Choosing this clinic was the biggest mistake of my life. I have often used it for my dog's emergencies and until now, apart from long waits for no reason, there had been no major problems. Yesterday morning I went here because my 16-year-old dog suffering from several conditions was having respiratory problems. After an hour and a half I make the payment 2,500 for a level 4 hospitalization, they tell me that I can go and come back to pick her up in the evening. The dog came in with severe dyspnea, and the only thing they were able to do was to give her an anti nausea in two hours and half. When I left the clinic, after 10 min, while on Uber they call me to say my dog was dead. She arrived in alive, came out dead. Evidently the dog was in serious condition, why wasn't I told? Because Dr. Ocando did not do his job. Because they underestimated the critical condition of my sweet dog. They told me I could leave, if I had known the situation was serious I would have stayed. After 16 years together, my dog died alone, without having a chance to say goodbye each other. That said, really insensitive staff. The nurse came into the room right away asking for money for cremation.

Thank god for this place. I brought my English bulldog after every other vet was closed when she began to have head tremors and cough really badly. They were completely overwhelmed when I walked in, but 2 different vet techs came to check out my baby. The wait was very long (about 3 hrs) but the vet that night (Dr. Keith I believe) was very thorough and talked me through everything in detail. He was responsive when she started tremoring again and immediately changed her recovery plan. She stayed the night there and Dr. Vazquez was extremely helpful and diligent the next day and happily took two phone calls from me even though they were busy. Don’t get me wrong, with a walk in you will probably wait for a while. The care is expensive as well (I’m looking at thousands of dollars) but I do truly think she’s in the best care and they ran a lot of tests on her.

I don't recommend this place at all!
They care only about money, i took my cat as fell from the balcony, had to pay up front $850, i knew he had paw fracture and his mandible was twisted so i thought it was dislocated. They said he needed surgery with a specialist, and pretended me to leave my cat overnight only with the cost of $1800. The specialist appointment for the surgery was apart, only $250 and after they could give the estimate fo the surgery. As i was not going to leave his there the night they gave him a sedative to cast his paw meanwhile, and told me they were going to do the mandible xray when he was asleep, and the answer from the doctor was he did it and no fracture. I am glad i didn't go back there for surgery, and by the way it was not true they did the xray of the mandible. So the expense for the emergency visit, the x-ray of the paw, the medicine, the sedative and the cast was $770, there was not included the blood test either. Very bad service. This emergency clinics is all about business and money, this is not good as our pets are part of our family and deserve much better. This place should be closed!!!!

After going to another clinic that basically was not looking for the cause of my baby being sick or even doing the right test or giving medication, I was recommended to come here. Within minutes of being there they ran the correct test, gave me a diagnosis as well as medication and a reasonable price. This will be the only VET hospital we will ever go to and I will recommend them to anyone. Thank you for treating my baby with the care she deserves to get better and for being so knowledgeable and professional.

First of all I would like to say this place is horrible words cannot even explain how bad this place is, I recommend people to actually read reviews before going there. I read them but I had no choice so I decided to try out my luck and go. My dog was not feeling well, he had been vomiting and in one of the vomits he had blood. This place stole my money, treated me bad, did not show humanity over my dog and I, and literally tried to charge me for things the dog did not need. I honestly hope if you care about your dog not to take him there. You won't solve your problem and will lose money. this place deserves to close.

Today is the last time I come to this place. Had an appointment at 12:30 and it took them over an hour and several calls from me for them to pick up and register my pet. It is sad because I've been coming to this place for the past 4 years and it used to be excellent. NOT THE FIRST TIME THIS HAPPENS. They always blame some sort of emergency for the delay but they never tell you it's going to be longer when you arrive.

I think they take in too many clients and appointments. Service is horrible - nobody knows what the other employee is doing and they shift blame - it's always somebody else's fault Excuses Excuses Excuses

This place is an absolute DISGRACE. Don't bring your pets here. My 16 year 9 month old poodle was dying. She was having seizures. I brought her so the could put her to rest and end her pain. These people had the AUDACITY to ask for $850 dollars to see if they "could revive her". They could care less about my pet. All they wanted was $$$ I told them NO.

