Services
Ultrasound
Report
These scans, also known as sonograms, use high frequency sound waves to form images of your pet's body. These images are displayed in real time, allowing our after hours veterinarian to not only see your pet's internal organs, but also observe the heart beating and blood flowing. Ultrasound helps us determine why your pet is exhibiting certain symptoms (for example, your dog may be vomiting due to an ingested object) . Once we confirm the exact cause of your pet's symptoms, then we can proceed with treatment.
Radiology
Report
Radiology is an important, non-invasive diagnostic imaging procedure. Images including x-rays, MRIs and CAT scans can all be used to help diagnose your dogs symptoms or cat symptoms. Radiology tests may be used to look at the heart, broken bones, or identify an intestinal foreign body that your pet ingested. Both of our hospitals are equipped with digital radiology.
Endoscopy
Report
Endoscopy utilizes a flexible scope to allow visualization of parts of the gastrointestional tract (esophagus, stomach, first part of the small intestine and colon) respiratiory system (trachea and main stem bronchi) and the urinary bladder in some dogs. Biopsy samples can be obtained to aid in diagnosis. Some foreign bodies can be removed using this minimally invasive procedure.

I had to rush my 6 year old yorkie/chihuhua mix to the vet yesterday after she was violently vomiting, shaking, and couldn't walk or stand. The vet assistants were so incredibly sweet and calming. They took really great care of my dog. I explained that I was really tight on money and couldn't afford to spend much on my dog, but I would be willing to if I absolutely had to.

They made sure to give me options of different treatments with varying prices. She needed a lot of attention and they recommended keeping her over night, which was the highest price. I was nervous to take her home, so I left her there. When I came back the next day after being charged the highest amount, they voluntarily refunded me $210 for services that they did not end up having to do.

I've never once had a vet or doctor refund me like that. I was so appreciative that they were truthful about what they provided and were willing to provide me a refund without me even asking. My dog didn't seem anxious when I picked her up and is feeling 100% better. Thank you to the team here for helping my baby and being sensitive to my financial limitations.

We had to take our dog to CTVSC on Wednesday for emergency back surgery. He became paralyzed due to a herniated disc. We were a wreck and so emotional. The staff was friendly and compassionate of our feelings and understood that our dog is our family. He had to stay overnight for a few nights which was so hard. But the doctors called us every morning with an update.

They let us know that surgery isn't a 100% fix but we remained optimistic. He got to come home Saturday and we haven't stopped smiling since. Thank you to the techs for taking care of him day and night and thank you to the doctors for taking care of him during surgery. The techs even gave Max a nickname while he was there, "Spicy Taco" says thank you. This is going to be a long road but we are grateful to have such a great team to be by our side.

NOT HAPPY with this place. I took my dog in as an emergency (I am grateful they were able to look at him right away.) The BAD part is they tried to keep my baby for a few days "his body temperature was low & they wanted to keep an eye on him" for $2000. The money wasn't the worst part. After pushing back that I wanted to take him home, (primarily because he had advanced kidney disease-and they knew that) because I knew he wasn't curable, THEN AND ONLY THEN did she (the Dr) admit that the drop in body temperature meant his body was shutting down!

If his body was shutting down, why did they insist on keeping him? My baby passed away that same afternoon! Can you imagine if I wouldn't have pushed back and left him there? My baby would have passed away alone. It was already traumatic enough for me. I cannot even fathom if I would have gotten a call that he passed and I wasn't there. It has been a couple of weeks since this took place.

I waited to do this review because I didn't want to act out emotionally. I am a business owner also and looked at it from that point of view. However, After more thought I am BEYOND LIVID that this business put their own needs over that of a client. #1 rule of any ethical business owner, you always put your client needs first. The staff was friendly but overall I feel their business practices are UNETHICAL! Last photos of my baby

We have been to this location (unfortunately) numerous times with our golden Mumford (8); he had two ACL surgeries, received the most gracious care from staff (on multiple visits) after being attacked by a dog, & most recently he had a meniscal tear surgery. We are so grateful for Dr. Kerpsack & the Central Texas Veterinary Specialty staff, hopeful for pain free days ahead!

