Contemporary veterinary medicine involves a collaboration between primary care practitioners and veterinary specialists. At Cross Creek Animal Clinic, we place optimizing your pets' care as our top priority. In the event of an illness, injury, or other situation that your pet may have, our job includes providing a diagnosis and analysis of what is going on with your pet and communication with you to address your concerns and to decide on a treatment plan.

Additionally, it is our job to provide regular wellness care for your pet and to maintain communication with you, providing you with guidance throughout your pet's life to avoid pitfalls and keep your pet on a healthy track.

David Hale, DVMDavid R. Hale, D.V.M., is a 1984 graduate of the University of Florida's College of Veterinary Medicine. He practiced at Hollywood Animal Hospital prior to moving to Tallahassee. We usually notice that our pet has bad breath. Almost always this is because of diseased teeth and gums in our pets' mouths. The problem with dental disease is that it is life shortening and painful for the pet. The worse it is, the shorter your pet's life is likely to be and the more chronic pain there is.
Kitten plans are designed to get your new kitten properly examined, immunized, de-wormed and to devise a plan of action to maintain control of internal and external parasites. Please note that we vaccinate using only non-adjuvated, Pure Vax products (B-I, formerly Merial) for cats. Kitten plans also include topical discussions such as socialization, play, litter box and scratching post matters in addition to indoor and outdoor safety concerns. The cost of the plans varies with the age of your kitten at the start of the plan.
After exam, please perform all necessary diagnostic and treatment procedures deemed necessary. After exam, please call me with an estimate of the cost of recommended procedures or treatment. Your availability to take our call will help ensure prompt treatment of your pet. Full payment is expected at the time of pick up. Prior arrangements must be made with the staff BEFORE the visit if there are extenuating circumstances.

Everyone there is nice and understanding. Doc is very knowledgeable of issues. I just had my dog Bussy euthanized as he had cancer and could not walk with other ailments. He was 24 and a big black lab. Dr. Hale, techs and staff were soo caring to Bussy and me. This place is so wonderful! My other dog just got very sick with a host of issues and she was there almost a week.

They did many tests and gave her fluid iv as she was very dehydrated and got an update everyday. They work very hard and it's like home away from home for my dogs who also go in for their shots and boarding.

We have been taking our two dogs to Cross Creek for the past 2.5 years now. Dr. Hale is very knowledgeable and is great with our dogs. We have had a good experience with them until recently. Due to COVID, appointments are now drop-off only. Drop-off is not an issue, but the appointments usually last ~8+, which is significantly longer than we would like to leave our dogs.

In addition, we recently took one of our dogs in for a rash. They found an overgrowth of bacteria on his skin, so they prescribed him an antibiotic. However, his rash did not improve much even after about two weeks, so we attempted to call them to find out if there was something else we could try. We tried to get in touch with them several times over the course of the week.

The main phone number always leads to a full mailbox. While the secondary number goes through to voicemail, our calls are never returned. It is unfortunate that we have to part ways with the vet, but we cannot stand to see our dog suffer like this.

Extremely friendly and helpful. After a vet visit you can usually smell the stress from a dog but when I take mine here I never can. He loves it at this vet and both the techs and vet are caring people who always give detailed reports.

Dr. Hale has been our vet for nearly 20 years. He listens well to humans, is compassionate and thoughtful, his staff is stellar. He correctly diagnosed a treatable illness my cat had when the emergency vet diagnosed a death-sentence disease. I trust his knowledge and honesty.

10/10. Knowledgeable doctors and staff, who love our animals. They offer multiple means of communication voice, video, and texting! (Which is most convenient for me, personally.) Their website is full of information, and direct links to keep on top of any prescriptions, special diets, etc. As of Feb 3rd, 2021, the office is continuing its Covid protocols (such as drop off only, extra cleaning, etc), small precautions, which make visits take a bit longer, but staff keeps you updated the entire time; I always feel safe leaving my animals with them and appreciate the extra measures taken to ensure health and safety of everyone.

Cross Creek Animal Clinic is the absolute best vet I have ever taken one of my dogs to. Dr. Hale is an outstanding veterinarian. He and the whole staff at Cross Creek Animal Clinic are exceptional. They treated my very large dog with patience, understanding and love. Dr. Hale took the time to call me and explain everything about my dog's treatment, and he gave me suggestions about how to improve her health.

He did not try to up-sell me on any unnecessary treatments like so many other vets have done. The pricing is reasonable and not over the top. I am so glad I found Cross Creek Animal Clinic to care for my dog!

My experience is always been 5 stars when going to this clinic. Dr. Hale has been a blessing and Sheila has always been very sweet. To be honest the entire staff is impeccable. It's very comfortable here and has a feeling of warmth and comfort that all my dogs have always responded well to. It's not a secret that Dr. Hale is a fantastic vet. His knowledge is impressive and he keeps up to date with the latest trends in veterinary medicine.

He takes a very natural approach in my opinion because he seems to want to get to the root of a problem. Not just throw medicine and procedures at you that may or may not work. I've been to other clinics in the area who over Medicate and push services for what is obviously profit only. With no actual intent to figure out what's best for your pet. You can't go wrong at this Animal Clinic. Give it a chance. I am sure you will fall in love with his whole staff as I have!

I have had all three of my dogs as patients at Cross Creek Animal Clinic. Dr. Hale is great with my pets and is very knowledgeable and experienced. He always gives you as much information as possible including all the science and technical terms I can't understand, but he is good at explaining. The staff is always friendly and helpful and love on my dogs every time we come in which is great because they end up enjoying the visit instead of having anxiety. I would recommend Cross Creek to anyone for their vet/animal needs.

I've been seeing Dr Hale since 2006. He and Lynn have been amazing with my dogs and cats. Years ago, when we had to put our cats down we could not have asked for a more compassionate staff. Dr Hale cares about every animal he sees. Recently we had a large tumor show up on one of our corgis. Because of the type and placement we were very concerned.

The staff kept us updated before and after surgery. I never had a doubt that Bristol was in great hands. Here's a photo of Talladega and Bristol heading to see Lynn and friends at CCAC. The other is Bristol comfortably waking from surgery. Thanks again for all your love for our fur babies, Dr Hale!
