Established in 1996, Dowlen Road Veterinary Center has been a long standing clinic in the Golden Triangle animal care community. Dr. Hurych bought the clinic in December of 2020, after working as an Associate Veterinarian there for the last 7 years. Our remarkable team of professionals strives to provide each client with the highest-quality pet care while working with each individual's budget. I've been on the floor with a dying baby, it was too much to get him on the table and they brought us a blanket, Dr.

More than a million pets in the United States have a heartworm infestation. But heartworm disease is PREVENTABLE. Let that sink in, because it is one of the most horrible statistics regarding our furry friends. In companion animals, heartworm disease is diagnosed mainly in dogs and, less frequently, in cats and ferrets.

Wow oh wow is all i have to say about this place. Dropped my dog at 8am and its after 5pm and still no dog. What can possibly take so long to get groomed? Then had the nerves to ask if he can stay overnight? These people are a joke. I would rather do it myself than to ever go back to this place ran by sloths. If you have any plans stay clear away from this place! 3 years later from telling myself i would never go to this vet ever again, i give them a shot because my new puppies breeder was dealing with them previously before i bought him.

This time i felt robbed Went to get my puppy a vaccine shot and we never left the front lobby. There was no talking to me about him, there was no questions about him. It was only them giving him a shot at the front desk and me paying 80 bucks. Why am i being charged 80 dollars for something that i can do myself for 15 dollars from the feed store? I was literally in there 2 minutes tops. You guys will never receive a dime from me ever again!

My dog went to this clinic for the first time yesterday to have her teeth cleaned, now she has kennel cough. Asked the doctor about this and they brushed it off. Very rude staff.

I need to know more on spaying and fighting siblings. I'm getting bit among them tearing each other apart. Is this a spay issue r do I need to hire a dog trainer. This is hurting my soul cause getting rid of them is not an option. If I spay them n the fighting does not cease I need a good inexpensive trainer to come to my home. I have bought basket muzzles n dog crates and now they separated. I need my hands

This place used to be great which is why I usually drive am hour to use them. Unfortunately in the last year, the staff has become rude when you ask questions and everytime you bring an animal in your waiting for over an hour just to be seen.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I just got word that when Maddy was cremated (which is what I brought her in for). Evidently her collar and tags was on as well. This bothers me. I didn't think to take my baby's collar off when I handed her over to y'all. That tells me that y'all cremated her with it on. I am not doing real well with any of this when I just buried my Momma a week ago and I told y'all that when Maddy passed and y'all didn't even take it off. What I was told was that y'all didn't notice her collar on her. Y'all BEST find my baby's collar and her tags best not be fried from her being. cremated

I made an appointment for my dog 2 weeks prior for 9/25 at 9:30 am. Since I work full time and live 30 minutes away I am only available Saturday. I received a text the day before on Friday, 9/24 to confirm my appointment for the next day.in which I did. I show up to Dowlen Road vet on 9/25 at 9:30 for my dogs appointment. The lady at the front was very rude and said I'm not in the system for that day and my appointment was for 10/9.

I showed her the confirmation text that I received and she said well you're not in here. and went to check with the vet I guess to see if they could squeeze my dog in. It was just his yearly shots.nothing crazy. She comes back after about 5 minutes and says sorry we can't take you but you can wait. it'll be a while. they had no one waiting and one person signing in with their little dog.

I wasn't going to spend my whole entire morning at the vet so I told her I can't wait and also to cancel the appointment they had for me. I won't be using them again. Their customer service was awful, their prices have gone up significantly and they didn't even apologize for the inconvenience.

We have been bringing Naya here since she was a puppy. She got her spay done here, too (which healed very quickly and was a fair price!). Most importantly, the vet techs/staff are incredibly kind and patient with my dog, who is a little wimpy. They take the time to soothe the pup and allowed us to be close as they administered the vaccines! We are moving so unfortunately this would be our last visit, but Dowlen Road Vet Center has certainly set high expectations for our next vet :-)

EDIT: they were also amazing with my chameleon. They aren't exotic pet vets but definitely great for check ups and can call and get info from a great vet in Houston. Mine just needed a fecal test and exam and I definitely recommend for that. Great prices and staff, I've had 3 of my dogs neutered and spayed there

They have been our vet for years. My pupper went in today for her first salon day with Wendy and she is beautiful and happy! Price was very reasonable, too.