Went in tonight because my dog came down with such a nasty and sudden double ear infection that he is crying incessantly and couldn't even get off the floor. The moron at the front desk said they have to take "actual emergencies" first and that we could be waiting up to 8 hours for them to look at something as insignificant as an ear infection! He can't even walk straight.

He fell twice with us trying to get him to the door. Insignificant. Wow. Her lack of compassion for animals disgusts me. Do not take your animal here! My dog is a super healthy one year old male in excellent condition. If I thought it could have waited until tomorrow morning when he could see his normal vet, I would have just waited!! Horrible service. 0 out of 10 stars, do not recommend.

Dr Kerpsack and his assistant Lee are wonderful. Efficient, effective and caring- a rare combo. My cat had stomach lesions and bladder infections and stones for 2 years. Her surgery with Dr Kerpsack fixed the bladder issues and combined with new meds cleared the stomach lesions completely. She’s active, slimmer, and much happier now. Thank you!

I called about 7 places to be turned away, my Yorkie was suffering from a seizure and it wouldn't stop. They admitted him right away and started treatment. The staff was so kind despite me balling my eyes out for my baby, the vet was kind enough to hand me tissues, the staff was wonderful. They sent me an updated inpatient photo and kept me updated and they allow pet visits.

They were pretty busy but quick. I'd recommend them for pet emergencies. After 24hrs he was released and doing better, still has side effects but that was expected, thank you to the staff.

Here's the story. FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE TO GO, DONT TAKE YOUR PET HERE. Our family pet seemed to be at her end stages. I called around and they said to come in as they had a vet available. Our dog had stopped walking earlier that day so I was concerned for her well-being. When we arrived at the clinic, I again mentioned that I thought we might be looking at end stages of our pets life.

She was a 13.5 yr old black lab and due to age and circumstances it didn't seem like it was an injury. Instead of taking a look at her when we arrived, they took her to the back and kept her there for 5hrs. My mother, nephew and myself waited for 5hrs in the waiting room, watching everyone else that arrived after us come and go and have their animals treated.

The behavior was COMPLETELY INHUMANE. I went to the desk a handful of times asking when we would talk to the Vet. I mentioned that I didn't want my dog to go through the stress of a strange place without anyone she knew for hours on end. Our loving pet sat alone, immobile, without family for a TOTAL OF 6 HOURS. The Vet finally calls us into a room to tell us it is probably a mass/cancer, and at her age it would be a loss.

Six hours our pet sat alone FOR NOTHING. I really wish I would have waited until the morning to take her to a Vet that wouldn't have made her feel that way. Don't go here, it's not worth it. Oh and a bill of $260 for all of us to sit from 6:15pm-12:30am and the resolution be what I suspected, which was putting our pet to sleep, completely and totally inexcusable.

First things first. I would like to thank CTVEH for nursing my little baby back to health. He was in real bad shape and this was the second time he was there in a 8 month period. They took good care of him. Amy and Dr. Bevin and I believe the other night doctor last name was Gates and the rest of the staff were compassionate, supportive, good communicators in terms of providing updates on our little one.

Not to mention, the nurses and techs spoiled the heck of out him to the point where he just wants to be held now. Couldn't be more happier with the care given. I would be remiss if I didn't offer some constructive feedback in terms of what could be improved. Overall happy with service but the $ estimates provided for care for your pet are somewhat high and I'm not sure if "worst case scenario" estimates are a good operating model.

Yes you dont like to surprise clients but high end estimates only "breeds" more anxiety on the patient owners who are already probably grief stricken and distraught. In my particular case.my estimate went from $2200 for a 3 night stay to $3500.with 2 extra days that I'm not entirely sure about and for additional services. To note, surgery $$$ was not included. Im still reeling from the effects of this.

