Dixie Animal Hospital is the place to bring your pet. From caring and compassionate staff to knowledgeable and courteous veterinarians. Dr Pegelow will answer all your questions and advise how best to care for your pet. The follow up is swift and thorough and you will never feel rushed or pressured. Thankfully they were highly recommended to me and I in turn can now highly recommend them.

Fantastic and caring team here! We're extremely pleased with the quality of care our dog receives from Dr. Pegelow and his staff. The staff is very organized and hospitable. In my interactions with Dr. Pegelow he's proven to be an effective communicator, empathetic, with great bedside manner.

I would have to mention all the choices above. A friend referred me several years ago when I moved to this area. They are beyond wonderful. The doctors, the staff all top notch. I would not have any reservations referring anyone to go to that practice. So responsive and kind. Always a follow up very timely. I had a houseguest who had a serious problem with their dog.

A new patient. They saw the dog. Had to refer it to a specialist. The dog got excellent care. Dr Pegalow was on vacation and never saw the dog who returned to his home in another state. Dr Pegalow called when he returned to follow up. How extraordinary is that? Speaks volumes and show great care! Don't hesitate to join that practice!

Dr. Sparks and the entire staff are always professional and treat my dog as a VIP patient every time. They always follow up with a call to ensure Lucy is doing well. They have maintained Covid precautions throughout the past year and I appreciated what they have done to protect staff and clients.

Fantastic clinic, staff are always welcoming and give lots of love to my puppy! Doctors personally call after each procedure or shot to ensure that my Luna is doing well. New to the area and very impressed by this team.

Dr. Sparks is AMAZING and also her nurses. I've been seeing her with my cat for a few years and she's always the best, but this weekend showed me exactly how much better she is than everybody else. Her medical prowess (understanding, ability, instinct) would be enough alone to recommend her, but added to her standard of care for the pet and patient? Unheard of.

Her concern for my cat, bedside manner and follow up are way above and beyond. I think she's the best in South Florida. My cat was sick this past weekend. Another vet ordered every test she could ($1,500 in the end) and then essentially read the results to me from the paper over the phone without explaining anything and recommended I take my cat to the emergency vet. Dr. Sparks, on the other hand, actually sees the cat, checks her over, knows what tests to order based on the symptoms and explains everything to me piece by piece in a way I can understand.

You can tell she really has an instinct for what is going on with a pet. She doesn't overcharge unnecessarily or have you making decisions from a place of panic like many vets do when your pet is sick. If she recommends something, you can trust the animal needs it. Trust is a great word to describe Dr. Sparks. You can trust her. She truly cares and answers all questions and follows up to explain. A standard of care I thought only existed in old movies. Just make sure you go when she is there, don't make the mistake of thinking one doctor is as good as another.

I have a 6 month old puppy and I was recommended to go see Dr. Sparks, o have felt very comfortable with her, she is very sensible when it comes to recommending what my puppy needs. Unfortunately when she has not been there I feel like I've been taken advantage of a bit, my dog had been throwing up and the doctor I saw that was not Sparks, wanted me to spend $600 without really knowing what was wrong with him, my puppy ended up not eating the food or taking the meds or needing any of that treatment, I don't think it nice to take advantage of people when they are desperate because they have a new puppy and they will do anything for their puppy to be ok. I will continue going to Dixie but only to see Dr. Sparks, she's an excellent Vet and I highly recommend her.

They are a very professional and caring office. Doctor Pegelow is a wonderful vet who takes his time with his patients and he is knowledgeable about his patients. Calls the day after to see how the pet is doing and that is very special.

Fantastic experience! Was very worried about my kitty. Dixie Animal Hospital was recommended. Could not have been more pleased. They were able to give me an appointment the day after Thanksgiving. Everyone was amazing, especially since I was a nervous wreck! My kitty was picked up from my car and returned with explicit instructions on medicines to be administered.

I was overwhelmed but was able to call and get clarification! The vet called me the following morning to check on kitty and again on Monday. Wonderful feeling! Thanks again to everyone at Dixie Animal Hospital!

One of the most professional vets in South Florida. Their passion and care for our animals is amazing. After both times we've taken our cats, the doctor has followed up with us numerous times to check in on them. We've been extremely impressed.

Recently began taking our cats to Dixie Animal Hospital. The entire staff has been caring, patient, and provided EXCELLENT communication. One of our kitties has been having trouble healing from a tooth extraction, and the number follow up phone calls to check on her, as well as the ability to send photos for feedback and to determine if an additional follow up visit was needed (which it was, and they squeezed us in the same day to get her the care she needed!), has been much appreciated. Highly recommend Dixie Animal Hospital!

I have had horrible experiences with vets. I have a pure breed cat and 3 tabby cats. I have always struggled finding the perfect vet that I trusted without concern. I finally found the most awesome vet! I always, and I mean ALWAYS, receive a call back and a follow up after every visit! My cats to me are family and I feel like our vet approaches my concerns with all of his attention and care. I will staying with Dr. Pegelow for ever!

We take both our dogs here and while it is expensive, we do appreciate the care our pets receive from Dr. Pegalow and the rest of the staff. They always call after our appointments to see how our dogs are doing, which is a nice touch! Often it is Dr. Pegalow calling himself. He is very attentive and takes his time with each animal. We do like Dixie Animal Hospital and will always look to them for our pets' medical needs.

Dr. Pegelow is a great. He is smart and kind. The best combination for a Veterinarian. We have gone to him for 10+ years and have always had a great experience.

I brought my dog into the clinic for a second opinion, letting them know that we could not afford to pay lot of money to cure our dog if the problem was severe. Dr. Pegelow was aware of the situation he did a check up on our dog looked at the lab results and gave me some suggestions. He called to check up on our dog to see how she was doing. When I had problems I called the clinic and they got a prescription ready for me to pick up. Dr. Pegelow called me again to check up on our dog's condition and gave me some other helpful suggestions.

This Clinic has been very caring, professional, detail oriented, clean, conscientious, and overall a GREAT place to take your animal. We have never had a vet call on our animals before. THEY ARE A GREAT ASSET TO OUR COMMUNITY!

For the past 6 years, I've been bringing my 2 dogs and 2 cats to Dixie Animal Hospital. They have received excellent and compassionate care from the 3 vets on staff. When my beloved, 12 year old English setter needed an operation for cancer., Dr. Rainey took great care of him, and saw that he got the expert treatment he needed, including the operation, overnight stay, and medicine.

He also reassured me, when I was very distraught. The 3 vets consult with each other all of the time, and with specialists when needed. Dr. Pegelow saved this same dog when he had a huge infection on his leg. Dr. Kittrell operated on my dog, Dolly when she had a hernia. The staff is also very caring. The cost of treatment is very reasonable. Dixie is a great place to take your pets!

For us our dogs are our family. Dr Pegelow and his staff are brilliant and go out of their way to make sure our dog gets the best care possible. They have guided us through all his problems so we have been able to make the best choices for him.

My pets have been patients at Dixie Animal Hospital for several years. Throughout the staff and doctors have been caring, professional and very knowledgable. The hospital is very clean and offers grooming and boarding which is very convenient. When my dog died i found the entire staff very compassionate. Took our Goldendoodle for her yearly. First time without Dr. Rainey. Had a wonderfull vet, Dr. Sparks. She was great with Zoey and explained everything as we went along. Hope she will be permanent.