I was going to take her to another place. These CROOKS did everything they could to make my pet and my life MISERABLE. Even though the dog was not treated there they said they had to complete the process to release my dog, deliberately obstructing and delaying the return of my dog for 1hour and 45 minutes. I was so mad. These are scammers trying to raise money under the pretext they are helping pets. Do yourself a favor! If you truly love your pet, take it some place else. Don't waste your money in this money hunger rip-off place.

DO NOT GO HERE! They literally STOLE my money I went in for my dog to get blood work done and they told me it was going to be around $300 which I verbally approved and once the bill came they has charged me $737 without my knowledge and would not give me my money they overcharged me back. they are extremely unprofessional and when I spoke with the vet (she was Brazilian) I asked why she did x-rays and scans without my permission, she SCREAMED at me for accusing her of things. they are 100% scammers and I do not recommend this place. do not go here!

Our 9 week old puppy hurt her leg so we rushed her here on a Sunday morning. The whole staff was very kind, attentive, and reassuring. Hopefully we don't have to come back, but if we have another emergency, we will definitely use this pet hospital again.

Last week I came here because my 15 year old shih tzu had a severe seizure - he was dying but this clinic was trying to make money from this situation. When I arrived, the first thing they asked for was a $850 deposit and told me they needed to run tests before even considering euthanasia. We were so vulnerable and our main concern was that he was in pain and suffering, we would have done anything for him, so we agreed and left him there. Currently, they don't let people inside the clinic, people have to wait inside their cars for someone to come out to help them, so we decided to leave. 4 hours passed and we had no news so we called and they told us that he was suffering from epilepsy but that he needed to see a neurologist and that more tests had to be done.

We decided to pick it up because we felt something was wrong. When we arrived, we had to wait about 45 minutes for someone to finally come to our car, then another 30 minutes to get the bill (Whose total cost was $945! What a scam, he did not even get see the neurologist) and after making the payment we had to wait an additional hour to finally get our pet back.

When we saw him we were devastated, he was completely paralyzed and it was clear he was in pain and that he was dying. We took him home and contacted the "pet doctor at home". A vet came to our home and she told us that it was clearly time to let him go. They were amazing. They helped us say goodbye to our baby. Unfortunately, yelp doesn't give you the option to leave 0 stars. There are a lot of options to take your pet, DO NOT come here at all costs.

AWFUL PLACE! PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET THERE! They misdiagnosed my dog's condition and have not helped her one bit! After three visits and hundreds of dollars later, my poor little baby is still vomiting up white foam for over three weeks now. She can't keep down any food, she's lost significant weight, life-threatening! I had to take her to another animal hospital, which confirmed that Doral Centre completely ignored most of her symptoms.

She is now in ICU! Stay far, far away from Doral Centre. Not only are they incompetent, the members of the management team are rude, disrespectful, uncaring, and have no empathy. AWFUL, AWFUL, AWFUL!

I am absolutely happy to have found them under the unexpected situation. I called two places before but nothing. When I got an answer I will admit I was a little freaked out but the girl who helped me - Crystal completely disarmed me - grateful! I was able to give the proper instructions to the people taking care of the dog as everything was going on.

She knew it was an emergency and was told me we got you just get to the clinic. On point, spot on, good pricing, mind you no insurance. It was heaven sent! Thank uou guys for following through on your word. There are other employees by the name of Eric and Jesse who were wonderfuk! Thank you guys so much! Know you will be taken care of here with completely honesty! Thank you guys! The Hernandez family thanks you on behalf of Sophie the toy poodle! Poor baby that ingested Marijuana And THEY IMMEDIATELY KNEW!

After an hour in a half wait at midnight I was told to go see my primary vet for my dog. What ridiculous service. I wouldn't have been at the place if it wasn't an emergency. No doctor or tech had the courtesy to come check him out before getting a phone a call pretty much telling me my dogs emergency wasn't important. I can go see his vet in the morning. So much for caring about animals. And billing you thousands of dollars.

