I am so impressed with how sweet and loving the entire staff at Deer Creek Animal Hospital has been to my sweet puppy Lincoln. Lincoln saw Dr. Lewis for his first puppy wellness exam and she was fantastic and very gentle with my pup during his shots. The girls at the front desk are the best. By the second day of day care, they remembered Lincoln and greeted him like he was their own. He was thrilled to see his friends at Deer Creek AH again and I am excited we found doggy care I can feel great about.

Horrible environment for dogs boarding, They have narrow kennels and they dont take them out at night cause they dont have nite staff so in the hot summer poor dogs are just allowed outside during the daytime. My friend made an appointment to get an International health cert for her dog to travel to Europe and after making it there the Vet we had the appointment with was not USDA accredited therefore can't issue an international health cert to Europe.

Waste of time and the stupid people working at the front desk still wanted to charge $150. I asked several times for a manager who they told me was Katrina, they ignore me and didnt call her. Here is the review with my full name, hopefully Katrina call me back

This is a place where they only want money, every time I bring my dog they do want to do something else so end up paying $200 instead of just 64 for grooming. Never taking my dog there again. You keep pushing and pushing to do something we don't want to do until we give up. You did this twice, but never again.

Have been going there since they opened. My dog actually likes the vet, which is weird she likes no one! Was an emergency and they got me right in. I have aChow German Shepard mix not the smallest nor friendliest gal in town and no issues. Definitely recommend

I will never be bringing a pet (especially a cat) back to this vet. I told them for months that something was wrong with my 3 year old cat, spent a lot of money on exam visits and was meet with zero concern by my vet. Who would only run the same test or tell me to buy their expensive pet foods (which I did buy). When I finally had the chance to meet with a different vet she confirmed that my cat was indeed very sick but by then it was too late and she passed away with multiple organ failure and no diagnosis.

Before all of this I had brought all my dogs to this vet with zero issues and thought they did a great job with most services. But after what I experienced with my cat I can not support them or trust them with another pet.

Professional, organized, and clean. This is a top knotch Veterinary Hospital. Bonus that Dr. Higgons specializes in Giant Schnauzers. They also offer a great boarding facility with over an acre of grass runs. Our 14 year old giant laid outside with fellow giants in a large grassy area during the day. At night his premium kennel had everything he needed.

The staff was awesome in being mindful to help him get up-and-down (has severe arthritis in his back). Xorro is a 120 pound guy. To say that the premium kennel is roomy is a huge compliment :) Hannah is is is hands down one of the best vet techs I've dealt with. When we were at the end of life care for our Giant Schnauzer Aero, She provided me with a fluid bag and instructed me on how to administer the fluids.

This provided Aero with relief/comfort and gave us the ability to give him hospice care until it it was time to walk him over the rainbow. Thank you so much Deer Creek for all that you do for our furry family members. You can tell the staff is happy and top knotch. It is a pleasure to watch them work seamlessly.

The staff is super friendly and helpful. It was great walking in and seeing the staff love on the dogs in the day care! We sadly had to lay one of our dogs to rest, as hard as that was the staff was comforting and made the process easier if that makes sense. Thank you

I would leave ZERO stars if I could They miss diagnosed our dog which led to hundreds of dollars in unnecessary X-rays, medications & vet visits. They sent her to an urgent veterinarian clinic to have surgery, they had our dog ready to be sedated & 100% prepped for surgery when the clinic called saying that our dog did not need the surgery because there was nothing in her stomach that needed removed.

We picked our dog up brought her back to deer creek for another visit & another x ray only to be told that our girl had cancer & needed to be put to sleep right away & there was nothing they could do. After our German Shepard was put down we contacted deer creek to see if we could be compensated for all the x rays & surgery fees we had to pay due to their multiple misdiagnosis's.

They flat out told us no & that we were still responsible for the hundreds of dollars in vet bills. It's been about 2 years now & we called to bring our other dog in for her nails to be clipped & we were informed that they no longer offer services for any of our animals. We've brought 5 dogs to them for multiple years & have spent hundreds & hundreds of dollars to them.

They've taken no responsibility for all they put us & our dog through & to find out they won't even let us come back was a HUGE slap in the face & shows they don't care about their patients or their owners. Do yourself & your fur babies a favor & stay away from Deer Creek. There are PLENTY of veterinarians & animal clinics that will treat you & the animals you love so much better!

