Our clinic was first born in 1979, when Dr. Metcalf purchased the clinic from a former classmate, he then decided to expand and moved the clinic to our current location in 1982. Dr. Metcalf worked single handedly until 1986 when Dr. Peek came aboard and became part owner. Since then as the years went on Dr. Peek and Dr. Metcalf have always worked as a team to provide the best care for you and your pet. As technology and medicine change, our veterinary team is always learning and advancing the way we practice medicine.

I have loved David Blvd Animal Clinic since I rescued my dog in August. Unfortunately, I have a prone to sickness and injuries dog so I have been multiple times and they have always taken care of my Sue. They have gone above and beyond to make her comfortable and me feel seen and heard as an owner. I recommend them to the utmost!

I had an appointment I called the day before to confirm she clearly said 9:30am and on my appointment date she said I can't see him because it was at 9 she argued with me instead of trying to help me or apologize. I never got to see the doctor I looked for another place looks nicer and people are more friendly

We were recommended this place when we unfortunately had to put down our fur baby, Patches. The staff was extremely sweet and very caring. I could tell the doctors and staff care about the families and pets they see. I'm sure our family will use them in the future when necessary. Thank you! *Update: Our family continued to use this clinic for our pets!
They've taken great care of our cat, Luna, and our puppy, Nova. My parents miss the care the pets received here now that they've moved! They will always know you and your pets and offer them lots of love and treats.

I need everyone to know that, first and foremost, my various cats have had amazing care here and I am still taking my current cat in. I have taken maybe five cats I've had over the past 25 years or so to this clinic. I have even taken a stray there at closing time before and the staff looked for a microchip, helped me to calm down, and gave me advice about my next steps. (I did find her owner ) The vets allow me to hold onto my cats during their examinations which is a comfort to both of us.
While they have had to help two of my cats cross the rainbow bridge, I only felt good about one of them. The second time, and the reason for the three rather than five stars, I had missed signs of kidney issues until it was too late and Dr. Peek was very short with me about it. I have never been there when any of my other cats were euthanized but the knowledge that I had contributed to her earlier than expected death, I wanted to be with her.
It was a nightmare. I cry (as I am now) every time I remember it, at least 10 years later. The same vet and a tech came in, "tied off" her front leg, which made her cry out in fear. She was fully awake. I wasn't allowed to hold onto her or anything. She made the most gut wrenching sound throughout and it was the most horrifying experience I've ever had.
Even though it was very quick, I cannot be convinced this is the normal way they handle the situation when other owners are present. I hope they have changed the way this is conducted now if you want to be with your animal as they die. I love Dr. Metcalf and I have no complaint about the staff or any of the visiting vets I've met. But I do not want to have to deal with that vet again.

This was our first visit at this vets office and we were impressed! The staff were all very sweet. We have a big german shepherd who hadn't been to the vet before and was scared. They knew how to handle him even and knew exactly what it was that was bothering him (flea allergy) treated it there in office and Moose has been a new dog ever since we got home. No more itching! We tried a few different vets before coming here and now we wouldn't go anywhere else! We started going because their prices are fair and the Drs are very kind and knowledgeable. They didn't nickel and dime us like some other "good" vets we had gone to. We have since found both the staff and the Drs to be extremely compassionate and caring. They make us feel like they really care about us and our pets as they do their own. They are truly top notch. You won't be disappointed.
