Full Service Veterinary Hospital providing Comprehensive Wellness Care, Diagnostics, Urgent Care, Internal Medicine, Surgery and Behavior Consultation for Treasured Family Pets. Ultimate Anesthetic Safety- We run the safest anesthesia of any general practice I have ever worked at! That and pain management, I won't skimp on, ever!
A Comprehensive physical exam whenever our patients are brought in for wellness or sick visits because we believe in treating the whole pet, not just its parts. The following examinations are performed with EVERY Wellness and Sick Pet Visit at Cimarron Animal Hospital.
Pet Friends Forever Wellness Packages: Discounts, Free Exams, Vaccinations, nail trims and more! Individually designed for pets with special needs to make caring for those pets easier too!. We are bonded more with our pets than ever before. In today's high stress world, many of us prefer a relaxing moment on the computer with a cup of tea at hand and a warm cat in our lap than the swirling hubbub of a party full of people. We want our furry companions to be healthy forever, but this high tech world has raised the cost of veteirnary care, along with everything else.
Different pets lead different lifestyles, so they need Individualized Preventive veterinary care plans. Unlike Big Box vet clinics, we tailor your pet's Wellness Services for what he needs (not what Corporate says "every" pet should have). We'll ask you questions about your pet's lifestyle and environment to make sure she is protected as much as she needs to be!

After calling 5 different numbers for other veterinarian offices, they answered. They were about $150.00 more expensive than my regular vet office, but they actually answer their phones and got us in to see my cat in a reasonable time frame. Nice people, good doctors, just a bit more expensive than what I'm used to.

We were looking for a new vet, and after adopting and older dog from PACC, we decided to go to Cimarron for a wellness check. Our new dog was so terrified, and the techs and Dr were so great with him. I am going to transfer my other dog's here for care and wellness. Thank you so much for what you do!

We have had a lot of Veterinarians over the years, however none have been as caring and trustworthy like Cimarron Animal Hospital, Dr. Bonke and her wonderful caring staff. They have a new Veterinarian Vala (our dog) and myself got to meet and she is also great with the animals. Trust me, you can't go wrong with Cimarron Animal Hospital for great care of your four legged family member.

Cimarron Animal Hospital was very accepting, caring, courteous, and proactive with our cat Allegro. Miranda who took our calls, and spoke to us, was very courteous, kind, professional, and patient. The veterinarian was very good and knowledgeable. She spoke concisely and to our level about Allegro's condition and health. We couldn't ask or find a better animal hospital and veterinarian, in such a short period of time, when Allegro's health rapidly deteriorated. Thank-you.

I brought in a cat with some oral pain. They took a look at him and let me know that he has terrible teeth and they may need to do a full mouth extraction after getting an x-ray to see how bad his mouth was. They did some lab work, prescribed some antibiotics, and pain meds. Out the door for almost $400. We set up the next appointment for the procedure where they'd put him under anesthesia, take x-rays and, I assumed, do the dental work.

The big day rolls around, I took the day off, bring him in, and wait for the call to tell me what needed to be done. I get the call just for them to tell me they can't do the work there and I needed to go to a specialist, that'll be $650. Why didn't they tell me that to begin with? Why am I putting my cat through this for essentially nothing? Why am I wasting my time and money there if there was a chance they couldn't do the work?

If I would have known that I would have went straight to the specialist. Now the new place wants to take all new x-rays, antibiotics, etc. What a waste. I'm pretty disgusted with the money grab they did. Dr. Bohnke was honest about the possibility of his full dental extraction but not that she couldn't do the work. Friendly and caring staff I guess but it's kind of hard to look past feeling like you got taken when you're at your most vulnerable with a sick pet.

NOT FOR WORKING DOGS, does not follow the 2021 AAHA Working Dog Guidelines: I was hopeful for this veterinarian because the office staff was so informative and helpful. Unfortunately, if you have a working dog or a sport dog and you are their handler, the veterinarian is unwilling to have you accompany your k9 inside right now. As a handler, this position is unacceptable and under no circumstances would I place my injured dog in an unfamiliar situation where I cannot personally monitor their experiences and response and change/modify their training plan accordingly.

