Cottonwood Veterinary Hospital - Harve R Chappell

We have been taking our pet to this facility for a few years now. It seems that for the first 2 years.things were great. The examinations were thorough and communicating with them went well. Of course, with the advent of COVID, things did change. We understand that. But it seems something has changed now and not for the better. First of all.when you call, no one answers the phone.

Our calls are always forwarded to the voice mail. Assuring us that a reply with be within 24 hours. The failure for this is 100%. No one ever calls back. So it takes repeated calls and days later a reply will be made. Our last wellness check was far from thorough. A temperature was not taken, nor were the lungs listened to. When my wife returned and shared this with me.we began looking for another place for vet services. The final straw was calling on Tuesday. Today, Friday, no one has called us back. We're done!

They have taken care of my animals for years. I would recommend them to everyone. If you have little time but have a question, you can always text and they will get back to you shortly

OMVH has been my vet for twenty years. I have also relied on them for twenty years for health care and boarding. I have always trusted their medical care and advice. I always knew my babies would be loved as well as cared for in their boarding facility. I especially appreciate their compassion as I have lost my beloved fur babies. Their compassion and tenderness didn't take away the pain but made it easier to bear.

We had to make the unfortunate decision to euthanize our 13 year old dog. Our usual vet was closed. They recommended Orchard Mesa Vet. They were overbooked, yet got me in. The entire staff was very compassionate and the vet (Nancy, I believe), was exceptional. Thank you.

Got me and my dog in when my normal vet was out of town, it cost more than I hoped to treat him, but they did a great job and explained all the pricing. JACK is doing great!

This team is the best! I have been there countless times for many different types of either appointments, emergencies, or even just calling them for general questions. I have never felt so confident that my animals are being taken care of with the best team, I couldn't thank them enough for such an amazing experience everytime I've been there. Dr Tonya is phenomenal. We have used her for many years. I've had 4 pets seen by their office and they treated all wonderful. You can truly tell they love their work and the animals. They were compassionate when we had to put down our 10 yr old, Elvis. Even if it's been a long time since we've seen Dr Tonya, she remembers us and asks about our other pets and families. The office staff has always helped us and they always want to say hi to the animals when you bring them in while waiting. In short. We love this veterinary clinic.

We are new to the Grand Junction area, and two of our housecats got an upper respiratory infection. I have called Orchard Mesa Vet Hospital TWICE and got the same treatment: "Oh, we can get you in in about a week, and we'll need to charge your credit card IN ADVANCE of the visit in case you don't show up." I asked a few questions to which I got evasive answers, which included vaccination status of the employees.

I called again today to see if there was a different response and the reply was "Well, we're pretty busy so I think you may want to call around to other Vets in the area." No references, no phone numbers, nothing. I will never call them again.

Not happy at all with my experience would never recommend. Our dogs got into a fight took them here they charged me a deposit for my dogs to be basically be looked at. Then came out with a quote for around $1600 for them to be worked on we got ahold of our vet who could get it done at half the cost. Asked for them to refund not all but I thought maybe about half of what we put down. we got a whole $27.30 back.

They did not treat my dogs but then the vet proceeded to tell me I need to be careful with having these dogs around my kids. They have never so much as nipped at one of my children. Just because their breed they were deemed dangerous. NEVER BEEN TREATED THIS BAD BY ANY VET BEFORE. I will never be back and never recommend.

We have had several pets and all of them have been in the care of OMVH at one point or another. They have always taken such great care of our animals, and have gone out of their way to make our pets and us feel comfortable. At no point have I ever had a reason to worry about our animals while they are being treated by the staff and would highly recommend this Hospital to anyone who has need of their services.
