My cat Bromley had cancer in his leg and they removed the tumor rather than amputation.
Unfortunately the cancer spread and he passed away .But we were able to spend 3 more months with us playing and enjoying the outdoors.

I chose Central to board my cat mainly because they have someone in the building 24/7. Unless you make a separate arrangement they don't tend to your pet after hours but just finding a place with someone there was so important and next to impossible. When I took my boy for the initial exam the vet, tech and staff were great. My cat is extremely nervous and the tech calmed him down so much. The vet was great, didn't seem to be looking for problems to make more $. Anyone who has dealt with Westchester gets knows all about that. Their fees were so reasonable too. Less than $80 for the office visit/exam and $33 per night to board. They actually spend time talking to you, gave me a run down of how my cat was during the 4 days he boarded, it's very obvious they care about the animals and give them a lot of individual attention. I was able to bring his food, bowls and blanket from home, which other places I've boarded him didn't allow. I felt very comfortable leaving my neurotic, weird and nervous cat with them, especially during a stressful family time. I think we'll be using them as our regular vet from now on, too. Thank you, Central Animal Hospital, for taking such good care of my boy during such a stressful time!

I cannot say enough about how nice the staff at Central Animal Hospital are! From the receptionists to the doctors, they are top notch. They follow up, even after hours, always make time in their schedule to fit you in. We've had to take my kitten in a few times since we've gotten her and each time the doctors and staff put me at ease.
I’ve been taking my dogs to Central Animal Hospital for four years. Dr. Donatella Hecht is the best, but all of the doctors and staff are all very helpful!
Love this place. Heard so many good things from friends, brought our new dog over and we are so happy. Very organized, super efficient and everyone is so friendly. Doctor was so nice, encouraged questions, took her time and made some honest recommendations. Highly recommended.
I was very pleased with everyone at Central Animal Hospital from the front desk, to the caring Technician and of course Dr. Hecht. Dr. Hecht was very thorough in her examination, answered all of my questions and very sweet with our kittens. I know I have found the right place for my cats.
We love Central Animal Hospital! After our 11 year old dog, Keeno, was hurt and we discovered that he needed TTA surgery, we came to Central Animal Hospital, even though we live about 1.5 hours north! After visiting another animal hospital, they had told us that we would need to wait almost two weeks for a consultation, not even surgery, and we didn't want to delay the process since our dog was already in pain and unable to walk! After researching and finding Central, we called them and they were able to see us within that same day, and fit Keeno in for surgery 1.5 days later! The whole process with them and has been seamless. Keeno is now on the road to recovery and we genuinely thank the amazing team - from the staff at the front desk and the remarkable vet tech, Cheryl, to Keeno's incredible doctor, Dr. Aura Truslow. Everyone at Central showed both my husband and I, and more importantly, Keeno, a tremendous amount of care and love, and we will always be grateful for their hard work, reassurance, and wonderful, high-quality care. We love them and would recommend them to anyone looking for wonderful veterinary services! Thank you, to the entire staff!
Took my dog in to get his swollen foot looked at today and got to meet the lovely Dr. Blum. She examined him and loved on him as if he was her own dog. She spoke to me about all my options and we decided on a treatment plan. By far the best vet experience i have ever had with any pet. Couldn't ask for a more caring and knowledgeable Dr. I will never take my peta to anyone else!

If your Scarsdale pet has fleas, you are not alone. There are more than 2,000 different types of fleas in the world, according to PetMD, and more than 300 species in North America alone. Fleas and ticks are a nuisance for you and for your pet, but these pests can also spread diseases. Flea and tick treatment help you get rid of these insects before they cause a problem. Fleas lay their eggs on animals, such as raccoons, opossums or other dogs, and these eggs fall off as the animal wanders through your pet's environment.
Planning a vacation or a business trip means you want to take measures to care for your cat. Boarding a pet offers a solution to help with your goals. By leaving your pet in our facility, you can focus on other interests and goals. Our cat boarding procedures focus on the health of your pet. We require every pet to go through appropriate vaccinations and parasite prevention before they stay in our facility. We may ask about your cat's medical history and make sure we are aware of any medications your pet needs during the stay.
Several years ago, we assisted Dr. J. Alan Clark, professor of biology at Fordham University, in a study involving nocturnal bird flight. Dr. Clark was gathering data to test the effects of light and noise on bird behavior during migration and has successfully instigated a voluntary Lights Out program in NYC to save energy while reducing bird mortality due to collisions. And, we are especially proud of our own Dr. Michael Woltz and 2 of our licensed veterinary technicians who assisted at Ground Zero just a few days following the Twin Tower tragedy.

Did you know that pets have dermatology needs too? Much like the human version of this medical specialty, veterinary dermatology helps pets with a variety of skin-related issues, including allergies and cancers. At Central Animal Hospital in Scarsdale, NY, we are happy to provide a variety of dermatology services for your furry family members. There are a few symptoms that commonly mean that you should take your pets to the veterinarian. As many skin conditions relate to allergies, our veterinarians will identify and treat your pet, creating a treatment plan that may include discovering which allergy is causing the issue.