So I called in today for my dogs nails to be clipped & was told they no longer offer services to me. this vet will no longer service me due to the fact that the miss diagnosed my dog a while back & I had to pay hundreds of dollars to find out. My dog ended up passing away & left me in a very tough spot. When I complained & ask for some type of reimbursement for the services I paid for but did not need, they left me to the wolves.

I've been going to this vet for years & have brought 5 dogs. This vet will completely flip on you the moment there Is any type of issue, I would avoid at all cost, pun Intended

Can't say enough good things about Deer Creek! They truly care about their clients, and they provide everything you could need: vet care, day care, and grooming. I could write a whole separate post about how incredible Groomer Jen is with our poodle mix. We've had great experiences with all of the doctors and techs, and the front office staff always makes us feel welcome and appreciated.

I loved this place. It was clean and the staff was so nice. The vet was empathetic and so concerned. Helped with my dogs issue and I did not have to pay an arm and a leg for the service. They got Emmett in on the same day as well. I won't go anywhere else. Thank you Dr. Higgins for helping Emmett feel relaxed and for solving his issue!

From all the times I have taken Luna there was only one time that I was disappointed. And I've taken her there many times. I like to think that we are only human and mishaps can happen. Seeing how much medical attention my girl requires and knowing she's always in good hands is the reason I continue to bring her. Thank you!

Wonderful clinic, we love boarding our dogs here as they provide tons of playtime and socialization. Both of our boys are so excited for vet visits now they pull their leashes trying to get to the door & even recognize some of the staff from visits and are so happy to see them. It is so nice to have an office we can trust with our fur babies & know they are in the best hands!

The staff is always caring and attentive to questions and concerns. We have seen two different vets here and both provided excellent care and answered all our questions. We also noticed that the price for care is VERY reasonable. Love love it here!

This is an update. I am still giving 5 stars because this is truly the very best pet hospital I've ever known. there was a little problem with the most recent boarding stay for my pet, however, Dr. Higgins, the owner made amends graciously.

We have 2 dogs and 3 cats, all patients of Derek Creek Animal Hospital. We go here for shots, toe nail trims, wellness checks and when the babies aren't feeling well. We have been super impressed with how organized and attentive they are. They have a wide range of appt times (including Saturdays) to fit every schedule and they always send a follow up note to ensure the visit went well.

They have a variety of programs too to help save money - posting a pic of our pup Tito when we signed up for their puppy program. Dr. Marion is our fave but the entire staff is incredible.

We left our dogs here over Thanksgiving weekend. Our dogs are 12 and 13, and our 13 year old has arthritis and other hip problems. When we dropped them off our 13 year old was happy and jumping to greet everyone. When we picked him up, he could barely walk. He stopped eating, and was running a fever. When we took him to the vet, he had 5 broken ribs, pneumonia, and open sores on his leg had gotten infected.

We brought the medical bills back to Deer Creek to tell them what happened, they told us that the people in their medical office weren't there, and they still haven't called us back. I need to know what happened to our dog. He's 13 years old, these injuries could have killed him. Someone has to be held accountable. I could have lost my best friend.

Please don't take your animals here. Our vet confirmed that you reached out to them and were sent a report of our dog's injuries. You still have not contacted us. Any attempt to say that I am lying is beyond disrespectful, and you need to be held accountable for what happened to my dog.

Absolutely love this place! My doggo was scooting on the carpet a bit so I wanted to get him in to a vet just in case. They got me in the same day (and a Saturday no less) and took care of the problem quickly. Everyone is so nice, I took him back today for a full check up and made an appointment for grooming. Can't wait to see him all fluffy!

Just moved to the neighborhood and looking for a new Vet for my 3 dogs & 2 cats. Upon receiving a welcome card from Deer Creek Animal hospital, I checked out the reviews & facility. I was very impressed & made appts. for all my animals. Loved all the staff and could feel their care. Shortly after my 14yr old cats quality of life took a turn-- I made the heartbreaking decision to put her down.

