From Our Website

CityPaws is proud to be part of the vibrant DC community. We are saddened by the events that unfolded on Wednesday at our US Capitol and the fear it instilled in our hospital teams and neighbors. We hope moving forward that 2021 can only get better and that we can all work together to respect one another and remain peaceful and inclusive. At CityPaws Animal Hospital, caring for your pet is not only our expertise; it's what we love to do. Instead of just treating our patients, we place a high value on developing long-term relationships with members of the community, with two veterinary hospital locations serving U Street Corridor, Logan Circle, 14th Street, Cleveland Park, Glover Park, Mount Pleasant and surrounding areas.

CityPaws Animal Hospital officially opened its doors in April 2006 by Drs. Wendy Knight and Sarah Bowman. Over the past several years, they have worked hard to assemble a team of caring, compassionate and highly skilled veterinary professionals that share the same dedication of delivering the highest quality veterinary care while also building strong and lasting client relationships. It is through these things that we can establish a foundation of good health for our patients. We are a full service veterinary hospital, providing a complete list of comprehensive medical, dental and surgical care for dogs and cats.

To be eligible for a virtual visit a pet must have a standing Veterinary-Client-Patient-Relationship with CityPaws. This means an animal must have had a physical exam performed by a CityPaws doctor within the last year. Any medical emergencies such as seizures, respiratory distress, trauma, collapse etc should not be scheduled as virtual visits, they should be seen on emergency basis as hospital visits. The cost will be $40 for a 15 minute virtual visit. If it is decided the patient needs to come into the hospital for a doctor exam after the virtual visit, the client will be charged a recheck fee and should be seen within 7 days of the virtual visit.