If I were dealing with patient owners, i would bill for what was done that day and for what we know going on that day. CTVESH estimates are a lot better than AVES but still. My estimate kept getting higher and higher by each person I talked to. Felt a little like price gouging at times. But what can you do. You are vulnerable and don't know anything about pet anatomy.just my two cents. Other than that.great place

This was the saddest trip as we had to take our beloved baby after his Rainbow Journey. The staff at CTV were very sweet and considerate when they took our sweet baby and when we went to pick him back up to bring him home forever, they responded quickly when we walked in the door and were SO comforting. We received his little paw print and a tiny bit of his fur. As well as his beautiful tiny wooden box even though he is now free to run and play and watch over us until we meet again. We will never stop loving you Bookie!

LITERALLY. THE. BEST! I have had MANY furbabies over the years and have seen maaaaaaaaaaaaany vets, but this company and the staff at Central Texas Vet are THE BEST! I recently found out my little precious maltipoo has cancer. Vets EVERYWHERE are backed up for months and I was freaking out because these masses were getting bigger. My CA doctor and Dr. Zacher (from CTVSE) were able to connect on the phone, review medical records, and we got in with a cancellation. Dr. Zacher IS FREAKING AWESOME!

She's fast, thorough, efficient and LOVING to my precious little one! She knows what she's talking about and I trust her. She did a phenomenal job with this huge incision my baby needed, but she got all the masses and we were SO HAPPY they are benign. The office staff are amazing, always professional and answered the no less than A MILLION questions I had following the surgery (because I had to make sure I followed every single instruction to a T). Dr. Harris is SO AWESOME TOO!

She has been hooking up with other doctors and specialists to make sure that my baby's additional needs are met in a way that makes sense, is affordable, and that we don't waste time with appointments, but are going to the right doctor for the right treatment. I just can't say enough kind words about CTVSE. I was so scared that I wouldn't find a place I could trust with the most special little life, my furbaby.

But I am thrilled beyond belief that I found CTVSE because they not only saved my baby's life, but they (in a way) saved mine. I didn't realize how much stress and anxiety I was carrying around once I found out she had cancer. But they are taking EXCELLENT care of her and I thank God I found them!

I wanted to leave a review particularly because I was extremely impressed with the doctors and all of the staff here. My cat ate a lily leaf - which is extremely toxic to cats. He had to be there for three full days in Kitty ICU, and they saved his life. When Dr. Evans (sp?) first met with me, she was very kind and explained his care in detail. The hospital was upfront about the costs as well - even pointing to an external option for payment assistance if I needed it.

Everyone there was absolutely wonderful, and the facilities are really nice as well. I won't hesitate to go directly to them if needed in the future (I hope I don't need too!). I wish I could make them my family vet - But understand the need for emergency care and am very thankful they are there. Thank you so very much for saving our fur baby!

I had an emergency with my greyhound in the middle of the night. I was worried he had bloat, which can become fatal very quickly. The staff was very helpful on the phone and very knowledgeable, friendly and caring when we came in. I have been to the Round Rock location before (the physical therapists there did wonders). It's so reassuring to know I have two great options should an emergency arise again (or if we are in need of physical therapy again). Thank you so much to the staff that took great care of us!

Very grateful for the way we were treated here. I was a walk-in visitor with my dog who was having a stomach issue. Everyone was courteous and professional, our tech was fantastic. The office was very busy but we were in and out in just under 2 hours. There were no unnecessary tests or treatments, and the bill, while not cheap, was very reasonable for being a walk-in emergency visit. Big thanks to the team here.

I met the staff/doctors of Central Tx Specialty Hospital on 1/1/22 when having to make a hard decision about our family cat. Every person we interacted with was caring and sympathetic to the difficult end of life our cat was facing. We had never been to this pet hospital but it was easy to find, clean, inviting etc The staff was in tune with my daughter during this grieving process, (spoke w/me alone re: certain details) and the veterinarian spoke directly to her and informed her of everything at her age level.

