Craig Road Animal Hospital As a young boy Dr. Mychajlonka knew that he wanted to become a veterinarian. This childhood dream of veterinary medicine led him from his home town of Nanty Glo, Pennsylvania, to Phoenix, Arizona, where he completed his undergraduate training at Northern Arizona University. Dr. Mychajlonka has been a fixture at Craig Road Animal Hospital since it's founding in 1996 and is fondly known by many of his clients as Dr.

Mych. He serves as attending veterinarian to the Nevada Task Force search and rescue dogs.

Life long dog owner here.
I do not recommend you take your loved pets here.
This establishment has a major ego problem that hinders their judgement.
The staff is rude and extremely arrogant, specifically Demsy, Dr Mych and Chad (Dr Mych's brother).
There are many many vets in this town and most are much better quality and definitely has more professional staff than Craig Road Animal Hospital.

Moved here from Washington State and never thought I would find a vet for my baby anywhere close to what I had. Craig Road Animal Hospital exceeded what I hoped for. Their Veterinary Doctors and Staff are dedicated to making sure that your fur baby is well taken care of, and everything is clearly explained to you. The fees for services are very reasonable and you will not be disappointed.

05-23-2022-Editing my review for the boarding offered at Craig Road Animal Hospital. I still stand by my original 5 star review if the veterinary staff. We reached out to the boarding staff in early April to see if they would be comfortable caring for our dog while we went on vacation. He has had some challenging behavior in the past. We agreed to do a trial run while we were still in town in case of any issues.

We paid $160 for boarding and sedatives for them to keep him one night. When we picked up we were told he did fine with the sedative. We were told to start the meds the night before we dropped off. We had a boarding reservation in May- Tickets purchased to Disneyland, hotels booked, time off work arranged. One day before our reservation we called to see if we could make a slight tweak.

We were informed that we did not have a reservation. They decided he was not a good fit but never told us. if we had not called we would have been left on the day of our trip with no where for our dog. I asked to speak with the Supervisor. She stated that he did fine with the day staff however not so great with the night staff. She was not aware until 2 days after we picked him up because it was her days off.

She canceled our reservation and never bothered to tell us. A month passed and we thought were were all set to go on our trip. When I expressed my frustration, she said they would take him if we could not make any other arrangements but it would not be good for his mental health. They were not comfortable handling him so they would just leave him in his kennel the entire week.

This was not an option. My kids were crying as they thought we were going to have to cancel our trip. I found another kennel that agree to take him. I gave them all the info on his quirks and explained how to interact with him. They said he did great the entire week. He played with staff, no sedatives, zero incidents. They even said they did not understand why the other kennel (Craig Road) had any issues with him-They described him as a total sweetheart, snugglebug.

My family has been going to Craig Road animal hospital since I was a kid. 25 years later they are the only ones I trust when my pets need care. We adopted a lab from the shelter less than a year ago. The amazing staff at Craig Road have saved his life twice with two emergency surgeries. Thank you Dr. Larkin, Dr. Mychajlonka, Dr. Whitcraft and Dr. Goldfield! Without your care we would no longer have Oreo with us!

I feel as time goes on, the customer services declines. As I entered I wasn't even greeted when there was about 5 people standing at the front (the ones in purple scrubs). I had an appointment at 9:30a, but wasn't even taken to an exam room till 10:12a. Then of course waited another 30 minutes. The doctor finally came in, I was questioning wondering where the cheese and or peanut butter was for my pup to make the vaccines easier for my pup like they always offer.

The doctor stated "If you want us to give your dog cheese we have to take him to the back." The doctor was Celia Galanti. That made me feel a little suspicious because previous appointments I came they would bring the cheese with the vaccines. So it made me feel the doctor wasn't accommodating and was lazy. Honestly I'm a little disappointed, I am debating if I want to continue my service with Craig Road Animal Hospital. The staff and the doctor made me feel that the customer service has declined tremendously.

I have a Savannah Greater Northern Lynx, and due to the nature of him being a rescue, he has terrible issue being cage reactive. I love the fact that Craig Road is so amazing on how easy it was to make and rearrange appointments due to his nature. Dr. Larkin and her staff ROCK! The knowledge, the friendliness and the availability to work with our furr boy is outstanding. I highly recommend them 200%

Just a note about my positive experience with Craig Road animal hospital and Dr Aimee Trujillo who has worked with my German Shepherd Marley twice in the last 4 months and am very happy to report positive feedback with my experience with her. Very friendly, positive and willingness to help me with my pet. Received a call from her today stating her blood work taken yesterday was all good and making sure I had no issues with my prescription order and said she would follow up with the pharmacy. Very pleasant experience nice to feel like someone on your side helping out! Thanks again Dr Trujillo i will be calling on you again

1/7/22 I called the Craig Rd Animal Hospital because I needed to obtain a copy of the prescription for my dog in order to buy her food and treats from PetSmart. I was told by Jessica that it would be texted to be. But a few hours later and I never received it. I called back while in PetSmart and spoke to Angelina. I was wearing two face masks due to the raging pandemic.

She accused me of yelling at her and kept talking over me. I was told by a PetSmart employee that they could talk to PetSmart’s vet and I’d be able to get what I needed. But Angelina refused to talk to their vet. So I hung up and called back from my car. When I asked to talk to an office manager, Angelina, who answered the phone, claimed to be the manager. However, I’m sure she is indeed not the manager.

