Services
K, is a native of North Georgia. She was born to be a veterinarian to care for all creatures great and small. As a daughter of a veterinarian, she grew up with a "backyard menagerie" that included not only dogs, cats and traditional farm animals, but ostriches, emus, llamas, peacocks, and more. It was not uncommon to find her caring for an injured baby deer, bird, or squirrel with the hopes of returning it to the wild. At a very young age, her veterinary career began as a kennel attendant and as an assistant helping her father on Saturdays.
During every physical examination, we perform a "nose to tail" evaluation. We listen to the heart and lungs, evaluate vision and hearing, inspect the teeth, scan the coat and skin, palpate the abdomen and examine joints and muscles. We also discuss behavior at home, diet and lifestyle. This helps us develop a complete picture of your pet's health.
DENTISTRY Because great dental care means your pet lives a longer, happier life by your side. And here, we will never settle for anything less than the best. Pet Dental Care Creekside Animal Hospital of Cumming, Georgia, provides complete veterinary dental care for dogs and cats. Keeping your pet's mouth clean and healthy is about more than bright, shiny teeth and fresh breath.
A fully-trained veterinary and technical staff, ensuring the safest, state-of-the-art surgery for your pet. Radiosurgery We are proud to offer radiosurgery at Creekside Animal Hospital of Cumming, GA, which is similar to, but often more superior than, laser surgery. The advanced high-frequency radio energy reduces surgery time by safely cutting and coagulating tissue simultaneously, thereby minimizing blood loss and post-operative discomfort. The radiosurgery technique is especially beneficial in the removal of growths in the skin or mouth.

We have 4 kids/dogs that have been treated by Dr. Dane for the last year. They are all rescues and have had health and behavioral issues that have been a challenge for not only us but for Dr. Dane as well. He has been very calm, patient, informative, resourceful and professional. I would highly recommend him and his team. Hands down the best veterinarian experience I have had in the 2 decades of being a pet owner. Thank you to your team for all that you do.

After a month of making no progress with my dog, I brought her to Creekside. This is the place! The building is clean and professional. The employees are caring, kind, and knowledgeable. Dr. Knudsen is fantastic! If you are looking for a great practice to take care of your fur baby, you can't go wrong.

Creekside has been the primary care provider for the entire 13 years of our "perfect puppy" Brady's life, starting back when Dr. Sam was the owner. With the exception of a short stint when I think there was another owner in between, this practice has been nothing short of exceptional. Dr. Dane, Dr. Julie and Dr. Tarabula show the utmost care and compassion for all of us.

We are family to them. Twice they gave us more time with him by performing surgery to remove cancerous masses. He lost his spleen the first time and then part of his liver the second time. After each operation, he returned to his normal perfect self. And ALWAYS, along the way, they give you their utmost attention. I have never complained when I had to wait, because I know that they are giving that same attention to another family with a furbaby they love. Dr. Dane and Dr. Julie make an amazing team.

The last act of service they performed for us was to walk us through the last 24 hours of Brady's life. We needed them and they knew what we needed. My last view of our furbaby was seeing Dr. Dane carry him tenderly and respectfully after we said our goodbyes. I don't know when we will add a new four legged friend to our family, but I do know that Creekside will be our veterinarians and as Dr. Julie said. "They'll find you". Thank you, Bless you and GO DAWGS!

Coal Mountain would not take me midday on a Saturday even though I expressed great concern about my best friend who had gone their his entire 10+ year life. They said they were booked - sorry, but that was that. I had been taking my cats there for over 15 years. Creekside worked me in even though they would be closing very soon. It turns out we had to put my baby down.

They were extremely caring and I appreciate everything they did. The front desk ladies and the doctors were genuinely concerned and sympathetic to me and my cat. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs veterinarian services.

My baby, Ariel, was very, very sick. She is my soul dog and I couldn't stand seeing her in pain and so lethargic. She was diagnosed with masses on her spleen and her belly was slowly filling with blood. Her spleen was removed and within a few days, it was like nothing had happened at all. The doctors and staff at Creekside were wonderful with my girl and I can't thank them enough. Dr. Dane even sent me a post-op photo. And her scar healed beautifully!

Dr. Julie, Dr. Dane, and the entire staff at Creekside take the best care of our animals. In addition to routine appointments, they have helped us navigate chronic illness, TPLO surgery, seizures, and saying goodbye to one of our sweet pups. They provide solid advice, referrals, and options, and they clearly love our animals. Thank you, Creekside, for providing care we can always trust!

Have used Creekside for 6 years. Loved Dr Sam and was happy with John. Have spent thousands of dollars there. Recently I decided to cut my costs so I went elsewhere for the annual shots. The new vet swore that 2 of the shots were 3-year shots and weren't needed and didn't do them. Took Mulligan in for a grooming at Creekside and got a call that his shots were only 1 year and he needed them. Told them to just groom him.

Then got a call from the vet that he needed those shots and that it was unsafe for the other animals there to be exposed to Mulligan. Wow, what a shock. Immediately went to pick up Mulligan. Natalie the groomer was friendly but the other 2 receptionists did not acknowledge me. No hello, goodbye, or eye contact. Amazing. Mulligan now has the unnecessary shots, a new groomer, and a new vet. Hopefully, the new people will be better than what I recently experienced. Couldn't be any worse. There has been major turnover in vets and the front desk at Creekside since the new owners took over. Wonder why.

My beloved fur pet Bichon suddenly had a disease over the summer and I had to decide to euthanize her. It was one of the hardest decisions I have ever had to do. The staff at Creekside tried everything and offered options but with her deterioration it wasn't plausible. It was especially hard on that day when we watched our fur pet slipping away so fast.

The staff at Creekside Animal Hospital was AMAZING! Dr. Shelby Hixon cried with me and when we left I felt like I had a friend standing with me during the whole thing. Since then we have got a new fur baby. The staff at Creekside has been amazing and I couldn't ask for better customer service. My puppy has never felt nervous going in there, in fact she gets excited to see all her friends. I feel very blessed to be a customer at Creekside Animal hospital. They feel like family.

Do not go here incase of an emergency. We were sent away without anyone so much as looking at my pup. At the time we thought he had a bite of some kind (snake, scorpion etc.) and had very little control of his back legs. I was a nervous wreck and would have appreciated someone taking a look and ensuring me that he would be okay to transport to the emergency vet. Instead they had the person at the front desk tell me that it would be better take him 20 min. Down 400. It was not a very good experience to say the least.

I was disappointed with a recent visit I had at Creekside Animal Hospital. My cat was seriously ill and we had come to the tough decision to put him down. The whole staff was incredibly rude and thoughtless when it came to the actual process. It was an emotional time and what was needed was professionalism and care. What your doctor and vet assistant gave was attitude and inappropriate behavior and actions.

The vet assistant should be fired because he apparently thinks it's "all about him." It's not, it's about the precious animal and family that chose to make the decision. The doctor should go back to school. She wanted to euthanize without sedating. She clearly does not have any confidence in her skill or profession. She only cared about euthenizing and not about how much the animal was stressed out. Also, They did not use correct pronouns. They used "it" within earshot of the owners. The animal is a part of the family and important.

After trying a few different local offices, Dr. Adams is my little Leo's regular Vet. Somehow Dr. Adams is able to give Leo his shots and check injuries all while whispering sweet nothings to him and still being friends. I personally like Dr. Adams and the entire staff at Creekside Animal Hospital but what's more important is my pet, my little friend is comfortable and happy going there for all of his treatments.
