should be something like "if you don't care if you pet lives or dies we are the vet your looking for!" They treated our rats little life like it was just a rat and will treat your pet like it's just a whatever too. The staff can give to craps about peoples pets. You can clearly tell this is just a job for most the staff. sadly that includes the actual vets.

Have had a great experience with this vet office! I have a dog in which I rescued from a shelter! He was severely abused! Been a problem finding a vet that could handle him! They did everything I needed! Even a nail trim! Always available when I need to bring my boys in at last minute! Great office staff! Always on top of your needs!

Dear god this place is a mess. I love the doctors here and so do my dogs but the wait times are egregious and I am sure I will get a response from Dr McDermott about some excuse as to why they can not seem to manage their office but customers expect a better service. Hire more staff. Get a consultant to help with efficiency. It's obvious something is critically wrong with this office.

You all used to be the highest rated vet office in Vegas and now look at this horrendous rating. Stop making excuses and fix this. They can't seem to even keep their own scheduled appointments. On multiple appointments I have arrived early only to be seen an hour after I was scheduled. And if you are a walk in forget about it. Unless you have 5 hours to waste I would suggest going anywhere else.

Today I walked in around 1230pm and was not called into a room until 255pm. Once in the room I waited another 30 min with no communication. Finally a vet tech came in to take my pup. He whisked him away and here I wait. It has now been 20 min since he left with my dog. Still waiting.now a vet finally came in and gave me the pitch and now I wait another 20 min.

Look I understand you are busy and there are emergencies but this is my experience every time and it's not just me, Look at these reviews. This can not be a sustainable way to run this practice. Though I know nothing about veterinary science I do know what I expect as a consumer, and it's not to wait for 4 hours to get a service done. If this was an outlier experience I would not even mention it but it is EVERY TIME.

I will be looking for a new vet after this experience. I am deeply sadden by this as I have been a loyal customer since 2008 but this place can not provide a timely and effective service. Today I walked in at 1230pm walked out at 430! A 4 hour experience. I don't know how other vets operate because I have been so Loyal to this office but I can't imagine this is normal.

And I hope you take these dissatisfied reviews to heart. This needs to be a wake up call. Save your business before it's too late. Sure you are busy as hell but you will not be able to keep all those customers returning if you can't get them out in a timely manner. I am a customer of 13 years and I will Not be returning. In short if you need a vet they have great vets here but it will be a whole days ordeal and you are most likely better off going somewhere else where they value your time and don't leave you in the dark twiddling your thumbs in the examination. If you need to come to this office just know this is what you are doing for the day, and I mean all day.

I used to love this place so much that didn't care the 30 min drive with an English Bulldog with breathing issues in the middle of the summer in Vegas. But my last visit I had to wait 3 hours that's insane, everyone in that place was concerned about her breathing except for the people who worked there, I know I didn't have an appointment but was I never told I was going to be waiting for about 3-4 hours.

I left without being seen and on my way home Bella almost died in the car because of the heat and the fact of being there without eating or drinking water due to her anxiety. What a horrible experience, they never cared about what happened to us I called them on my way home to scheduled an appointment and was placed on hold for about 10 min I think and when they answered I was in the middle of the freeway and Bella was barely breathing, I told them I can't speak right now Bella is not breathing, they just hung up the phone and never follow up on her.

I found another Vet closer to our home. Due to my horrible experience I can not recommend them if you live close and don't mind the 3-4 hours wait Dr Caudle is awesome the best in that Animal Hospital

The didn't diagnose the hypertension on my 16 years old cat so he got blind! If they have had the basic and logical idea ( specially on a senior cat ) of checking his blood pressure on time he wouldn't have lost his vision. And I even took him for a complete blood panel! And a lot of times for fluids treatment. Could have been prevented with medication on time but not they are unprofessional!

And wrote an email to the doctor and to the hospital and never heard back from them, of course nothing to say about it! Just show how they don't really care about the pets they are just clients. Do yourself a favor a look for a good place for your cat

No consideration and not friendly When we go out of town, we always call this place to board our 2 dogs. Lately, this place has no problem making you wait 1-2 hours, of course with no apologies whatsoever, but when you are there exactly 1 minute late from your pick up time, they'll charge you $ 50.00 / Fifty dollars. That's what happened to us. On October 15, 2021 we dropped off our 2 dogs for boarding and scheduled to be picked up on October 17, 2021 at 4:00 PM.