The office staff was kind enough to check with veterinarian, Dr Boenke, who said, "We can take your dog in and if they are anxious or have another issue, we can send them home with sedatives." This statement tells me that the veterinarian has little to no experience with the relationship between working dog and handler. If you're looking for pet care, this might be a nice place. If you have a sport dog or working dog, I would look elsewhere.

Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Reliability, Responsiveness, Value Biggest quack vet in Tucson! Sophia Valdez would have taken every dime out of my pocket if I would have let her! Unneccsary charges! Rude. Never called in my dogs meds. The staff was also rude and not responding to emails Don't go here if you want to take real care care if your babies.

A little pricey, but you can't put a price on happiness and health. I can tell my cat Zeus is feeling better and he is so happy to be back home.

I owe it to their team for not only fitting in my dog between other appointments and giving me multiple ranges of cost for care which made it affordable for me. And because of their care, my dog survived parvo! Beyond grateful :

The team is very compassionate and truly cares for their patients. They always had treats out for their patients. We are from out of town, when my husband had an appt. in Tucson, and Shadow had an appt. the kind caring team would puppy sit for us until the VA. appt was over. They said Shadow, a Bernese Mountain Dog, was a lot of fun to watch. This wonderful team would still be my vet, but I lost Shadow to cancer at 4.5 years. I highly recommend this team!

They took great care of our little kitty! Our 1 year old cat broke his hip and needed emergency care. He ended up needing surgery which went well. We were always welcomed in the office with great enthusiasm. Everyone seemed to love Phoebus even though he was not his best self : Happy to say that he is doing much better now and more snuggly than ever.

Dr. Bohnke and the entire staff are amazing! They care for my dog and bunny like their own. They understand that some dogs are nervous at the vet and provide options to help calm the dog during the visit. Their honesty and empathy are exactly what I need to give me a peace of mind with my furbabies.

I took my cat Kaylee into this office on the recommendation of my friends- when I adopted her from PACC they didn't notice the fact that she had a MASSIVE necrotic abscess. Called and got her into the vet first thing in the morning and I can say with confidence that that decision saved her life. My little kitty had to have several surgical debridements of infected tissues and ended up staying in the hospital.

The staff have always been kind as well as super accommodating; they made visiting her easy during her hospitalization as well. She was treated very well, her cage was always clean, and she herself was kept in very good condition. Weeks after, she is happy, healthy, and on a steady path to recovery! I cannot emphasize enough the quality of care she received here. If you are considering taking your pet into this office, know that they will receive excellent care.

The staff at Cimarron Animal Hospital are one of the most kindest and most sweetest humans ever! And they are doing EVERYTHING in their power to cater to all the needs of every customer especially with the difficulty of the pandemic and all it's rules! They have never failed me and I feel my animals are ALWAYS in great, trustworthy hands! I will always 10/10 recommend them! Keep up the good work and hang in there!

Wonderful service. They took excellent care of my girl. They were kind and gentle with her. The Dr explained everything that went on & what i should do. Very fair prices no unnecessary upselling. I'm so very glad I found them.

If I could rate this place 0 stars I would. I went in with a mass that was TINY at the time concerned as to what it might be. They ran around in circles telling what it MIGHT be giving me different allergy meds instead of testing it or just taking it off. Now, 5 months and a new vet later, I find out that mass was a mass cell tumor (grade 3)and my dog has about 4-6 months without incredibly expensive chemo meds.

Thanks to their incompetence. On top of their lack of concern for my dog, the front desk is lack entirely on their communication and customer service skills. I would call and email and get zero response back and would have to show up to get someone to talk to me. So for something that could have almost been entirely avoided months ago, my dog will now die with an open hole larger than a ping pong ball and a scar larger than my hand.

Love the compassion (I'm a super nervous mom to an aging pooch) and professionalism of Dr. Bohnke and the Cimarron team. They've been my vet since I moved to Tucson a few years back and we couldn't be in better hands.
