Compassionate, affordable pet care? Check. Quality service? Clean facility? Being the highest rated veterinary practice in Woodbridge and Lake Ridge by Consumers' Checkbook magazine? Double check. At Crossroads Animal Care Center, we have it all! Located in Woodbridge, Virginia, we provide veterinary care to dogs and cats of the Northern Virginia (NOVA) area, including Prince William County, Lake Ridge, Manassas, and Dale City. Everything we do is geared toward the comfort of you and your pet-from our state-of-the art services to our pet-related TV programs in the waiting area.

We all wish pets could live as long as people do, and although we can't make that happen at Crossroads Animal Care Center, we can help them live happier, healthier lives. To do that, we recommend that you bring your pet in for a comprehensive wellness exam at least once a year. However, exam frequency may vary, depending on age and health status, among other factors. During each wellness exam, we examine your pet from nose to tail to ensure they're healthy or to treat any issues if they're not.

At Crossroads Animal Care Center we incorporate state-of-the-art equipment to provide exceptional care to our patients. From radiology and ultrasound to our dental services and the lab equipment we have the ability to pursue multiple avenues of in-house diagnostics to give your pets the best care possible. We see each pet as an individual and make our clients part of the decision making process for their pet's medical treatment. At Crossroads, the doctor will take their time developing a treatment plan that is appropriate for your pet based on the presenting conditions.

Your pet may already have an ID tag, but a microchip provides a permanent form of identification to increase the chances of a safe recovery, should your pet ever become separated from you. Crossroads Animal Care Center is proud to offer the HomeAgain microchip, which is accepted internationally. About the size of a grain of rice, each microchip is encoded with the pet owner's contact information and can be scanned by most pet shelters nationwide. As a result, microchipping has helped thousands of lost pets become reunited with their owners every year.

Vaccinations are just as valuable to animals as they are to humans. Vaccinating your pet will not only keep them healthy, but it will also ensure you and your family aren't at risk for animal diseases that can be transferred to humans such as rabies and Lyme disease. There are two types of vaccines for pets: core and non-core vaccines. Core vaccines are the immunizations that every pet should receive, while non-core vaccines are recommended for pets on a case-by-case basis depending on their needs.

We understand that a surgical procedure can be stressful for you and your pet. Your pet's safety and comfort are our highest priority. Crossroads Animal Care Center is equipped with an advanced surgical suite, designed to accommodate surgical patients for everything from routine spay and neuter procedures to more complex soft-tissue, orthopedic, and emergency vet services. Prior to surgery, each patient undergoes a thorough physical examination and pre-anesthetic blood testing. These tests not only give us a more complete picture of your pet's health, but also allow us to develop an anesthetic protocol for your pet.

When a physical exam is not enough to diagnose a pet's condition, we rely on diagnostic technology, including ultrasound. Ultrasound is a non-invasive advanced imaging technique that uses sound waves to provide a moving image of your pet's internal organs in real-time. Crossroads Animal Care Center has invested in Advanced Color Flow Doppler Ultrasound, the latest in veterinary ultrasound technology. We also use this technology to help guide many diagnostic procedures, such as cystocentesis (a procedure that involves placing a needle into the bladder through the abdomen to collect a urine sample) and fine-needle aspirates (biopsy procedure).