After explaining that this is not the first time trying to get a prescription to get food for our dog who has pancreas. This is ridiculous what they make your go through. I’m mean it’s not like I’m trying to get drugs for my dog. Their services have need going downhill for the last few years. We’ve been taking our dogs here for 15 years and have to drive over 65 miles to get there. I think it’s time to look for a new vet.

I had appointments on 2 separate days for different cats. Dr. Jansen was really knowledge and caring. I appreciate how she made me feel comfortable with the treatment options I was able to afford and didn't try to pressure me in to higher cost treatments. The next day Dr. Bordman was very thorough and kind. I appreciate the way she handled advising me on my Shinobi's weight without fat shaming him or making me feel bad.(he's 15lbs should be 11 FYI).

Also Christy was so helpful and personable. Shinobi had an accident in his carrier on the way over and she jumped right in and cleaned the carrier for me and helped me clean Shinobi up, all the while being so upbeat and pleasant. I've been going to this Vet office for almost 14 years and have never had a negative experience.

I took my dog in for an earache and allergy review and received a complete exam to look for the cause.of her distress. Found not only did she have an ear infection but an eye ulcer. Treatment was explained and I was given different options to get her better. Great experience, doctors and staff. Highly recommend.

I was happy that I was able to get a same-day appointment for my baby who needed to be looked at. But the appointment time was really close to another appointment I had that day so sure enough I was 15 minutes late to the vet appointment. They gave me two options one to be immediately seen for a $250 fee in the emergency clinic or wait an hour and. a half in their waiting room even though I live five blocks away and hope that we would get seen in that amount of time.

I chose the second option but I used the first five minutes of that to call around two another location and found a place that would take us in within the hour. So I left. When there's veterinary clinics on every other street corner in town I would think that it would be worth it to try to earn the business of someone who owns five dogs and a cat, lives nearby, and was there for a very minor recommendation and inspection. Fortunately I found a place who does want my business

My three month old puppy had an corneal ulcer. We brought him here because it was nearby. After they examined him (a full physical and request for stool sample which I did not ask for) they prescribed some oral meds and eye drops. One $300 bill later he seemed to be getting better as his eye was less cloudy. On his follow up visit they said it got worse and that he would have to either have some costly surgery or get his eye removed.

We had them give us more medicine because it seemed to be working well. We decided to take him to a different vet for his next follow up. Not only was it less expensive because there were no unnecessary tests but they said his eye was 90% cured they sent us home with only 2 medications and told us to give them to him only for 10 days and then it will heal naturally.

It has been about 3 weeks since that visit and his eye is completely healed. My dog could have senselessly lost his eye because of their greed and that doesn't sit right with me. Please don't take your pets here.

We absolutely love Craig Road Animal Hospital! We have been clients since 2009 and have never had a complaint! Every vet that has helped us has been wonderful. Yes, we have our favorites and they treat us like family, never rushing us through our appointments, always listening and giving advice when needed. I can't imagine going anywhere else!!! We have referred several friends as well. We can trust them with our fur babies!!!

Clean, friendly, and professional. Bought my 9 pups and mama dog in and the staff was great! The wait was not long. They were informative, and showed a lot of love to my pups. Our mama dog seemed conformable with the staff handling her pups. We just moved to this side of town and have found our new vet.

This animal hospital kept raising my 18+ year old cat's insulin dose then I had to eventually put my cat down for insulin overdose. They initially say they worried about hypoglycemia, yet they kept raising his dose (invoices attached.) They did not take into account that car rides, and being around a bunch of other animals all day will raise blood suagar numbers in animals. Initially, Dr. Tujillo did a great work, she is a good vet.

After that though Dr Whitcraft just did not have time to breif me on his numbers, and reasons why his doses are raising. They can do a better job of briefing customers, and giving us the paperwork we pay for. I would have questioned more. I did not receive some of his paperwork when initially I paid my invoices. Then I got them to email me the paperwork (glucose numbers & important instructions) A WEEK after I put him down.

They said "with his age he may have had concurrent issues." I understand that he was old, but my reponse would be then "why keep raising his dose?" I don't want to come off mad. He lived over 18 years, so somewhere in there we did something right. We are just hoping this review will help out the next sets of customers.

Worst hospital ever they only care about the money not the health of your pets they let my puppy die because I was not going to give them another penny. Because I chose to not euthanize her they injured her. throat for she could have lots of pain when she tried to eat. The pain was to unbearable for her and she didn't make it this is all their fault NEVER COME HERE! They'll just injure your dogs more in order for you could waste more money with them.

We just received my daughters little rat who passed away back from Lone Mountain—who uses Craig Road Animal Hospital for cremation. She received the most lovely bag with her Remy tucked away in a beautiful wooden box. She also received a plaque with his name on it and a beautiful poem with his paw print and tuft of his fur. When she lost Remy it broke her little heart. You guys are wonderful. You gave her a piece of Remy to remember forever. Thank you.

We have used Craig road Animal Hospital for all my puppies shots and visits, she recently ate a sock and had to have surgery and stay overnight for 2 nights they were very good at communicating everything they were doing and keeping us updated, she is happy and back to normal and the surgery cost a lot less than we originally thought. I would recommend Craig road to anyone who is looking for a vet!

If you read reviews saying there is a wait this is somewhat true, usually we would wait in the car for 15-30 minutes but this is because of the high mass of pets they take care of as well as emergencies (as my dog was), I would usually just take my dog for a walk while we waited, well worth it in my opinion!