My brother took his cat for potential blockage. They did not do appropriate treatment for said issues. We Have been trying to reach them multiple times calls and emails, and their medical director has yet to respond to medical questions regarding the case. We await the answers and are not going to let it go. Took over 7 days to get the actual records and the poor cat had to see another vet the following day. The pets name is Oat. You have the corresponding client info.

This practice is very reliable and have very nice people working there. The are kind and professional. I have taken my dog Lupe there a few times through the emergency and they have always immediately taken care of her. Monday I had to take her again for an emergency, they kept her 24 hrs and kept me in the loop on her condition and on her recovery.

I have to give a big thanks to Emelyn who was so kind and sensitive to my anxiety about Lupe being sick. She sent me videos and pictures of Lupe as she ate and recovered. Ashley Lopez was the one that admitted Lupe late at night. She was also very patient with me and helped me through the process. The doctors that saw Lupe were very knowledgeable and took the time to explain to me the issue and the plan. Dr. Gutierrez spoke with me several times and did not rushed me. He took the time to answer all my questions and concerns and explained in detail the issue with Lupe and the plan to help her recover. I recommend Doral Centre.

Changing my review to 4 stars had a long back story they did very well today with my kitty Rose a little expensive but then again they're open 24 hours even if they have short staff due to Covid or illness which is understandable. Appreciate the help and service Monica is great as well.

My cat was misdiagnosed on Christmas Eve. He had a urinary obstruction and was not treated accordingly. The cat was not given narcotic level pain medication like buprinex or other. No records have been provided except the blood-work. onsior is not sufficient pain management for an obstructed feline. No gabapentin was sent home. My sister is a veterinarian and very familiar with assessment and treatment of urinary obstructions this case was not handled appropriately. Lastly, the veterinarian who worked on the case is not listed anywhere online.

I did find her license number, which at least indicates she has a currently active license. I would like to be contacted to address my cats care and excess charges. He is now at another hospital, receiving appropriate care. This new hospital found the blockage in 10 minutes after Doral had him X-rayed and sedated just to send him home.

So happy I decided to bring my Frenchie Phoebe here. They took great care of her overnight and Itzel the patient care coordinator made me feel so safe and comfortable leaving my poor baby with them overnight. They kept me updated with updates all night. This was truly a VIP special service. A special shout-out thank you to Dr. Alexis Vega and the receptionist Barbie Hernandez who attended me and all the staff working that night. Truly appreciate it!

Took my dog over to this Hospital and ended up paying more than I would have liked, but the truth is that any kind of medicine is unpredictable. I had two receptionists makes me feel comfortable and understood through my first visit: Michelle and Natalie. When I went for my recheck, I was met with Michelle once again and it was as though I was meeting up with an old friend.

This hospital has a wonderful reception staff, and the doctors and technicians staff are not any different. This clinic is amazing for dealing with the amount of emergencies they get. Im leaving this here to give them the credit they deserve!

Dr Vega is the best Veterinarian there is! She handled our dogs end of life in the best way possible with compassion and consoling services for my mom and I. She ensured he didn't suffer and that we felt comfortable with our decision. Send your dogs to her!

DO NOT BRING YOUR PET HERE! My kitty was in rough shape. He was barely moving and severely ill. I got there at 5:30pm, and he wasn't seen until 9pm. There was a male nurse who came out to my car and asked me a few questions. He never checked my cat to see his condition. After asking how much longer it would take, his verbatim reply was, "well, your cat is breathing, so it's not an emergency!".

This man was extremely rude and was practically yelling at me. I understand if an animal comes in bleeding they get seen right away but my cat was doing really bad. I almost lost him because of these people. It wasn't until I asked for managers and threw a fit that they finally took him in. When our animals are sick, we are their only voice to get them help.

I begged for someone to take a look at my cat and no one did. The staff is very passive and lacking in professionalism, courtesy and empathy. This place has an awful system to determine the condition of an animal. Do your pet a favor and go to another hospital. I never leave negative reviews but I had to because my cat almost died here. I don't want this to happen to anyone else.

