Services
Delaware Valley Veterinary Hospital is a full service animal hospital offering the best in veterinary care. The doctors and staff offer a wide range of veterinary services, designed to meet all the needs of all your pets. Whether you have a new puppy needing an examination and vaccinations, an elderly cat requiring blood tests and a dental cleaning, or a ferret in need of skin care, you can be sure that our doctors, along with the entire staff, will do their best to make your pet comfortable and to provide any services needed.
Due to the ongoing increase in the volume of emergencies, we have hired GuardianVETS, a triage service staffed by NJ licensed veterinarians and Certified Veterinary Technicians. These dedicated professionals will answer our phone lines when our hospital is closed. They will assess your pet and determine if emergency care is required or if the patient is stable to wait for an urgent care visit the following morning.

We've been going here for 10+ years now. Before the pandemic, it was busy but you could always be seen, wait time was never super long, and the care provided was amazing. Since then, however, it hasn't been the same. They are constantly busy and it's hard to book an appointment (called to make our dogs annual appointment in April, the first availability they had was in August).

Not sure if they have just taken on too many new customers, or if they are understaffed. When we arrive for our appointments, we constantly have to wait 30min -1hr just to be taken back/seen (this may be because of emergency appointments, but it is too long to wait - why do they not allocate for this?). Our dog hates the vet, and having to be stuck there waiting forever causes him more stress.

The only reason we still go here is because we absolutely love the doctors here, all of them are fantastic and attentive when we actually see them. You can tell how busy/overworked they are, yet they still make sure to understand any issues and provide care. We wish they would stop taking on so many new customers, but that's business for you.

Find somewhere else to go. Several years ago they weren't bad but since the pandemic they haven't been the same since. They nolonger do urgent or emergency visits, they overdose the pets and they wouldn't even treat my 14 pound dog that consumed onions! Never going back there again horrible

Front desk needs to be retrained. Out of courtesy, I called hours in advance to say I was going to be late. the first thing she says is well we will have to cancel. This appointment took months for me to get. I've been bringing my pets there for15 years. Calculate that! She never asked how late. never asked anything. She did say the next appointment was in July.

I moved to Philadelphia but decided to drive the 40 minutes to have them see my senior mini-pin. The lovely Vet was kind and gave me a realistic assessment of her time left. Rosie's time was a bit shorter than I expected, but I returned for the most difficult time I can remember and it was the most lovely and compassionate experience. I'm not the first person to go through this, but I felt like I was. They were exceptionally kind and answered my questions and gave me all the time I needed. I recommend this Hospital. I just got a card from them - imagine, it was lovely.

My dog was an established patient since 2016 at this facility since she was a puppy. I had been trying for months to get my dog seen. I set up an appointment back in August 2021 and the earliest that my dog could be seen was in November 2021. I didn't want to wait that long, but I took the earliest they could give me. At the end of December, I called to get my dog seen for a lump on it's back.

They said the earliest appointment they had available was the end of April 2022/early May 2022. RIDICULOUS! They told us to call back the following day to see if they could get us in for an "urgent care visit." A few days later, I called and they still could not get my dog in for an urgent care visit even when I called right at 8am when they opened.

The receptionist told me they had a 9am opening the following day. My dog had become very sick out of nowhere and was lethargic. The receptionist on the phone seemed to not even care. But she did tell me to call back "if anything changes." I called back an hour or two later crying, saying that my dog was still lethargic and wouldn't get up from a lying position.

I knew something was very wrong. The receptionist told me that the vet was in emergency surgery so I couldn't take her there to be seen, and told me my dog definitely had to be seen, so the receptionist recommended I take my dog to Mount Laurel Animal Hospital. Unfortunately my dog died due to being severely anemic. Why wouldn't the receptionist mention this when I first called as an option, or even when I called before to try and get her seen? Mt. Laurel Animal Hospital is 24 hours.

I will never bring any more of my pets to this veterinary hospital again. They are not reliable nor do they seem to really care about pets anymore. It seems that they want all their appointments to be urgent care visits, probably to charge you more! They didn't even send a sympathy card (Mt. Laurel Animal Hospital did). Afterall, my dog was an established patient.

I even called them the next day to let them know my dog had passed away and it appeared the receptionist who I had been dealing with the day before, could care less. They used to be a great veterinary hospital, but not anymore. I highly DO NOT recommend.

I am surprised they come so highly recommended, because not one person that works there seems to truly care about animals. They have no sense of urgency when there is an emergency with your pet. The girl who called to schedule xrays was rude! I left a message for the doctor because my cat finished his anti-biotics and I was not sure if we should continue since they could not see us for 2 weeks. I am still waiting on a call back. I absolutely will not return here and I highly do not recommend.

They're wonderful and cost-friendly. My cat was sick with an unknown illness and they ran tests and gave me answers. Sadly, she passed-- euthanized at the office-- which they handled professionally and humanely. Their compassion was evident. I recommend this facility over all else for your pets needs.

Always a wonderful experience. Dr. Milden and his staff are always top notch and our pets love them too. We never feel rushed and are always given a thorough diagnosis, as well as proper and clear guidance for future care when necessary. We have had major surgeries done by Dr. Milden and have always had better than expected outcomes and always feel our pets are being given the best care possible.

I couldn't recommended a better veterinarian for your pet if you want one that seems to truly care about not only the pet, but the owner as well, when the time comes to make the tough decisions.

My precious little, two year old yorkie died at Delaware Valley having a baby tooth pulled. They told me it was an adult tooth and had to be pulled. Found out after he died that it was a baby tooth which could have been pulled out myself since a baby tooth has no root. There was so much incompetence that I would need 3 pages to write about it. For more details go to State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners. I filed a complaint with them and Delaware Valley was imposed a fine. The worst day of my life - I will never get over it.

My Great Dane was in for a bloat problem. I paid $1400 for his stomach to be tacked. They kept the dog for a week with a drainage, which was not necessary. Two months later he got the bloat again. I rushed him to the vet and they said it was best to put him down. I said OK, not knowing the circumstances. I picked up the dead dog nicely wrapped. One of the boys there mentioned that he did not see anything of a tack.

We got a bill for $1200 for a dead dog. So, I got ripped off by them for not tacking and then ripped off again for killing my dog. At most the cost should have been not much more than $150. I was half tempted to open up the dog and look for myself if a tack was ever done. I've done a lot of deer hunting so gust doesn't bother me. Next time I'll ask for picture of the work. On some other visits they sold us on some very expensive dog food.