We tried our very best to get there before 4:00 PM, even called them that we will be there at 4 PM, the most 4:01 PM, they didn't care and charge us $ 50.00. What kind of business does this. I'm pretty sure this employee or business never been late 1 minute in their life.

Expectations met -above and beyond, highly recommend this vet! They provide detailed financial options and they are very affordable. The two doctors I've met here are both compassionate, skilled and very respectful. There are potty areas outside, they open super early and have emergency after hours, allow owners inside and always answer the phone. Sounds like basic stuff but some vets lack that!

There is also a pet hotel attached which shows how well they know what pet owners need. They take a few credit cards, cash and debit but not CareCredit, so make sure to check with them to assure they accept your payment options. Dog 1: August 2021- My 13yr old dog with Cushings was passing and my regular vet was closed so I rushed her here. They took us in immediately to a private clean room and the doctor was so compassionate and skilled.

As we put her down the doctor was on the floor with me and checked her heart 3x to assure me she wasn't in pain. They arranged a beautiful private cremation and the entire visit was respectable and affordable. I can't thank them enough for helping with such a painful day, I don't think any other place could have done better! Dog 2: September 2021 My new puppy got injured and they were very though with treatment options and cost.

The doctor called me within a few hours with a detailed X-ray report from the private tech. The follow up was included in first visit cost and I feel very confident in the treatment here. I will only utilize this vet from now on! I had been using a vet on Rainbow for 9yrs that I wasn't thrilled with and when I needed them they were closed, which is how I found this place. Now I won't go anywhere else but here and I recommend it to everyone.

First off I want to clarify that I've always had excellent veterinary services at Durango and absolutely love Dr. Caudle. He's amazing. Now let's get to the problem. I am writing this as I am on hold waiting to talk after having been called and a message left. I am at 36:46 minutes right now holding. How does anyone think that is proper for any business?

Please fix your call staff/get more/get a new system.whatever it takes. This is absolutely ridiculous. I've loved you guys for years but am seriously considering moving vets just because the office has become unmanageable to get ahold of. The first time I called that the return call was for I held for over 20 minutes and was supposed to get a return call on Monday.it's Wednesday. Dr McDermott.you need to figure out what kind of business you are running and then find a fix because if you don't, you won't have a business no matter how great the doctors are. And for the record.at 41 minutes and still on hold. Ultimately it was 45 minutes for a 2 minute conversation. Please figure out how to fix this.

Walk-in appointment and wait a long time.6:30-9:30AM I Totally understand because I'm a walk-in customer. And my cat is not a emergency case, I love this location so much I was at this location almost 10 years! My dog had a teeth cleaning last month, they did a good job. Thank you for for everyone, I was with different doctor before, Dr McDermott, Dr Preyer both are amazing!

Today Dr Martinez was taking care of my cats -I really appreciate her!she's very professional, I feel very comfortable after I talked to her, will follow up with her after 2 weeks. Thank you Durango animals hospital.

I have thought for several months about posting this.so I finally decided too. I had my dog out down, very old lab, in April. Vet took him to the back to put in an IV.I wanted to come but he would t let me. Finally brings my dog back and he is not liking the vet at all and acted fearful. Makes me very angry that if the last 20 min of my best friends life 10 were in fear and I couldn't be present for him to put a catheter in.

This place used to be good but now it's not. To get an appointment it's 6 to 8 weeks out. If you come in as a walk-in, which they accept, you can be waiting up to 3 to 4 hours. That's happened to me several times. I came in this Sunday as a walk-in and I literally was the only one there, and I still had to wait almost an hour to be seen for simple vaccination. Additionally, each time I ask them to cut my dogs nails, they clip the quick.

This is even after I'm very careful to mention to be conservative and to not cut too short. The check-in staff is rude and uncaring. After coming here with my dog for several years and spending several thousands of dollars here, this is the last straw. I will definitely be going elsewhere. The owners only respond to the positive reviews and virtually ignore the issues that they're having that are contributing to their downfall as a once well-respected veterinary clinic. Terrible service. All you have to do is read the reviews. I will say that the doctors are all good if you ever can get in to see one.