The doctor was however, very apologetic but no one else cared. This place needs new staff who actually care for animals, instead of their uber eats arriving on time (which was literally happening as I was waiting). I left at midnight that day with a $500 bill and zero help. What an embarrassment of an establishment. This is NOT A HOSPITAL!

I have had great experiences with Doral Centre Animal Hospital. My dogs Dexter and Duke have both had to have emergency vet visits for stomach bugs and Dr. Cabeza caught a heart Murmur and high blood pressure on my elderly dog Dexter. She put him on the correct medication and my dog is doing wonderfully now. Thank you team at Doral Centre animal hospital.

Thank you so much to everyone who works here. My 16 year old cat Pelusa woke up feeling extremely sick. I knew most likely her time had come. When the vet confirmed, they were extremely nice and caring to the fact that my cats life was coming to an end. The vet was caring and let us be in the room for Pelusa's final moments. Once again thank you

Amazing doctors, staff, we took in our 3 month old kitty who was sick, they told us what she had, gave us the medication and how to give to the kitty, told us everything, payment plan if needed and gave us options of treatment before anything was done to the cat. Which I appreciate a lot, I wanna thank every staff member for the amazing care and love they gave for animals *Kitty wasn't eating when we took her in (first pic) and the next day she was eating again, the second two pictures is the following 2-4 days

PRICE GOUGING AT DORAL CENTER ANIMAL HOSPITAL I am a long-time client of Doral Center Animal Hospital. My dog has been their patient since she was born, and she is now 12 years old. I used to visit them when they had an office on NW 41 street in Doral and have seen their practice grow from a quaint small two room clinic to a world-class 24-hour emergency hospital and boarding hotel. It's been about six months since I last went to their clinic.

Today I called to inquire about making an appointment for this evening and was beyond horrified to hear about their new business practice. The first issue is that I have to wait more than a week to get an appointment. If they are taking patients from other clinics that have shut down, they should be giving preference and priority to those who are current patients of their clinic.

The second issue is that if I want to walk-in and wait, then I have to pay $74 instead of the standard $45 regular office visit rate (which was already expensive to begin with). And if that weren't enough, any appointments (regular and walk-ins) that take place after 6pm are now considered emergencies and I have to pay $97! I did not even receive an email with this new change in policy. Had I known, I probably would have changed doctors but because my dog is sick, I don't have time to do that and now have to bite the bullet both in terms of my wallet and my time.

Do they realize that due to the pandemic, many people are unemployed or underemployed? For those who are lucky to have a job, do they realize that most people get off work at 6pm and that's the only time they can make an appointment for their pet? I asked for Dr. Cabeza's email address, so I could communicate with her directly, but was denied the information. It's like they don't want to be bothered. Dr. Cabeza has totally forgotten her long-time patients, her humble beginnings, and has put making a profit above the health of pets.

I sincerely hope that they reconsider their position because as an outside looking in, it would appear as though they are price gouging their clients during one of the worst health pandemics and economic crisis we've seen in a long time.

Had a great experience with the hospital. Called ahead and asked about wait times here and at South Miami's Emergency Hospital. Here it was 2-3 hours compared to South Miami's 3-4 but at least Doral Centre gave us the assurance that our dog would be evaluated as we got there so we chose to come here. Her eye was almost shut and as I finished giving the tech the history she took her in, I guess because it was considered an emergency.

I did notice other dogs weren't taken in immediately. Dr Rias was great and called us as soon as she was evaluated. Treatment was started immediately and we had a plan for her to go home within an hour. The price was also extremely reasonable compared to our experiences at South Miami. Overall pleasantly surprised and happy with their service.

Took my chihuahua in for an allergic reaction and they were great! my dog was taken in quickly and the staff was very nice and attentive. The emergency consult at 1am was 90+ the bill itself was 200+ which is expensive but i'm happy my dog is doing great and the kind young lady trimmed his nails as well.