With tears pouring for my sweet girl--we were given the utmost care and respect by the tech & Dr. at Deer Creek-- the comfort I felt as my Neenee crossed over her rainbow bridge. I'm still feeling very blessed to have found them and comforted by how they cared for me & my sweet family member. Neenee's Happy days photo & sweet dreams Thank you from the bottom of my heart Deer Creek Animal Hospital staff

You saved my baby! Just moved to North Phoenix and came home to a sick senior cat last Thursday. Deer Creek Animal Hospital was the only vet clinic that was able to squeeze him in their packed schedule on Friday morning. From the clinic staff, to vet tech, to vet. they were every inch professional and caring. Dr. Marion walked me through the x-rays and also explained my cat's bloodwork and worked to make him comfortable as possible and helped him get better. He's on the mend, thanks to the team at Deer Creek Animal Hospital. We've always had a 'family' vet, the best of the best care for my cat, everywhere we've lived.

It was unfortunate that we just moved here, but it is a good lesson, because when you need vet care for a sick pet, being able to get 'in' to see the vet is also super important. and that they actually care that your pet is in pain.

6:55* Jill H Remington Just now These people are prejudice, judgemental and mean spirited. My daughter took her puppy to them for her shots and when the reviewed the paperwork and saw how much her family paid for their puppy, they became immediately unkind. They told her she should not have purchased a puppy from a pet shop. She purchased her from an American Kennel Approved Pet shop in Gilbert with high reviews.

They called my daughter a liar and said it was not American Kennel Approved, which it is. They told her that the dog has serious social issues from being in a pet shop and it would take a long time to undo the scars. The Veterinarian even told her it was a bad puppy. Imagine taking your child to a pediatrician and them telling you your child is a bad one!

They were rough with the puppy and mentally abused my daughter making her feel like a piece of crap. A veterinarian should live the oath that all animals, and clients, deserve to be treated respectfully and they all deserve the same standard of care. no matter where they come from. The Assistant even told my daughter she would pray for her! Yet they gave no thought to charging her $100 for their disrespectful treatment of her puppy and herself.

They owe my daughter an apology for their mental abuse towards her and the puppy. I suggest instead of praying for my daughter, who would never treat anyone the way they did her, the staff should search their hearts and pray for forgiveness, compassion and wisdom. - Helpful 1

I understand you are short staffed, but forcing people to change their scheduled appointments because no one wants to work past 5 is ridiculous. Oh and you don't do Saturdays either apparently. Maybe it's because other people are working and can't just take time off to come at 9am on a Tuesday. Time to find another vet. Which is sad because I like the veterinarians there. Dr. Schneider is amazing.

You need to hire a better office manager. It's clear that management is your issue if no one wants to work there. I also checked your indeed.com reviews and it seems that your staff thinks that too. You can say good bye to all 11 of my animals that are currently in your care.

I should have quit going here ages ago when the prices got ridiculous and price estimates were completely off. But the schedulers wanted my dog to wait a FULL WEEK with a raging UTI. The final straw was when I saw this sign posted up on the front desk about the staff not wanting to work because of government handouts. With the prices they charge, they should be able to incentivize people by paying them a living wage. Leave your ignorant political views at home.

This animal hospital has it all, between their amazing vets and staff they truly put your pet first. We have left our rescue dog with them for boarding but also for doggy daycare and he comes back a better (and exhausted) dog. Would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a new vet or for a place for your dog to play.

I scheduled my dog Mika for a nail trim for Wednesday at 9:30am. I then received a follow up call from vet tech asking if we could move appt to 10:45 on Wednesday. Then when I showed up Wednesday at 10:45 I was told I was not in the system. I explained to the employee that they must not have put me back in the system when they moved my appointment but I had an appointment.

The employee was rude and couldn't care less. I have been going here for years and considered them family, but you don't treat family like this. Ultimately I got Mika in but really bad experience.

I decided to take my cat her to get her updated rabies vaccine shot and also have them look at a lump on her back (which I thought might be a fatty tumour). What I found strange and super unfriendly is at least 2 times when work was recommended the vet left the room and his assistant went out and printed the work and made me sign. Everything felt very transactional and total impersonal (they are a vet and I felt like I was at a lawyers office). Anyhow when they vet had to draw fluid from the lump (and my cat was in panic mode) and was finished there was blood on her back / on the table and then in her carrier and they did not offer me a napkin or anything to clean her up (in-fact he told me it's quite normal for her to be bleeding after he stuck a needle in her 3 times).