We have been taking our babies here for almost 5 years and what happened the other night will always keep me going there. One of our "kids", fur missle #2 ingested something. There was an odor in the house that I hadn't smelled in a couple years. A couple years ago, Fur Missle #1 ate some Birds of Paradise flowers and made his GI tract extremely. inflamed.

It was 553pm and I made it there by 558pm and I was on the phone with one of the vet techs. Now she could have said "Sorry we're closed" but she didn't. I checked in with 2 minutes to spare. They took us in and treated Fur Missle #2 with an overnight visit. Durango Animal Hospital, their team cares and this case it showed. I cannot thank this hospital, this staff, this team enough and how grateful I am.

The kind and caring staff at this pet hospital are all working so hard for us all, and they do it with kindness and grace. We had a situation that no local vet could care for on a Saturday and kept calling further and further out. The workers at Durango were able and willing. After a nearly two hour drive to get to them, we found out they had been rushed with a number of emergency surgeries. DVM McDermottt took us in anyway and stayed late caring for our needs.

Everyone we met there had incredible compassion and kindness. Would recommend them to anyone! Thank you to the staff of Durango for working so hard for us and our beloved fur babies, especially during this time of the pandemic. You are truly on the front line constantly exposed to wiggly animals and we cannot thank you enough for your services!

Dr. Martinez was fantastic with my Bearded Dragon tail amputation. I really liked her.

My experience with Dr. Mcdermott as a new patient for my Doberman was good. But the entire appointment was a waste of time. They charged me for a fecal sample that they never did. Never got a call about it, but was charged for it. Threw away over $100 dollars on a service I never received. I called again today to make another appointment for my dog.

I mentioned I never received the results for my dogs fecal sample when trying to make a new appointment. Nothing was said about that in response over the phone. Unfortunately I'll be taking my dogs elsewhere.

I think k the service is great, but the whole waiting list was absolute disaster/waste of time. The wait list tells you nothing from how long you will wait. I got here at 10:30, and was 11 in the list. The first 2-3 dogs took like 1 hour each, then the 6-7 dog took 10 to 15 minutes each and then the last dog before me took almost 1 hour. I waited almost 5 hours, but recieved no headssup. If they would have told me, that I was looking at spending 4+ hours waiting, I would have gone home with my dogs and then come back.

Very disappointed. I used to bring my previous pets here so decided to stick with it. I had an overdue appointment for my pups vaccines, earliest appointment they had available was 3 weeks out! I got here 4-5 minutes late before realizing I had to call the front desk. I was immediately put on hold for 30 minutes. when they got back on the phone they informed me they had to put me down as a walk in because I was late to my appointment.

I was late 4 minutes and have been on hold for 30 minutes and now I have to wait even longer as a walk in?! My appointment was at 1:15 and it's now 3:10 and still waiting in my car. I called the vet across the street with better reviews and was actually able to get scheduled right away.

This place is a total rip off! We had 2 of our dogs fixed a week apart & it cost us $330! Have you ever hear of such a thing, considering it only costs $85 to fix them! They said b4 we can do surgery, they need to be up on their shots! 1st of all, the only shot required by law is rabies! Our dogs are NEVER around other dogs, but the doctor said bc he has other animals in cages, he requires every dog that comes in there to be be up on their shots.sounds like a racket to me!

And to top it off, he didn't ASK us if we wanted to give our dog an Influenza shot, he also said that was required & it comes in 2 parts.1st one that day, then you have to come back in 2 weeks & get the 2nd shot & its $32 each time! $64 for a flu shot? Are you kidding me? We never took either one back for the 2nd shot bc that was bunch of horse shit in the 1st place!

I love how they like to spend YOUR money! Have you ever heard of over vaccinating? That's what their doing. Then we get charged $12 for DA2P vaccine which is supposed to be a 5 in 1 vaccine, $12 for parvovirus which is in DA2P, & parainfluenza is also in DA2P, which isn't that the same thing as canine influenza, just worded a little different?

