It began as a single doctor practice. The practice flourished and by 1987, the building had to be remodeled to accommodate the workload. Day Road Animal Hospital was founded on the philosophy of offering and providing the very best medical and surgical options for our patients. We believe it is our responsibility to be our patient's advocate and will make every effort to ease their discomfort and guard their health.
Day Road Animal Hospital offers a full-range of services for your pet, including wellness care, dentistry, surgery and imaging. As anyone who has had pets know, they each have their own distinctive personality. In much the same way, each pet has their own distinctive medical needs. We will work with you to determine your pet's individual needs based on lifestyle, risk factors, age and medical condition. We love the little ones! As your puppy or kitten grows we'll help ensure that they develop into healthy, happy adults.

I took my kitten to Day Road Animal Hospital for her initial check-up, immunizations, and spay and have been incredibly pleased with the kindness, professionalism, and care we have received. Every staff interaction, from the person who answered my initial call and squeezed us in to look at her symptoms, to Dr. Swaney and Dr. Tabata who knowledgeably answered my (many!) questions the past several weeks, to the techs who provide email check-ins and follow-up information have been great.
This office also has video appointments so you can "join" the appointment, see your pet, talk to the doctor, etc during COVID restrictions-- which was especially appreciated as a first-time pet owner. Thank you Dr. Swaney, Dr. Tabata, Christina, Emily and the rest of the crew for all you do! Leia and I appreciate you.

The staff and vets have always been very friendly, but not always the most thorough or seeming expert care. We have been clients for 3 years. Without going to into a lengthy review of what brought us to this point, the final straw was finding out there is a conventionally acceptable alternative medication they didn't even offer us instead of most prescribed one that difficult to administer.