We were given unlimited time to stay with our cat before and after medications were given. We received a sympathy card in the mail and a sweet voicemail checking on us and informing that his ashes were available for pickup when we were ready. I've had 4 legged family members my entire life (most during my adult life) and 20+ yrs experience with veterinary care in Austin.

Central Texas Specialty Hospital stands out in my mind and will continue to use despite not living in Round Rock. I highly recommend driving extra miles/minutes to experience this amazing location with your pets! Thank you to everyone that helped my family during this sad New Years Day. --Lesley

The staff here at CTVSEH is very nice and professional. They were quick to respond to any questions I had through email after my dog's TPLO surgery. My only conplaint is that when they sent her home from surgery (they had kept her overnight), she appeared to have feces all over her backside as though she had an explosive accident. It was smelled terrible.

It has also dried and caked onto her skin and fur. There was no sign that anyone had tried to clean this off of her or anything, just left it there to dry and harden onto her body. Even more so they instructed me to not bathe her, that I could only use wet wipes if she was in need of a bath. It was a struggle to get it off of her and probably would have been much easier to clean if they had done something when it was still fresh and wet.

Even just a small spray of water would have gotten it off and was nowhere near her incision. I would think it would be easy to put some water and wash her off or even wipe off with a wet rag. Other than this the team was very responsive and kind. All the techs and doctors were very kind and professional. My dog loved them all, she wasn't frightened or scared one bit to be there. She was excited even, to come back for her re-checks.

It is with the greatest regret that I am writing this. Our 1 year old puppy collapsed and was rushed to the Central Texas Veterinary Specialty & Emergency Hospital on Frontier Trail in Austin December 17th at 11:30pm. The staff met me in the lobby and rushed her to the back. We were immediately told they require a $500 deposit, which I promptly paid.

They came back out and told me the estimate was $2700-$3500 for an estimated 3 day stay. I approved and they asked if I could pay the high side of the estimate that night. I didn't have that much in checking and the automated service at the bank wouldn't let me transfer that much. They said I had to pay at least $1000 more before I left and they said that I could bring the rest Saturday when the bank opened.

I left to come home, and 28 minutes later, after leaving at midnight, they called at 12:28 am and said she needed an additional procedure, for an additional $800. I approved, but was getting the feeling I was getting taken advantage of. I didn't sleep much that night and finally went to sleep around 5:30 am and was awoken at 6:28am by another vet stating that I needed to be up there by 8 am with the balance due because they had a tech who was going to be there who could do a sonogram to see what was wrong and if I wasn't there by 8 they wouldn't be able to do the procedure.

Not only that, but now the estimate was going to be in the $6000-$8000 range. I rushed there before the bank opened to pay, leaving my checking account overdrawn (until 9am when the bank opened) just to find out the tech wasn't even there at 8. A few hours later my puppy had to be euthanized and they said there was nothing more they could do. I feel like I lost my pet and all my savings in less than 12 hours. Merry Christmas Central Texas Veterinary Specialty & Emergency Hospital., I hope y'all had a great Christmas, because we sure didn't.

Absolutely NO compassion or empathy during the whole ordeal and an absolutely horrific experience. I have requested that the owner call me to discuss, however we still have not heard anything back from her. I had to post this and plan on leaving reviews everywhere I can and telling as many people as possible for the rest of my time on earth about this heart wrenching event in our lives.

The staff was rude and did not seem to care about the state my dog was in. I brought her in as she was in labor, stressed to them her behavior and previous labor difficulties. They allowed my dog to stay in the kennel in the back for an hour before even examining her. She was very uncomfortable. Finally they call us to a room just to tell us they had to run a bunch of extra tests and Xrays on her to make sure she was "ready" when clearly we knew she was ready. 4,500 for a csection plus the extra tests they wanted to run on her!

