Firstly, our pets can't speak, they cannot tell us if they feel off color or unwell or have any other indicators of internal illness. We need to examine them every 6-12 months as well as run some routine screening tests to detect underlying disease BEFORE it is clinically apparent. Secondly, pets will actively mask signs of illness until late in the course of disease.

Living in Springfield, we immediately ran to the local pet emergency room when my cat started to symptoms that were alarming. Unfortunately, they were full from a "busy weekend" and said "sorry we aren't accepting new patients". In a panic we contacted Corvallis because we knew time was of the essence. They said they could see my kitty so we rushed to the Corvallis kitty ER and they were very fast to bring her in and check her vitals to make sure she was stable which was very comforting especially when we are still following COVID policy of social distancing and we were required to stay in our vehicle so we had to hand the cat out the window when they rushed her in.

Overall their communication was excellent, keeping us updated with test results and letting us know our options the entire time. Once they ruled everything out they gave us a plan of action to ensure we wouldn't have to visit them again for a long time and sent us home with medicine, food, and a game plan so we knew how to care for the fur baby. Although they're expensive and when all tests are coming back with typical results it pressured us to continue to test further and further until we not only exhausted their testing capabilities but also our pocketbook. Sadly, we left with just as many questions and worries as we arrived with, but at least the staff was kind and informed and very understanding from the start.

Also while we waited the 6-7 hours for the tests to come back they allowed us to use their bathroom which was awesome because holding it while being forced to stay in their parking lot was kinda terrible. But that's the least they could do I suppose because we walked away with a ten bill debt. But at least we got the piece of mind that our kitty was healthy and seemingly problem-free.

Dr. Gross and everyone on staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They're the most trustworthy team in town for taking care of my two cats and small dog.

Dr. Gross and his staff are great! He is caring and does an excellent job with animal care. He is also very affordable and methodical in regards to the diagnostics he runs and the prognosis he gives. Could not recommend him highly enough.

Dr. Gross is 100% the best veterinarian my family has ever had. I have been bringing my 3 dogs (ages 16yo, 11yo, & 9yo) to CVH for 5 years and could not be more pleased with the service and care we receive. Dr. Gross and staff are all so wonderful and kind- they always take the time and effort to make sure my dogs have what they need to live their best life.

We took our kitty here when she got sick very suddenly and were heartbroken to learn it would be best to put her down. We paid this facility for a clay paw print of my kitten, paperwork was filled out and turned in immediately. A year later we learn the paperwork was somehow lost, they never turned it in, and my cats paw (along with any hope of getting the impression) is gone.

When you lose your fur baby so quickly and pay for just one little piece of them you expect to receive it. While I understand that things happen, I would recommend going somewhere else if you'd like to avoid the situation we've been through, and reading the one star reviews before going here.

SIX STARS! Seriously, all the staff is so kind and enthusiastic; everyone's always so friendly with me and my dog! I'm very protective with my pup and am pretty cautious about who I take advice from regarding her, and I totally trust the vet and vet techs with any and all matters. (Also, they're LGBT+ friendly!) Thank you so much to the Corvallis Veterinary Hospital for taking such good care of the two of us.

Dr. Gross has seen both of my cats and my dog since 2 months old. He is the first vet where my animals love him and don't get nervous going. Any time something was wrong, I was able to make appointments easily. He would always call me to check up on the animals to make sure they are doing okay. He is a little more expensive than other vets but it was worth it. The small environments and quiet rooms made my animals very comfortable going. His staff is extremely caring and always take the time to answer any questions I have.