I was satisfied with the end result of the service as my pup was doing great at home and she had no symptoms of trauma. The team updated me accordingly and through text it was awesome and also when calling on the phone. The only thing off was that there were times when the person who answered the phone was really nice or rude and impatient. Overall I’m not going to base the entire experience off of that but I am definitely satisfied with everything and I would definitely be coming back in case of an emergency

If I could leave negative 5 stars I would. I took my dog to go get checked on a Tuesday night and waited for almost 3 hours to get some sort of answers. The doctor himself was super unprofessional and didn't have not one ounce of thoughtfulness nor care for my dog. This place was so sketch from the very start and I should have trusted me and my wife's gut. BUT WE WERE DESPERATE. Dont EVER BRING YOUR DOG HERE THEY WILL LIE AND TRY TO TAKE ALL YOUR MONEY. IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOU FUR BABIES NEVER NEVER NEVER BRING THEM HERE.

If you're reading this. please, please, please, for the sake of your loved pet. Do not bring them here. My cat was returned to me covered in her own feces and her surgery wound wide open. I brought my cat here because she was vomiting 5 days after her spay surgery, so I was a bit concerned and needed an urgent check up. A simple checkup turned into a thousand dollar bill, and my cat was returned to me with her stitches wide open, swollen, and covered in her own feces.

Mind you, I had been waiting outside the hospital worried sick from 4pm to 8pm. They hurried her into my car, telling me that she pooped on herself while they were injecting her with medication. When I got home to clean her up, I noticed the stitches were completely undone and she was bleeding out. Furious, I called the hospital and demanded an explanation.

They were EXTREMELY dishonest, saying that she must have licked herself and opened up her wound. Firstly, my cat was sedated and could not lick herself AT ALL. Secondly, a cat's tongue cannot open up a wound that is stitched closed, and nearly healed at the time we brought her to the hospital. I was in absolute disbelief when my pet was returned to me. Shame on those doctors for handling my 9 month old baby cat with such neglect, and hurting an innocent fragile animal. Karma will come for you.

This used to be a good place to go but no longer. Every time I go there the wait is an hour or longer. Before COVID-19 they took an unusually long time but now it's tripled. I called in advance to pick up some medication and still was there for well over an hour after letting them know I had arrived. Their excuse is always that they have an emergency. Always.

They must think people are stupid. They take their sweet time for EVERYTHING. Unbelievably long. They have also gotten ridiculously expensive. While waiting, there was a lady in the car next to me complaining about how long everything was taking ( mind you I had already been there for over half an hour). I'm seriously looking into another vet. This is ridiculous. The whole staff is blase About everything.

If I could give this place a zero I would! I don't have words to describe the negative experience I had at this location! I brought my pet here because she was in respiratory distress due to heart failure and I spent 5 hours there only to be told that she had to stay over the weekend so that they could perform a heart ultrasound on Monday and that I would be charged THREE THOUSAND.

Since I was not allowed to go inside I called several times and all they would say was that she was being examined. Final result was that they told me that they did absolutely NOTHING for her because they needed my consent of which I was never asked in those FIVE HOURS that I sat in my car parked in their lot. This is very inhumane which obviously leads me to believe that they don't care at all about your pets. This is just a regular business trying to drain your DOLLARS! PLEASE do not take your pets to this factory for an emergency situation!

I have been bringing my babies here for over a year. Last week I had to put my 11 year old Pitt bull to sleep. I am appalled at how inhumanly they are behaving. Money is their number one priority. They are forcing me to continue to pay for my dead dog's plan, because I used most of the services on the plan. I also have paid a lot of money over the last few months on things that are not included in the plan. I find this in extreme poor taste. I will not be renewing my plan on my other dog.

I can't rave enough about the care that was provided to our new puppy Brie. The staff at Doral Centre is amazing. Dr. Marquez was very caring and knowledgeable. She took the time to explain our first visit thoroughly and made our experience to the vet a memorable one. Thanks again :.

I recently got a new puppy and the night of the day I adopted her she was coughing and sneezing so much she started to throw up. I was extremely worried and took her to an emergency vet, Miami Vet Specialist, around 11pm at night. They charged us $115 up front and told us to wait in the car, 1 hour and 30 minutes pass by and my dog still isn’t seen, the reviews for this place are all over the place too, I would not recommend going to that vet ever.