I finally told them I was taking her else where. Still paid them $190 for an exam, BS! The vet hospital I ended up taking her too, said there was no reason for extra tests. She was clearly ready and they got the job done! Never will return to this clinic and recommend you save your time and take your pets to an actual place that cares for animals as they should. (Also, once her puppies were born, there was one stuck in the canal the whole time she was at this vet office!

He is having breathing issues due to it and that's something they could've prevented if they checked her like they were supposed too!) absolutely no sympathy for these animals.

Had to take my kitty here in the middle of the night. They were patient and wonderful with us as we found out some devastating news. The doctors and nurses walked us through what was needed and what needed to be done and the whole time made us and our kitty comfortable while we sorted through testing and diagnostics. They were also super responsive when sending the results to our vet.

While we had to end our babies suffering a day later, the information and help we received here helped us make an informed, and ultimately, right decision. For that, I will be eternally grateful. Highly recommend this hospital and the people here Thank you all so much.

Shame on this facility and their rehabilitation program. I have a retired military working dog. A veteran of our country and their facility demanded he have Trazadone for rehab. Which is shameful since we have worked closely with Texas A&M Small Animal Hospital and our Military Working Dog Hospital for rehab and he does just fine at both facilities.

We were looking for a local rehabilitation program but clearly CTVSEH does NOT have the skills and knowledge to rehabilitate working dogs and would rather drug them.

SHAME ON YOU CTVSEH! THEY DESERVE NO STARS!

Saved my little cat after he was hit by a car. I brought him in after hours and they took him in immediately for treatment. They were incredible at communicating with me throughout my cats treatment, even between shift changes. The whole staff is responsive and kind and take time to get to know both the pet and the owner. Thank you Dr Adamovich and your team for getting my little guy back to me

My puppy was bitten by a snake. I called them before I left to make sure they were able to get her in. They took my info over the phone, so when we got there they could take her straight back. They were very nice and explained all the options for treatment and cost as well. Will definitely use them if I have another emergency.

My wife and I were referred to this clinic by our new vet in the area. Our baby had what our vet thought to he an ACL tear. We were clearly concerned and nervous. The doctor, Ms. Bailey, was absolutely helpful and explained everything. She was very knowledgeable and answered every question we had. She put us at ease as much as we could have been. Our puppy underwent surgery and the employees helped us every step of the way.

We have called and emailed them several times since the surgery and they have gotten back to us the same day with more than enough information to move forward. I don't know how much our surgery should have been, we just wanted our puppy to be healthy. With that being said, it was a little pricey for our procedure. I'm not upset about the amount that we paid given the attention that we got. Overall, I am very happy with our service. Our puppy is still in recovery so please wish us luck.

There was quite a wait for help with my dog. Spent 3 hours there. The staff was very caring, friendly, and helpful. They didn't try to run up a bill on me. I wanted an x-ray of my dog's foot, and they told me that it was not necessary, and it was some kind of bug bite or sting. I was very happy that it was not serious, and they didn't have me spend unnecessary money.

They were highly recommended by several people at vets that couldn't see my dog. I highly recommend them also. If not for the wait that they forewarned me about, I would give 5 stars. I would have waited 10 hours for my baby if I had to!

My husband accidentally stepped on our puppy while playing in the yard. It was later in the evening and he didn't know what to do and I was out of town. He called me and we found this after hours hospital. As he was driving he received a call that his father had passed away. My sister called ahead and they were kind enough to put him in a private room so he could grieve and make difficult phone calls while they treated our pup.

I'm very greatly for the quick care they gave our puppy and the kindness they showed my husband. They kept our puppy overnight to keep a close watch on her head for swelling and she was able to come home the next day. The cost might be a little high but I appreciate that they are open 24/7 and have a well trained staff that are efficient and kind.