Then came the quote that was almost $2000 for the operation ( a quick google showed me multiple sites that said it should range from $500 - $900) - at that point the whole experience made me feel uncomfortable and I decided I would take her elsewhere for a second opinion. One week later and took her in for the initial evaluation - the vet put in a needle with a tube and drew 3 vials of fluid - my cat was not distressed and there was no blood All over the place. Got quoted $950 (did not have to sign anything and the vet delivered the pricing) - 1 week later the operation and they ended up only charging me $800 and little princess is back home recovering.

Bottom line I don't like being critical but you all need to work on your mannerisms and treat us like human beings - we are bringing our pets in and you don't need to constantly have people sign they agree to pay like they are criminals - unless it's because you tend to gouge people on pricing - your pricing was over double what I paid elsewhere. You've lost my business at this point. Hope this helps other people when making a decision to go there.

Deer Creek is absolutely amazing. I have no suggestions for how it could have been any better. I am so grateful to them for being able to fit my dog in for an appointment, even though they were fully booked, and for being so wonderful with all of us. My puppy hurt his back and they were able to have him feeling better before we even left the clinic!

They also called us the day after to see how he was doing, and were so helpful when we asked about medication/what to do at home with my puppy/etc. This is such a wonderful place and I HIGHLY recommend you take your puppy here!

As a new mom to a show boxer puppy with crop ears, I was a wreck. I called around to every vet in the area that had experience with cropped ears and no one would help me. Except Deer Creek Animal hospital. They told me to come in the next day drop her off in the morning and the vet would see her when they could. This was such a huge relief to me. Like HUGE!

I appreciate them so much. Everyone was so nice and while there was nothing wrong with my dog's ears it was the peace of mind that I had that made all the difference. I will recommend them to everyone for everything.

Just had my first experience with Dr. Schneider and her Staff, seemed knowledgeable, great customer service, did not feel like I was getting scammed like I have from previous vets. Waiting on bloodwork for the old dog. overall great place to bring your pet clean and comfortable.

Very disappointed with this animal hospital. If your like me my dog is family. We had a 4:00 appointment and showed up at 3:50. Went inside to let the staff know that our dog is not people or dog aggressive but gets super excited when he sees others which can be a little scary to others because he is a large pit bull. Told them we would wait in the car for our 4:00 appointment and they said they would come get us.

Please keep in mind it's 4pm on a July day in Phoenix so it's HOT but the air is on while we wait. By 4:15 nothing so we left. 4:32 yes 4:32 they call my wife's phone and in a very condescending voice mail told us they can't find us but they are ready. We were already home at this point. We will look for another vet that treats our dog like family.

I was surprised on my visit May 11 by the total lack of CDC recommended precautions by all staff including techs, groomers and doctors! (They told me they don't do that there) Some customers had masks but since I was waiting well past my appt time I also noticed no one was making any attempt to clean counters, maintain distance or anything else.

This has been my vet for at least a decade, but it's pretty apparent the owner vet is absent from the practice and customer service level shows it. After spending over an hour there, I saw the tech about 3 minutes and the vet himself even less. The tech apologized profusely for the wait and the fact that the Dr couldn't come back to give me the drugs and instructions for them.

I could go on, like increased visit prices, bloated prices for drugs (more than double the cost if bought from petmeds.com, and a rush to recommend surgery for a minor issue quoted at $1100. Ugh If you must go here, please make sure your furbabies (and you) are well taken care of.

I am very disappointed that my vet of 8 years is not taking the CDC guidelines into account. Nobody working there, who I saw (5 people), wore a mask. The tech who I saw was not keeping her distance. This is unacceptable in the current COVID-19 climate. As usual, staff were courteous. I will be looking for an alternative option for my dogs where they take their staff and customer safety seriously.

They say someone is there 24 hours. That's not true. They have an employee that is there to clean and leave 2 hours before the openers get there. This was told to me by an employee yesterday. Our dog has a nasty rash and when I go to pick him up he is in obvious pain. Something happened to our dog when he was there. I got a call on Thursday at one pm saying that he had diarrhea over night.

We stayed once before and everything was ok, but I left there with a horrible vibe and don't think they took good care of my dog Update: they said they learned of a condition that my dog has with his back. I don't know where they got that information from. I never shared that with them and he does in fact not have a back condition.

