Dr. Gross grew up in Pittsburgh, PA. After graduating from Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine, she moved to Washington DC. She completed an internship at Friendship Hospital for Animals. After completing the internship she stayed on as a staff veterinarian there. She worked as a relief veterinarian throughout the DC area after leaving FHA, but has been established as a full time veterinarian here since 2007. She is our Medical Director at UVC. She lives with her husband Ry, daughter Matilda, son Leo, dog Rooney and cat Sparkles.
Union Veterinary Clinic has a fully stocked pharmacy of prescription and over-the-counter medications. Please give our staff 48 hours when requesting a refill. We will do our best to make your prescription available as soon as needed. Please allow extra time to order special medications. We are also happy to approve medications from most online pharmacies. However, if you are ordering medications through 1-800-Pet Meds.com, please be advised that Union Veterinary Clinic does not approve requests from this pharmacy at this time.
Untreated or ineffectively treated dental disease can rob your pet of years of quality life. That's why it is so important that your pet receives regular, high quality dental care. We offer many preventative dental products over the counter such as pet tooth brushes, toothpaste, dental rinses and dental chew treats designed to break down tartar. These products may help prolong the time in between necessary dental cleanings. Union Veterinary Clinic performs dental cleanings and tooth extractions Monday - Thursday.
We also provide medical boarding for those kitties that may require a little extra tender loving care (such as oral medication, insulin, or fluids.) You can rest assured that all of your pet's medical needs will be taken care of while you're away. Any cat who is boarding at Union Veterinary Clinic must be a current patient (examined within the past 12 months) and up to date on all vaccines, unless a veterinarian has discontinued them due to age or health reasons. If your pet is due for vaccines during their boarding stay, they will be updated by one of our veterinarians.