And the icing on the cake.she's 9 years old! She doesn't need all those vaccines. TRUE RIPOFF! TAKE YOUR BABIES SOMEPLACE ELSE.DO NOT USE DURANGO AMIMAL HOSPITAL! Very disappointed with all this overcharging. This would be like taking your car to a garage for an oil change, & they tell you in order for us to change your oil, we require that you do the 30/60/90,000 mile check up 1st before we can change your oil, so yo do it cause you need your oil changed. He put us on the same situation cause we needed our dog fixed!

Do NOT waste your time! They are awful with communication. Had an Appt for over a month. Arrived 15 minutes prior to check in and drop off. Waited for 45 minutes outside with no communication, no help, no service. Finally walked away and now over an hour late for work to have to drop our puppy back at the house. DO NOT GO HERE. Absolutely the worst service and no respect for others.

After a referral from a former colleague, I decided to come here to get my older dog here for teeth cleaning. Aki's previous vet told us that his teeth were horrible and pretty much wanted 6 teeth out. Of course we let them clean his teeth last year and just take out 2 teeth that were cracked. The con: there's a love hate relationship with time and call hold.

Every time I've called I've had to wait at least 10 minutes or more to speak to someone. But you know, none of that matters to me because I just want to make sure my pet is taken care of. So a year passes from previous vet and I just came here because I just thought the previous vet was being sketchy. The vet did a check up of Aki and then got his teeth cleaned out.

He said his teeth weren't that bad and he didn't need any extractions. Wow! Now it made me wonder if previous vet needed to really take out the two "cracked" teeth. Anyways, Aki projectile puked a few hours after I took him home. He didn't eat or drink anything either. The staff immediately offered overnight stay for him if he continued to vomit.

But luckily it was just once. It just really scared me because he's never just tried to speak and then puked instead. But I am happy because they were honest with me and Aki seemed to really like his vet. He went right up to him. Sniffed him and was immediately affectionate. Since he's so terrified at the vet it surprised me that he took a liking to him. I'm coming here from now on!

INCOMPETENT AND DISHONEST DO NOT bring your dogs here a minor intervention will translate to a nightmare. Read and be warned. I came here to neuter my German Shepard named Hans. Should've been a simple procedure but Dr. Preyer suggested a "scrotal ablation" an additional procedure he said would help my pet in the long run and one that he was not experienced enough to practice. Evidenced by the fact that he did not leave enough tissue for the wound to properly close (this malpractice was later verified with whom tended to my dogs recovery and I have paperwork on it) 24 hrs later my dogs stitches opened up since it wasn't only wrongfully executed, but the cone they gave us was to small.

I went back with my dog, wound open and bleeding. The first remark they made was that the "cone was to small for him" to which I inquired why they gave it to us in the first place. Later came Dr. Meyer since Preyer wasn't there she said she would have to staple my dog. They stapled him, changed the cone and failed to tell me that the wound was also infected.we where sent home this way with double the medication and still being billed for their nonsense.

When I tried to ask about the director or doctor in charge no one came out. 3 hrs later the staples came off. It was too late to go back there now ( not that we trusted them anyway) and the only open hospital was EMERGENCY VET CLINIC they did a great job, letting me know the wound was infected and there was no use closing it, it had to drain. They gave us more medication and we where sent back home to a puppy in pain, moaning and suffering.

After day 3 he stabilized under another vets care I never came back here but, what should've been a 5 day recovery turned into a month long nightmare that not only costed a pretty penny but also put my dog through a world of suffering. I never heard from this hospital again nor they followed up with their mess. Hopefully this saves someone from and ordeal like ours, there's caring and competent teams of vets in the Valley, just not in here. These butchers are just trying to make a quick buck. They have been reported to the AVMA but results are not made public so be warned.

I hate to do this because i like the veterinarians here and I can understand COVID has put a lot of restrictions and such in place, but waiting 2 hours and haven't heard anything regarding being seen is really not ideal. Especially when I see cars coming and going with their pets. If it for nail trims fine but still don't see how that can take precedence over a sick animal. 17 year old cat, with diarrhea waiting in the car, as if that wasn't already stressful on him. Sorry but not worth the continuous wait, left and made an appointment with a different vet, same day.