I had to take my cat in for a blockage in his nose that was later diagnosed as cancer. The teams both in the South Austin location and the Round Rock location were AMAZING! Not only did they help me take care of Scutter, they cared. I eventually had to put him down and they were amazing. They gave me time with him and talked me through everything with such detail and concern.

I really felt like they felt my pain. EVERY SINGLE person I interacted with was AMAZING! But it doesn't end there. They sent me a card of condolence signed by the staff and then they sent me the sweetest card with a picture of my Scutter on the front and the even made a contribution to Morris Animal Foundation in his name. My heart is broken that Scutter is no longer here but somehow these 2 offices made me feel comforted. I am forever grateful for their kindness, generosity, care, and concern.

DO NOT GO TO THIS VET!!!!!!!!!! SHE IS AWFUL AND JUST ABOUT KILLED MY 7 MONTH OLD PUPPY!!!! She somehow thought a bite with 2 distinct marks was dermatitis. And grossly misdiagnosed my dog. I am 100% convinced she is either incompetent or lazy or both. You can CLEARLY tell she did not look closely at my dog. she saw redness and thought oh okay quick fix. and then she had the audacity to think it was okay o send my sad scared puppy outside with a shaved chest and neck with OPEN WOUNDS oozing pus and blood still.

She honestly looked 10x worse coming out of that sham of a "hospital" looking WORSE than when we dropped her off. AND THEN she had the nerve to not even sign the paperwork and make sure her name was NOT on the paperwork I was given. I had to request information about my visit at minimum of 4 times in a day to get an answer out of these money hungry evil vultures. even then, i still wasn't given the name of the extremely rude, incompetent, vet tech that told me to just put a tshirt on her and call it a day.

This tech also shrugged and said üm i dont know could be anything. good luck"when i asked her what she could be älergic"to. This supposed "veterinarian" also gave us ZERO after care instructions except to the prescription dosage and times. BUT they told me i needed to get a medicated shampoo off Amazon that I KNOW they know is 10+ days back ordered even with Prime. Overall, I paid about $600 for this crock of a vet to misdiagnose her and let her go home still infected and gross and miserable.

They did not test her skin for allergens, bloodwork, or urine. And her neck/chest was 3x bigger than it should have been, I can say i've never hated anyone until I "met" this so called doctor. I say "met" because i had NO IDEA who cared for my dog because she never came to talk to us EVEN when we made a U Turn and came back to say this is unacceptable!!!

She clearly takes NO pride in her work and cares about nobody but herself and her wallet. Now i need to find someone who actually cares about my animals because Kristina Miller is a negligent, indecent human who should never be trusted with another person's animals. My poor baby now has ANOTHER infection. Probably because of the dirty rag the vet tech gave us to "help" with the oozing. Kristina Miller I hope you know I strongly believe in karma and in due time I can only hope you can see how negligent you were.

I dont know if you need to go back to school but you need to re-evaluate your decisions in life and decide if you care more about your wallet or innocent animals because trust me, Penelope and I know the truth.

NEVER BRING YOUR ANIMAL TO THE HEART OF TEXAS IN ROUND ROCK TEXAS THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY AND NOT CARE ABOUT YOU OR YOUR ANIMALUNTIL THEY GET YOUR MONEY AND THEN AFTER THAT, OCNE YOU'RE GONE, YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN.

DO BETTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I tried two other veterinary clinics before I finally lucked out with CTVEH. The other two clinics said nothing was wrong with my dog after sending them multiple videos of my dog struggling to breath. His breathing was so bad that I rushed him to CTVEH and he was FINALLY diagnosed with kennel cough. They were able to prescribe the medication and send me home with the medication by the end of the appointment.

So speedy! The staff and veterinarians were all so helpful and compassionate. All of my thousands of questions were answered. Even though I didn't have an appointment, I only had to wait for 30 minutes! They have great availability/hours and I couldn't be happier with this clinic. Look no further, Central Texas Veterinary is the place to go for any of your fur baby's needs!