We have been going to this hospital for all of our dogs for almost 20 years. So disappointed as this is not the first time one of my dogs got kennel cough by getting groomed there. My husband called extremely upset wanting to talk to the manager and they refused to let him. He said he did not mind waiting in hold they refused again escalating an already escalated situation.

Finally saying they would call him back of which we waited all night. I called as my dog got worse my fear is that she was dehydrated. I called for an appt as I was told that they refused to see my dog as my husband was rude to them. Instead of calling back last night to let us resolve this they never called now my puppy is really sick after waiting over night with a risk of serious complications they didn't care about the well being of my Isabella.

We decided that this practice is now not in the best interest of our dogs anyway. I went got all my records and rushing her to another vet. This practice was the best now it is run by not the same people. So disappointing. If you care about your animals I would suggest you think twice about taking them to this practice it's not the same place and the manager is a coward not to call us back making the girls in the front to deal with this situation Update Dr Higgins called my husband directly to apologized for what happened and the person involved was dealt with.

She also agreed to pay our vet bill from the new vet. We told her now our other lab Leia has kennel cough to. She offered to leave a prescription for her at the desk for my husband to pick up. I got home this evening and now our third dog Angie is sick and we brought her to see Dr Higgins and she is now on the regiment for Kennel cough at no charge to us. Unfortunate this happened yet I am impressed how the Dr handled the situation in the office and had made steps to make this right for our puppies.

Best animal place in town. My family has been going here for years, and now that I have my own dog it's my turn. It's the one stop shop for my dog. Get the shots done while they take him back to groom and they have a kennel too if you need to go out of town. Everyone is so nice all the time! I love this place. The prices are very well placed as well for the level of service you get.

My dog always leaves so clean and happy after a long weekend with his friends. I'm very picky with who handles my dog and this place is fantastic. I love how they let me know while I'm gone if anything goes on. Thanks DeerCreek!

I've been coming here for 4 or so years since moving to PHX. I didn't do any research and more or less just rolled with what a relative of mine had set in motion. I took my dog in for his shots and a checkup yesterday, and as is usual the staff was all very friendly - and the Vet was absolutely amazing with my dog. He's very hesitant to trust strangers, and she let him take his time in trusting him before administering the shots and such. I'm happy to have had positive experiences since day 1, and hope that Yelpers take into consideration how hard it is to find 5 star medical for humans and furry friends. We're a sensitive bunch when our loved ones are involved. Weigh the positives and the negatives.

I have boarded my dogs here a few times. Today when I picked up my labs they were soaking wet with muddy water. My clothes and back seat of car are covered in mud. I went back inside and let the staff know and all they said was sorry, next time schedule them for a bath. What has happened to good customer service? If you know of a good dog boarding place let me know?

Reply to the Reply from Lisa at Deer Creek Lisa it seems you may have training issue with your staff. All I asked was why my dogs were soaking wet and muddy. You and your staff keep bringing up this bath issue so since you feel it's my fault that my dogs were dripping wet and muddy when I picked them up I will expand upon my experience. When I brought my dogs in on Thursday your staff member asked many question about how I would like my dogs cared for.

He was kind and seemed knowledgeable. He asked if I wanted premium or standard boarding and if I wanted to pay a little for treats. Then he mentioned that dogs got a free bath for three nights but since I was boarding for five nights I would be charged an additional fee for the baths. I asked him why that if I'm paying more money for more nights why would I have to pay extra for a bath.

He said that's the policy. I remember telling him that sounded like the dumbest thing I'd heard of. He asked me again if I was sure I didn't want to pay extra for the baths and then showed where to initial to refuse the baths. I agree that I checked no bath because your staff told me it was an additional charge. When I picked up my dogs I knew they would not have had a bath but I did not expect them to be covered in mud and soaked.

Use caution if you go to Deer Creek Animal Hospital. While the facility appears clean, but they have a high turnover of office staff leading to misplaced paperwork and a lack of knowledge about the services offered. There doggie daycare consists of letting the dogs run loose behind the counter and in the administrative office area. The Vets seem to have good qualifications but due to the lack of cohesiveness in their record keeping you are liable to get two different answers to the same problem when you take your pet into to consult with a doctor.

Also I have found them to recommend unnecessary services, which I assume is for the revenue generated, since their prices are quite high when compared to the same services from other vets in the area. For instance the prices for grooming services are twice what others charge for grooming. If you choose to go here be very hands on and ask a lot of questions.