So I start to search for another emergency vet since it is now almost 1am, and I found Doral Centre Animal Hospital. I called them and they were very informative with all the questions I asked. When we arrived my dog was seen within 15 minutes of being there by the Vet and his staff, and we didn’t pay to anything until the looked at my dog and told me what needed to be done to make her feel better and find out what is wrong.

My bill came out to around $900 but in my opinion that is fairly priced for a emergency vet visit (they’re never cheap). The whole staff was very nice and helpful and made my dog feel comfortable as they could. They gave me her antibiotics, X-rays, blood work, and everything else. We were there for about a total of 2 hours. My baby is already feeling and doing so much better!!! I would definitely recommend Doral Centre Animal Hospital to anyone with a pet! They’re amazing people, extremely knowledgeable, and very quick to help!

Our dog was attacked by another dog and it severed his tongue in multiple places. We rushed him here and they took great care of him. Was able to pick him up after surgery about 5-6 hours later. The medication directions were clear and easy to follow. His tongue seems to be stitched up well and he seems to already be healing. I just wish the nurse staff over the phone could provide better advice.

I asked if it's normal that my dog can't really walk and she just advised to bring him in because there's nothing in the notes about that. I didn't cause I have work and assumed it was due to the drugs, two of them have side effects of drowsiness and muscle relaxation. I'm keeping an eye on him and he seems fine, drinking water, eating and wagging his tail.

My experience at Doral Centre Animal Hospital was atrocious. Unfortunately, this "hospital" was the only one open at 1:00am on a Friday night, leaving me no choice but to bring my puppy here. I arrived at 1:00am with my 12-year-old female Maltese needing to see a veterinarian as soon as possible. My puppy was desperately crying for hours; seemed as she was in excruciating pain. Considering this facility is one of the very few 24/7 animal hospitals, there needs to be more employees available.

Upon arrival, one of the technicians in a rudely matter said, "I'll be back in a few minutes. I'm working on an x-ray." He didn't ask what we needed or if my puppy needed immediate attention. After about half an hour waiting in the lobby, the "technician" directs us to a room where we waited 1 entire hour just for the TECHNICIAN to attend my puppy.

Not only is this extremely unprofessional, but it is not morally correct. My dog was crying of desperation! Instead of performing a brief evaluation prior to waiting, it took over 2 hours for the actual doctor to see my puppy. The doctor was very polite and apologetic - it's not her fault that management doesn't properly allocate their employees during the night shift.

While the doctor was examining my puppy, she was constantly interrupted by another gentleman whom was asking the doctor questions relating to another dog. 3 TIMES to answer the same question. The doctor suggested an x-ray and lab work to obtain a better image of what could be wrong with my dog. It is not 5:00am and the doctor comes back with results to tell me that my dog overate. Moreover, the entire experience was horrendous.

The technician explained they had emergent cases in addition to the 15 animals they had admitted and also needed care for. If you can take your animal elsewhere, PLEASE DO. Extremely expensive for the lack of service and professionalism this "hospital" has to offer.

I absolutely love this vet hospital! I have a local Banfield that I go to, however after my baby Apollo was diagnosed with patella luxation (kneecaps come out of the knee socket), it was recommended that I see an orthopedic surgeon. Doral Centre Animal Hospital has an on call orthopedic surgeon named Dr. Jose Gorostiza. I first had to have a check up with Dr. Diptee.

She was amazing! She knew immediately without doing xrays that Apollo had a grade 3 patella luxation on his right leg, and a grade 2 on his left. Between my first appointment at Banfield in the beginning of September, to my appointment with Doral Vet in October, Apollo was barely walking. It was heartbreaking. My next appointment was with the surgeon Dr. Jose Gorostiza.