Stryker has been receiving rehab for his extensive arthritis for awhile now and has made great progress while there. I can't be more pleased with the staff! They're professional, caring, and he loves being there! I'm very grateful for all they've done to increase my boy's quality of life!

Vets and staff there are always so kind and they take great care of my pups in emergency situations. So thankful for everyone at this place. Gives me great peace of mind knowing they’re there always there for us. They also did a great job with adjusting their services to be appropriate for COVID-19 precautions.

First, the care they provide is first rate. I’ve taken my cat, Hazel, in a few times and have been treated very well. The last time however she was just too sick and there was noting they could do. But the handled everything very professionally. Of course it killed me when she died in my arms, but she was just too sick and I had to let her go. It was for the best. They’re not cheap, but what the do is exceptional.

My 13 year old Chihuahua has had a mass on her shoulder for the past 7 years or so. It had never increased in size or showed that it caused her any discomfort until a few days ago when it nearly tripled in size and the once fluid sack seemed hard. The staff here was very friendly and informative on what they were doing and why they were doing it. It ended up only costing $180 to have the mass drained along with antibiotics and pain meds.

I was amazed at that price considering I had been quoted nearly $500 for the same procedure to be done at my primary vet. They referred me to a great surgeon in the area to contact to handle the rest of her mass that couldn't be drained.

My husband and I took our dog here yesterday because she was choking on a Greenies dental chews. We attempted dog heimlich and tried sweeping her throat at home and were unsuccessful so we immediately drove to the hospital. We were helped at once (the tech took my dog from my arms and they started working on her). We were informed during the entire time they were saving my dog's life. Dr. Soirez explained their findings (xray report), procedure (basically endoscopy for dogs), and our dog's status very well.

Everyone was professional and handled the crisis with ease. We could tell they all have a passion for animals and it shows in their bedside manner. I can't thank Dr. Soirez and her team enough for saving my dog's life.

This place went above and beyond for my dog. Dr Pearce treated my Leia like her own and did everything in her power to help us through a horrible situation I am beyond grateful for the time they gave us with our little girl. Dr Johnson is a companionate and calming presence during times of hardship and I will never forget what this hospital did for me.

I had cause to spend some time here this evening with a dog that needed treatment for a wound. The friendliness and professionalism of the staff, vet techs, and vet ranged from just fine to awesome; it was plain to see that the vet techs and vets really cared about the well being of my dog. The cost was about 1/5 of what I was expecting to pay for an emergency after-hours vet visit.

I was also impressed by the speed of treatment given the number of customers and the less-than-dire seriousness of the wound being treated. If I had to find something to criticize, it would be that the entrance to the parking lot is not completely obvious and I needed to loop around 183 for a second try. I don't understand the schizophrenic split between one and five star reviews for this place. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend or come back.

In one of the worst case scenarios for a pup, I am so thankful for the staff of this facility and Dr. Simmonds. They were kind, understanding and made me feel better throughout a bad situation. Most importantly, they took great care of my pup. Yes, emergency vet visits can be expensive, but good quality care is worth every penny.

We took our dog in today because he woke up yelping and appeared to be in severe pain. After calling around for clinics that would take a Saturday walk-in, we decided on this clinic and brought him in. We got a fast assessment, diagnosis, and treatment plan from a great vet and all staff were wonderful. Highly recommend.

Last summer my dog was hit by a car. I rushed her to Emergency Animal Hospital of Northwest Austin simply because it was the closest one I could find, and I was new here and didn't really know where anything was. Everyone involved was incredibly calm, cool, and collected - which kept me from completely losing my mind. They were very understanding and allowed me to hold her while they put her down because she had so much brain trauma.

They gave me a room to be with her afterward and gave me plenty of time to sit with my dog and say my goodbyes. When time came to leave, they completely prepped her and placed her in bodybag for me. I cannot say enough good things about these people, and I was dealing with them for the first time in of the most traumatic events in my life. I am deeply thankful to all of them.