He is a true professional, and extremely knowledgeable, with over 20 years of experience in orthopedic surgery. He recommended we have surgery as soon as I can, but not urgently. I scheduled the surgery for the following week. I dropped off Apollo that morning at 9am. He would be in wonderful hands with the team at Doral Vet. He had his surgery around 6pm that night.

I called before, during and after. Every time I called the staff was extremely friendly and gave me updates to help relief my anxiety! He had a successful surgery and the surgeon called me after to talk to me on how it went. The next day, I went to go see him. It was in my budget to have in stay another night, so I decided to leave him for one more day.

He had physical therapy done to make sure he legs were working good after surgery. Finally after two very long days, I got to take my baby home. It's been a week and a half and I will be coming back to Doral Vet for his 2 week check up and to have his staples and cone removed. He has been playing, running (not fast) and doing things he hasn't done in months.

It brings me so much joy to see Apollo get better and better every day. I cannot thank the team at Doral Vet enough for all they do. They are always friendly and so excited to see Apollo. They cuddle him and take care of him as if he was their own. I recommend this hospital to any one! Thank you again for making Apollo all better again. His life is completely changed for the better!

Terrible service. Super slow and unaccommodating. I brought my 10 week old Shar-Pei puppies in, and wanted this place to be good. While I do love the Woodbridge Pet Lodge and resort that's affiliated with them I despise the Doral Centre Animal Hospital. First of all it's not one set Vet, there's over 6 vets that are on rotation so you have a million different vets seeing your pet. We've been here 4 times and have had 4 different vets see us (first Paula Bemis, then Lisa Diptee, then a short bald hispanic male, and later Zachary Gouzopoulos).

You usually like to stick to one, so they become familiar with your pet and not have to explain past history every-single-time, visit-after-visit. The wait times are ridiculous, even with an appointment scheduled. One time we waited over 2 hours to be seen in a room. This place might be great for Emergency's as they're open 24 hours, but they're super pricey and conveniently don't accept pet insurance, you must pay up front and then wait for your insurance company to reimburse you.

In another instance, more recently, we wanted to order from 1-800-Pet-Meds for cheaper meds. We are between Toronto and Miami so our vet in Toronto originally prescribed ear drops for an ear infection, seeing as Pet Meds doesn't fulfill prescriptions outside of the U.S we figured emailing Doral with the original 'script and invoice for the drops, one of the million vets at Doral would kindly approve the refill knowing well Shar-Pei's get chronic ear infections with such short ear canals, moisture and heat in Miami causes fungus bacteria and yeast to flourish in that environment.

After taking forever to acknowledge the phone call and fax from 1-800-Pet-Meds (we ordered it First Overnight via FedEx, but they couldn't disperse it until the Vet approval) and hearing the run-around that the Vet was in surgery and couldn't look at the order.the receptionist called us again 24 hours later informing us the Vet would not fulfill the refill without first seeing the puppy, AKA: they want $100+ for the visit and for me to waste my time to go in and wait over an hour to be seen, no thanks.

Every single time we've visited, without fail, (on top of taking forever to be seen) even the very first puppy visit after picking up from the breeder at 10 weeks, receiving NO VACCINES at the time, managed to be over $200. No more Doral Animal Centre Hospital for us. Over priced and inconvenient, unaccommodating and not very understanding, also poor customer service and no sense of urgency when you're there for a specified time & appointment.

The girls up front are not the kindest and the vets may not even be so knowledgable or experienced from what I've read in other reviews. All in all, there are so many better vets out there, don't feel obligated to any one business, shop around and make sure they actually care about you, the client/patient. They don't even remember us or know our pets names, you're just a number.

We took my beautiful puppy to this location mainly because it was the closest one to home, and it was 2 am. You need to ring the bell and they buzz you in. The receptionist at first was a bit stand offish but little by little she showed some empathy. We waited a very long time in between small check ups. They had many other pets in the back in worse conditions ( I hope they are all doing better ).

I did not like that the vet wanted to make conversation about none important matters when my main concern was my dogs health, I had to cut her conversation to remind her why we were there. At the end the service was decent. I feel they are a bit overpriced but at that moment I was willing to pay anything to help my dog feel better quick.
